I love everything about this video. I did my first solo international trip last year to Portugal, it was so amazing and incredibly liberating. Also really enjoyed visiting Tasca do Chico on my light night in Lisbon - so amazing.
Making my first solo trip to Barcelona and then Lisbon next month. As the date of my departure comes closer and closer, I have been getting very anxious, but your video reminds me of the reasons why I am taking this trip and how excited I am to see the amazing culture and beauty of Lisbon! You simply can't eat your way through Portugal in just a few days... :) Once you get your fill of Natas, there are plenty of other tasty treats. I learned the hard way (too) that Google is NOT the answer to European Portuguese pronunciation... it doesn't even know European Portuguese. I like a cold Pastel de Nata... without cinnamon (and I love cinnamon).
I think Lisboa is the perfect place to do your first solo holiday!

lots of walking! took the tram a few times and also Uber for longer distances - It’s so cheap there !

super safe ! I took a lot of uber’s at night because they’re super cheap there, but did walk a bit for shorter distances and felt very safe!

You are not alone. I also prefer cold pasteis de nata.
Like most portuguese i prefer them warm. But a good pastel de nata is great hot or cold ss ling its fresh (made in the very day you ate them).

Pale skined and black hair with brown eyes, you could easily pass for a portuguese girl. Most portuguese girs have looks like yours. Though most prefer to grow their hair longer.
Its only recommended to your health to eat one pastel de nata per month
You pronounced "Merçes" better than google (google - brazilian portuguese)

Actually the operating word is pastel. Pastel de nata means pastry of cream. We in portugal often short it to pastel when not bothering with the ful name, unless we are trying to differencuate it from other type of pasteis which those made of bacalhau are not pastries at all but salted eats we call salgados.
