Good enjoyable channel, your enthusiasm is infectious.😀 Living so far from the sea we can only get for a couple of overnighters a year, so keep the videos coming. One tip to try when the Whiting are swallowing the hook right down, is to try a circle hook, they are barbless, never come out, are easy to remove, always lip hooked, just remember you don't have to strike just wind in. Take care.
That smallest one you caught we'd class as a big whiting here of piers or shore, they get them a bit bigger on the boats. Thanks for the video, take care, Norfolk Ray
Hi. Love the videos you 2 do on fishing and hiking. Could you let me know how you get to the fishing area ? and where do you park. I always thought it was fenced off. Thanks 👌
Hi, and thanks for watching. Park on the road that runs from the ferry landing (park about half way along to the boat club), there’s a walking path there, and a hole in the fence, jump through and walk over to the corner of the wasteland just to the right 👍
@@fishinghinny is it still alright to fish there now? I have had my eye on this spot for a long time but didn't know about the 'hole' and the signs put me off a bit. Has anyone got into trouble for fishing there? It's just wasteland, shame if nothings happening with it that walkway can't be opened up. Especially with both piers being closed!
Not a bad result at all, for a quick local trip; well done both of you. If you leave a spare flask of hot soapy water & an old towel in the van, you can pour it over each other's hands to save getting the van too smelly. I've never seen anyone else do this. Matbe you could troll off the back of the shields ferry?
Hi Dannielle, after watching your videos and many others I've decided to buy a Sonik Black and Battle 3 reel, the question is, what size Battle should I get to match the rod?
Getting homesick gished there thoussnds of times servef my te there as a plater 1970 1975 ised to catch nagguls of cod every cast in dinner hour preston sandancer 😂
BRILLIANT 👍

We get some proper chunky Whiting up here Ray, they can become a bit of a pest when trying to catch other types of fish 🐠

That’s a great idea Ashley, the van does get a bit stinky after fishing. I don’t think the trolling idea is such a good idea though 😆

I have the 7000, it’s a nice match to that rod. I like the Sonik Black it’s a great value for money rod

Yeh I can imaging there was a lot more fish around back then, not so many now 🫤
Hi, what rod and reel are you using there?
Hi David, Abu Garcia Specialist Bass 13’ and a Shimano Poweraero GT7000 loaded with 50lb braid. The rod is perfect for light / medium bait fishing
Loads of one eyed Whiting on the fylde coast this year love to know why😂 preston ssndancer
Yeh there’s tons been caught around here this year too, I don’t seem to remember as many last year 🤔
👌🤩👍
