    I heard of this being done, but didn't know just how it was done. Thank you.

    Thank you very much. I have a Kundo and I changed the torsion spring. I use the Horolovar 0032" - .081mm Anniversary Clock Suspension Spring but the clock gained more than 30 minutes every 24 hours, so I followed your instruction to thin it and it works great!

    I did this, thinned an 0032 down to 002xx something couldn't measure that level but it worked, clock is running now for several weeks, very happy! thanks for this video.

      @@torsiondell Hello and thank you for the reply. I do think after monitoring it thru spring to warmer season now, it is definitely rather temperature sensitive, more so than I'd expected. However it runs strong and runs 24/7 !

    Love the video Derek. You did a great job in explaining it all. This is exactly the way I was taught by the folks that I kept asking answers to. Keep up the great work and your subscriptions will increase. Great job.

    So glad I watched this will be trying this very soon. Also seen that these clocks should not be oiled, I have all ways after cleaning oiled the pivot baths but no where else is that right.

      They will run without oil because I didn’t oil one as an experiment and it’s been running for 5 years but I do use a very small amount of very thin oil on pivots only ( nowhere else)

    Buona sera, sono Robert ,ti sto seguendo da Italia Pescara. O seguito tutto, orologio a 400 day anniversari funziona ma cammina sempre 5 min per 1 ora indietro . non capisco perché ? Mi poi dare un consiglio. GRAZIE

      Hi I think I translated correctly, if the clock is loosing time and no more adjustment on pendulum then the torsion spring needs to be thicker.

    I have a Bentima 400day that wont go slow enough, would I need a weaker spring? I also have a Kein that will not keep running, everything looks good under the magnifying glass, and everything moves very freely for the time it will run, will it need a new spring? Im not the most clued up on these clocks but your videos are very helpful!

    • @torsiondell
      @torsiondell  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the Bentima won’t regulate slow enough then a thinner spring is needed or thin the one you have, as for the other one it’s probably out of beat.

      @@torsiondell Thanks Dell! How do I tell spring size? Ill try thinning it down to see, and ill try adjust the beat on the Kein.
