Hi Jordy, you asked a trivial question, but so important! "Can you see this?" This is exactly my problem! I can't imagine what I could do with this or that piece of wood...😯

Nothing wrong copying Ryan Cook. He clearly has a lot of talent. You learn and go on to develop your own style. In fact we are copying Jordy and learning from him. Thats what a mentor is for.

I'm carving for 4 month now and I need it as therapy. During carving I forget everything around me. In the evening I watch you and other video to learn from them and to get inspiration. So please go on. 20 years ago I was a instructor/ teacher gardening ,forestery snd chainsaw. But because of Arthritis I cant handle a chainsaw any more.

Anybody else have issues, when you burn the carvings, like, it does the reverse of what you want, the deep parts don't burn that much (especially on hard woods which is all we really got around here) and the high points get charred, and sanding helps but... tried propane, map gas, acetelene... same issues... big torches, little jewelers torches... Also, thanks Jordy, I get a lot out of your videos and you're a joy to watch and you're also pretty hilarious

Thanks Eric, next time try painting ur deeper cut lines black then lightly burn over the paint , then sand away , problem fixed and black paint blends in

Brilliant video jordy . I also drink skimmed milk 🥛 it has the same amount of calcium as full fat and is healthier as well . Toothache is the worst , I have an absess below a tooth 😫 it's bloody horrible, I have the dentist tomorrow finally get it sorted.

One product type I've used to waterproof strengthen and stop wood rot is wood hardener. Seems to work well, just a little on the pricy side.
