Hey! Just wanted to drop a note - I'm a beginner and have picked up HTML, CSS, and the basics of WordPress. Your videos are awesome, way better than the 90%+ on TH-cam that only focus on installing plugins. Keep it up!🤗
Hey bro, long-time subscriber! What do you think about this video in 2024? Also, any plans for a new WordPress series covering the latest updates and features?😀
Hi. I don't know much about WordPress, and i ended to your chanel because of your way to use Docker, which is the best. I'm interested in Docker because i want to develop with Moodle, which is a little bit like WordPress in some point. If you ever want to develop your chanel by showing how to develop code with Docker and an other framework, for my part, i would be very interested to learn how to develop with Docker and Moodle, or at least, how to get a nice set-up...
@@howToDev I'm the one who should thank. I think Moodle carries good projects, and we miss explanation as far as coding is concern, on TH-cam. And now even small companies may consider they could benefit from LMS, for there employees, so...
It depends on so many things: budget, time, knowledge, resources. A simple presentational site with a budget below $1000? Not worth investing in anything but a theme. Budget above $5k gets custom design. Budget above $10k gets custom design and custom coding and maybe one or two extra people. That's how I see it. When it comes to page builders like Oxygen or Elementor I prefer to use Webflow, directly, for real.
Thanks for your opinion on this. I specifically avoided talking about money innthe video because everyone has his own vision on his/her value. I for one almost never work on a fixed budget. I usually let my client know my hourly rate and estimate roughly the time i need to do his work. I try to never compromise on quality and i haven't used a pre-built theme for about 8 years. I usually have a boilerplate theme created by me with all that is needed for any website and then i tailor it for the client's needs. It's not worth it to just install a theme and fill the website with plugins to get things done on a specific budget then have the client mad at the site breaking all the time. A happy client will bring you another 2 new clients. An unhappy client will make you lose 10. So as a professional i prefer to take work i can be proud of and which can bring me more clients rather then lose some
@@howToDev I like your comment. I've developed themes from scratch, I've developed themes using different frameworks (undescores, bedrock, genesis) and I also built one or two small plugins. It all boils down to client's needs but budget is also very important.
