The mud is there because it's a depression that clings. He's clubbing, drinking and whatnot to escape realities of life. But like mud, you'll never really escape life. In the behind the scenes, he said the way the crowd is blurred and the heat vision is how to interpret how you see everyone when intoxicated. Also, the exit sign is always bright in the back ( there is always an exit if you chose it)
♦Jimin mentioned that one of his fav movies “Like Crazy” inspired parts of the song aside from the title of song. In the beginning as well as ending to the song, he even samples excerpts from it. Jimin has also said that many of the songs on the album convey what he was going through, his thoughts, his feelings, his emotions as well as despair & depression, during the pandemic in the last few yrs. He also was hoping that maybe it could help others by way of relating & going through similar difficulties during pandemic. So this song Like Crazy, could also be during that time, thinking back while laying his head down, on table in that depressing small room, dreaming of the better times in the past, when he was free to enjoy himself, as well as being with someone or with friends, or even around ppl in general, being able to be free to go out & party. Which is why he even said in the lyrics please don’t wake me up from this dream. I want to stay here.. Maybe that was what all the dirty grimyness also represented, despair of situation, how he felt or how things were at that time, even when it seemed to even ooze into his dream state.
Slight correction, the speaking voices at the start and end are inspired by Like Crazy but they are not directly from the movie. They were recorded by two vocal artists from the US and they improv'd the lines.
Also to add, I noticed that between Jimin & Yoongi (no 🚢 ing intended atm), them two used to over drink a lot of alcohol. And there's little ones that talked the most about having a slight concerning Dinking problem. And I know that they all drink, like Hobie days in 'Daydream', but it wasnt Concerning or alarming.
Mud usually represents being stuck. He is trying to stay in and go back in to the dream. Blurriness can also show that he’s the dreamer. The choreo he did on Jimmy Fallon is amazing. He has an English version. Ty
This was about escapism - which is why he ends up back where he started…like waking from a dream “alone again”. That was mud on the ground and mud on his hand at the end - representing the toxicity in his life! Notice the girl who pulls him into the club - she had a muddy hand. Theory is SHE is him…a reflection of him. Having been in many 80s club bathrooms, I can tell you THAT was also an 80s bathroom! 😂 I have heavy nostalgia, every time I hear this song! Everything about it is 80s, right down to the pop synth, bejewelled jean jacket and pants and mullet! Love it!!!! Jimin is so talented!
This song will be stuck in your head and stayed❤ And there's English version of it, so you can sing it while it's being stuck in your head, the best feeling ever to nail the song from start to finish 😂
Mud is on the floor in the kitchen, then mud is falling down the walls, then mud on his hand and boots at the end. I think it represents being stuck. Jimin said his album is about his feelings and thoughts during the pandemic, and he didn't realize he was depressed. He thought he was happy but realized he was supressing his feelings. He talked to the members about when they were in Las Vegas for their concert, and they recommended he channel thought feelings into his music. That's when he started his album. He said he was numbing his feelings with alcohol and escapism.
Yes, to all this. I think the "she" he is referring to is alcohol. You spin me up high, my emotions on ice, I'm outta my mind. It fits so well. The more I watch this the more I notice all the times where he appears lonely or sad in the club. I'm so impressed that he expressed this in music and I also hope he's moved past it. 💜
I loved this song because it’s such a 80s vibe, modernized, and his voice just suits it. It’s that 80s pop MJ, Prince…now Jimin 🤩. This song gets me singing along and dancing in the car.
I have been waiting for your reaction! I have had this song on repeat since it dropped. Please check out the dance video that goes with it. The retro 80's sound is so refreshing, but as usual, this song has a deeper meaning. Written during Covid and at a time when Jimin lost himself a bit.
Yes, 80s child here and this definitely has that vibe. I was a teenager so no clubbing but I remember that synthesizer sound in everything. It was like anyone who could play one had a song. Except the metal bands, lol.
If you notice the hand that pulls him into the club scene is also covered in dried mud. The hand belongs to the woman with long black who briefly comes into focus around the middle of the song before she and Jimin face off on the dance floor, then scene spins and cuts to the bathroom scene where Jimin is facing himself in the mirror. She IS him, or a reflection of him. She even looks like him. That's why his hand is muddy in the end. It's like by following 'her' lead and giving in to escapism, he can't escape being tainted by it even though he spends the music video trying to block it out (like when he's alone in the hall and mud starts seeping out of the walls).
Would love for you to react to the absolutely spectacular live performance of ❣Jimin “Set Me Free Pt.2” from Mnet Mcountdown. Not only was Jimin’s vocals, dancing, as well as stage presence, beyond amazing, but Jimin added some unexpected mind blowing adlibs, plus the background dancers were all equally amazing, as well as the camera work, just stunning, filming everything to perfection. I would also love for you to react to the actual live performance of ❣Jimin “Like Crazy”, preferably from KBS music bank, where you can actually hear Jimin’s real time amazingly beautiful vocals, his dancing, along with backup dancers, in front of audience where you can even hear those amazing, spine-chilling fanchants!
Yep, having gone through the 80s being a fan of synth-pop (still a big Ultravox fan- they were my fave group till BTS came along ☺), I do love this song & its vibe, esp the instrumental break with the drum machine. And the intimate way he sings the verses, as well as how they sound musically, def reminds me of George Michael songs.
DJ getting his outfit material wrong twice is so funny to me for some reason. The studded outfit was full denim and the outfit in the bathroom had leather pants. Both definitely give off 80’s vibes though. Anyway I loved your reactions as always! Been waiting for this one especially.
Always thought Jimin voice suited Pop songs. Love it. If you are interested pls watch Jimin interview and debut live performance of Like Crazy in The Jimin Fallon Show and in Studio Choom :) live stages are fabulous!
Thanks. It's mud in the room on his hands i think to represent heavy feeling. The song is about pandemic time and loneliness. Anyway its a hit song debuted top of Billboard hot 100 in US and still charting worldwide :)
It's so catchy right? You're singing along before the end of the first watch! This song would have been right at home on an episode of Miami Vice! The performance on Jimmy Fallon is great with choreo and the English version (plus his interview).
Not them media playing reactors about that #1 on hot100 we all know its because 29 version while other members previous song getting only 1 version and still remember after all those many versions its still not predicted to got 1 but only top 5 until they release multiple versions again to push it on top
You should look into Jimin Like Crazy Story and Concept Explained by Bookish Theories. It answers all your curiosities about this mv and make you appreciate it even more! Btw, love your reaction!! 💜
Mud....the mud that happens after stars go out..next day bs. Ha😂. Less than zero!!! Time, time, time, see what's become of me. I look around for the possibilities. The Bangels..
at the beginning after the room turns muddy the hand that pulls Jimin has mud on it, and then in the bathroom scene the walls start sorta vomiting mud as well lol I'm not sure what it symbolizes but the whole concept of the mv kinds revolves around Jimin escaping reality into an intoxicating dream, it looks as if the whole thing is a drug induced hallucination
So glad to have y’all back …missed these reactions 💜💜💜yes guys from the graduating class of Michael Jackson, George Michaels, go 1982!!! I’m definitely an 80s music student…but after all that NOONE comes close to BTS
The 80s thing is real! I think of this song as what people in 1986 might have thought music would be like in 2023 😁 For me it hits all the nostalgia but still feels fresh and I love it. It makes me want to dance. Watching you two bopping in unison also makes me want to dance 😂
You need to react to the video of Jimin from the tonight show where the lyrics are in English and him dances with girls and guys, is very sexy and better than this video. Please review that mv you will see the different from both videos, I love the one from Jimmy Fallon.💜💜💜💜💜
JIMIN JIMIN 💛
Jimin made history with "Like Crazy" at #1 Billboard Hot 100 🎉
The mud is there because it's a depression that clings. He's clubbing, drinking and whatnot to escape realities of life. But like mud, you'll never really escape life.

