Those strip and downtown characters are so uninteresting. They have chosen to hang out in some of the busiest tourist areas in the world. Then they try to enforce their rules of payment. In my opinion, people should be able to tip or not without the verbal barrage.
I really don’t mind tipping if I voluntarily ask them for videos. The aggressive grabbing was off put… thank you for the empathy 🥰

My sister stayed there for her vacation about a month ago. She enjoyed it. The room looks like a place where you can just rest your head down and relax after a long day on the strip. Although that dirty window would make me go crazy. Great review of the place. I'll be aware to not take the camera out when characters come up to me.
yes, it's a great budget hotel for location and when you're so tired, that window can't bother you 😅You can take pictures/video of anything. You're in a public place. Bill them for talking to you lol

Never knew that those costumed characters on the strip were that aggressive.. Normally they tell me upfront how much they want for a picture together and I always tell them no thanks! Did a picture with some costumed characters in times square who were very friendly...Batman, bane, and spider-man

Linq is our go to place during my fresh from the boat stage coz it's cheap lol. if u ain't drunk enough you won't be able to sleep because of the noise haha.good old days!nice vid keep it up ✌️💯

Stayed there when it was imperial palace in early 2000s.ok now haven't stayed at the linq but love the linq promanade whenever in las vegas

I heard about this hotel after I left Vegas. I stayed at The Strat last year. Would you say that this hotel is better or worse value than The Strat?
I made a video last year at the strat. It has to be renovated rooms to make your stay worth it here. Also, not loud in my room...It's hard to beat the location of Linq. I say... depending on your purpose for Vegas...

Those street performers are always getting in trouble. We had an Elvis performer come up to my wife one day who's a platinum blond and was wearing a short mini skirt came up to my wife and asked if he could take a picture with her not him but her i thought he was like trying to do a Marilyn Monroe thing since she looks like her then he said to me thats $40 i told him to back off or the wig was coming off and he shut right up. You were 100% right standing your ground good for you.

The woman at 9:19 was 100% spot on. That goes not just for Vegas, but for any city where there’s some type of street vendor looking for an easy target. Bourbon Street in NOLA is just like this with girls who force shots down your throat and then want $100.

They need to regulate those guys somehow. I live in LA and it’s the same thing on Hollywood Blvd. A $5 tip seems reasonable but it sounds like they’re hustling for $20 to $40. Imagine that x 25 pics a day tax free. They’re making more money than the average tourist visiting Las Vegas or LA.

I was genuinely confused why they were shirtless while I’m cold. That’s a hard job. Kudos to them for not trapping me unlike the bunch. They are a different breed of street entertainers in Vegas. Usually, they ask if you want to take picture & if u say no they leave you alone. These ones grabbed me which is actually invasive. I didn’t join to take a picture for sure 👌🏼

Word to the wise, never even make eye contact with those characters in the street because they will approach you and then demand money. I see it all the time walking around Times Square in NYC. When Spider Man started talking to you, just turn around, walk away and don't give him any attention. He'll just move on and scam the next person. I am very sorry that happened to you. Hope it doesn't happen again.

@babetravelling Yes in Times Square they are just like that. There is no law that actually requires you to pay them though they will get very aggressive. I've seen one of characters hold someone's phone captive until they were paid.

It's a queen size bed. 14:06, 1 thing I don't like about hotels is the fridge is too small, cannot fit 2 food inside. I wish the fridge is a little big to fit 2 food inside. Also, no bathtub, but that's okay. Rain shower is good. I wish all hotels have mini big fridge and bathtub. I am curious, what floor are you staying and do they provide silverware spoon and fork? In US and Canadian hotels, they don't provide silverware spoon and fork and I am disappointed because I don't want to eat by hand.

There is def team bathtub & team walk in shower… Good idea to run a poll next time 😀 no silverwares usually in hotels unless you order food from hotel 🏨

Those people make their money from people taking their image. You were videotaping them, and not paying. That's why Spiderman was mad at you. You were taking and later publishing their images and likeness without their permission nor compensation. And you are acting and editing that part of the video like you're the victim. I think those characters are a scam, but I also don't shove a camera in their faces.
