One Man Gang won the Rumble in 87. But there was no fans to see it because it was test test see how it would go. The Rumble Match was Pat Pattersons idea. Vince wasn’t keen on it at first so he tested it out. He liked it and the rest was history. We all have Pat to thank for the RR
BTW the rock didn’t win the 2000 royal rumble he was suppose to eliminate big show but accidentally got eliminated first by his mistake so Big show and the rock had a match for the royal rumble victory which Big Show won because of Shane McMahon