80’s synth pop. He’s wearing a mullet. VERY 80’s.
Who'd have thought Jimin's voice would sound so good singing new wave

tbh if some western artists released this song, this song would be a hit for 2 months.
들어도 들어도 너무 좋은 노래💜💜
You’re definitely hearing the 80s retro with the synthesizer and the baseline 😄
Mud usually represents being stuck. He is trying to stay in and go back in to the dream. Blurriness can also show that he’s the dreamer. The choreo he did on Jimmy Fallon is amazing. He has an English version. Ty

80s dance song yep!
You should watch the explanation of this video. It has a much deeper meaning than you think. And everything in the video represents something.
At the end m happy you react it... and this song so addict.. jimin no #1 at Billboard TOP 100🎉💥🔥💜
Jimin's album is so good guys and has an hidden sing called Letter one of the most beautiful song I've ever listened...

Весь соло альбом Чимин шедевр Все песни из него необычные. Обожаю этот трек.

I was in college in the mid 80s. It was exactly like that!
Thank you
La voz de Jimin es única, es terciopelo. Maravillosa canción

"Less Than Zero" suits this song so well! Good call! ('80s kids unite.) Andrew McCarthy, Jami Gertz, Robert Downey Jr.
Thank you ,bro ❤️🩹🫂
I have been waiting for you guys to do this one. I hope you do the dance practice and the acoustic version too.
The instrumental part reminds me of "Take On Me" by Ah-Ha (1985).

Yes! This made my GenX synth-pop heart soo happy!! 😊
The song itself is more partying to lose yourself/hide from reality-why the ending verses. 💜
Es hermosa la canción y su dulzura es especial. Le recomiendo que escuchen el acústico de ésta canción, se van a enamorar ❤❤❤
Also the big "R" is for the brand Rhude, one of JM's favorite!

is mud supposed to symbolize being in a low, dark depressed place? hence escaping in whatever drug, alcohol for example?
the mud means the emotion depressed.
Please react jimin like crazy live akustik verse ..
