I think the spine whack test critical. Not quite as critical as asking how many pound of pressure to penetrate into the muscle or fat layer to require 10 stitches or some lunacy like that.
Had mine for a couple of weeks. Definitely one of (if not the) my favorite buys of the year, out of ALL the knives I bought, including ones that cost hundreds of dollars. I love carrying larger knives and fidgety action and this just fit the bill perfectly. Plus, it just melts into my hand so well. It's a huge knife but doesn't feel or carry like one. It doesn't look too "threatening" for my place of employment either. The designer really hit the spot with this one. I put two CIvivi titanium clips on mine. CJRB was all out of their black clips and the Civivis fit perfectly. I'm one of those freaks who wants some of his knives to be truly ambidextrous and puts two pocket clips on them. :) Plus, these Civivi clips are so low profile! Did you know that CJRB has a premium version of the Frack, with a Ti body, beautifully polished S90V blade and a Ti clip? I am very close to pulling the trigger on that one. It's been on Holiday sales for $180.
@dopeymark They've come a long way since the early days. CJRB generally does them well and the action on this knife is very good. The button initially sticks a bit but after a drop of pivot oil and opening practice, becomes crisp. All lock types have their pros and cons and can be botched by knife makers. The big advantage of the button lock is that your fingers don't have to be anywhere near the path of the blade when opening or closing. Plus, they are just fun to mess/fidget with.
I did no about the premium frack, it looks so good. I like both Civivi and cjrb milled clips. I'm starting to really like cjrb clips but they are more money. Civivis are nice and low pro. That's funny about the double clips. I'll have to try that 🤣
CJRB in my experience has the strongest best geometry for plunge locks in the entire game. Never had one fail. Can't say that for anyone else even protech
I have been a Civivi/Sencut fanboy for a LONG time. I purchased this CJRB in the Steel/CNC. I am blown away with this knife. I definitely need to look at more models
I think Civivi and cjrb do great for the money. 10, 15, 20 years ago you couldn't find knives like we have nowadays for the price. Years back the knives were usually tough to open, not that comfortable, even shittier heat treats and a plethora of other things plus they were 60-90$ for basic bull shit materials, steel handle and aus 8 for 70,80$ I love the knife world today. Keeping everything in perspective and having an open mind allows you to be reasonable in the fact that knives today smoke knives of years passed in every way

Spine whacker vision! Have you ever had lock-stick with a CJRB button lock? I have a large pyrite that has it bad. I'm hoping it will break in and get better. Thanks for the info on all the lock failure. ;)
😆 whaddup brother. I've had varying degrees of button stick some are perfect ( I like a tad bit ) then some have been overly sticky. I usually continue to break it in for several days or even longer. If it continues I'll take em apart and mess with it by then it's easing up. If it's not by then I'd ask for a replacement brother. Button stick isn't a bad thing unless it never goes away. It just means them tolerances are TIGHT TIGHT 😆
@@GBall_Vision just seating the button and blade correctly , I struggle with these button locks lol like the pyrite has the liners you put on first before the scales , this it's all one piece and snug so button kept shifting on me. I also tried switching blades silver on black vise versa but that doesn't work out too well because of the PVD coating. But I'll never struggle again , was a good lesson lol
