Lagavulin is my fave distillery. I love this Offerman charred and the 4th is fabulous! Rum cask. I am not usually a fan of rum casking but this one is amazing! $119 in Canada before taxes. I bought a case!!! Recently bought a case of this 3rd edition as well. The 16 is $200 in Canada and I adore it! It was my gateway into peated scotch!! I LOVE Lagavulin smoke!!

I completely agree, Lagavulin really knows how to nail those special editions. The Offerman series has been incredible, and it's awesome to hear you're enjoying the Rum Cask finish-definitely a unique twist on their signature smoke. The 16 is a classic for sure, a true gateway to the world of peated scotch. Cheers to your love of Lagavulin smoke and building up that stash! 🥃🔥

Nothing wrong with mixing up the narrative structure of the videos!
Fair analysis of the collab. If I am a fan I will tend to pay the premium, unless it is too big. Value means different things to different people, and having a celebrity-endorsed product is one way that manifests for some. As you always say, each to their own. Kanpai!

Cheers Mac. It's a decent drop so I'm happy with the price on this occasion. I'd like to try the others too if I get a chance

Interesting to see a review of this one. Lagavulin makes good spirit just the pricing these days usually keeps me away relatively speaking.

It's definitely on the up price wise. A real shame

OK ... I better try this then. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I struggle with celebrity whiskies, but ... OK. I should try. Cheers!

If you get chance to have a drop, but I wouldn't put any undue effort into it. Plenty of other Lags to try

I picked this up a week or so ago, everything is on sale for the holiday. I don't have the most distinguishing palate, but I do like Lagavulin. When I first tried it I thought, yeah that's Lagavulin. I wish I had a 16 to compare it against, because I'm not sure I'd notice a difference. Maybe I'll pick up a 16 before this runs out.

I genuinely thought the same but also without anything to compare it to.

I’ve seen this retail for $90-100 in the US. At that price, I can spend just a wee bit more for the 16 or about 20 quid less for the 8 year (which is my favorite LV). I know, age isn’t everything, but it’s something that to consider with these special releases. Especially when there’s a “novelty” cost increase - LV needs to pay Offerman for his great whisky commercials and for using his face. Still, it does seem like a tasty dram! Glad you got to try it, Vin. 😃

Hard to screw up a Lagavulin, so Offernan chose wisely. Can't remember if you tried the Guiness cask edition. Personally, I liked that one, but couldn't taste any Guiness notes, mind you I only had a 30ml sample. Cheers from 🇨🇦🎄

I've often found that with beer casks. Tastes different sure, but there's never enough beer character in it to interest me

I tried all three side by side and this one was the best one in my opinion (also my whisky clubs opinion). The charred casks really go well with the Lagavulin house style and I'd happily get this if it were readily available all the time. The Guinness was good, I did enjoy the creaminess and a more velvety mouthfeel but the first version didn't stand out at all. It was just a youngish Lagavulin. Not bad but not memorable. Cheers!

You can still find it in Washington D.C. for $89.99 and I am definitely buying a second bottle!

Good luck finding it in the 70 pound range. Here in North America over 300 dollars if you can find it

I've been curious about this one for a while. Mainly because it's a Lagavulin above 43%! But haven't taken the plunge yet because of the price. So thanks for the notes and thoughts.
As someone who has never watched the show, this collaboration is a weird one, as to me it's just some random dude's face and name on the label 😂

Yeah, without that connection I can't see much reason to get these. Interesting enough, but not for everyone
