Yes...I heard that the city has changed a lot with many new areas, parks, new port etc... Cant say is it good or bad (my first visit) , but I liked time spent in Limassol :)
They have totally ruined the area of the Old Port. It used to be just that, an old port where the fishing boats came in and the fishermen used to sit and chat over coffee in their little cafe. There was a traditional taverna that did nice meals and it was very quiet there at night. Now it is all concrete and glass and traffic. It is very sad to see what has happened to Cyprus.
Hi Maggie, I can understand you and agree with you... when I m thinking about nice Old Port i just can image what you are talking about...Too bad I dont have chance to visit Limassol when it was still not too much ,,commercial" but still i like Limassol very much, some things can be changed but some places will always keep good spirit...
