Hey my buddy you can get a magnetic box that sticks to you truck Incase you get locked out again just hide it . Or just carry ya key on a necklace inside your shirt.nothing worse then getting locked out especially when you are working lol
Hey there Paul. In about six years of driving a cab I've locked myself out of my cab three times. I finally got smart and had a spare key made and I keep it on my house keyring so I won't be locked out again. The weird thing is that ever since I had the spare key made I've never locked my cab key inside. By the way I think more people need to your interview with the G-man. I've noticed that more than a few people in your videos are putting non- recyclable materials in their recycling bins even when those bins show on top as to what's acceptable. As before it's always good to see you and, for an added bonus, the G-man. Stay safe and keep on scrappin.
As a old school scrapper we always kept a spare key in our wallet. At least a door key! Plus I had a spare Ignition key in a little magnet box that you can hide somewhere on the outside of the truck in case you lose those keys. 😉✌️
I can see that you really appreciate it when your fans are out there on the curb, waiting patiently for you to pick them up to take them for a spin in the big red truck. 🏃♂️💨
Another happy day with a S&PM video. Makes my day no matter what's going on. Thanks Paul!😇🌷 G-MAN is hilarious. Love that guy. He's a real great buddy of yours and a very nice man.

I found a strap like that one. The strap was nice but the ratchet part was all rusty. I soked it in C L R and it cleaned it up. Than I lubed it with trifles oil. That was 16 years ago and it still works great.

I know they are waiting for higher prices but unless they have other places to store the stuff I think they will have to get rid of some.Nice to have a handy girlfriend. @Scrap & Pallet Man The reason your Truck keeps locking on the drivers side is because, you have the key in the ignition and it will lock after a period of time as a safety feature. Fob key.
@@ScrapPalletMan It is done now and the road of learning to live without him begins. We held his services today. It really hit me today that he is never coming back even though I know he is waiting for me in heaven.

Hello My Good Big Bro Paul & God Bless You & All Of You're Whole Family & I Am Still Praying For You & All Of You're Whole Family This Evening Mr Paul Sir
Our van used to do that to. Lock itself. So we always left a window open enough to get in and hit the button to unlock it if we were stopped for something, or warming up the car in the winter.
Don't feel bad about locking your keys in the car Paul, Happens to all of us. On another note, slot of newer cars have an auto lock feature, sometimes it can be disabled. In another note can you say " you go now " when unloading. I find it halarious 😂
My husband scraps to and when he stops to pick something up he always rolls his window down so if he were to hit the lock button he won't be locked out
Yes I understand if it ain't power windows but it's only so long that will last. Considering how much you get out of the truck on hot day.nice to have peace of mind knowing you have a key.
I have a hidden key to get in ...I have locked my keys in the truck twice and got in right away.. I had to call my wife once and I made the hidden key since then..
I feel your pain about the locking system on your pickup. We had issues with the aftermarket key fob on our '08 Explorer. It would pop the rear hatch glass just because, and if I didn't catch it no telling what would walk away. Only solution was to not keep the fob on the ring, and keep it away from the Explorer. Kinda wish you would put a hoist and cable system on your truck instead of the liftgate, but it's not my truck so, respect.

When you hit the lock button on a newer GM vehicle with the door open it beeps to let you know that you pressed the button and gives a few seconds delay before it actually locks. If it was on accident, it would give you a few seconds to reopen and unlock. I don't know if all the GMs are like that, but I know my Buick does it. If you hear the ding, make sure you have the keys. lol
I always carry two sets of keys with me. It's a little bit of a pain to have a second set in your pocket, but, never locked out. Alternately, don't need the full fob key, a standard key takes up less room, but it won't start anything, just open.
ROFL, the G-man is so funny…and correct. These trucks are smarter than us. 🤣🤣 Maybe those old cars were for a movie, because they were all from the 70s…just a thought. Blessings & prayers for your day.

Our car doors automatically unlock when you put it in park, but ours will time out after so long and relock. Will do the same when we unlock the car to get in. If we don't go directly to the car, again it will relock after a short time. Good luck with the truck. I have to say i love your videos. Locked door must have something to do with red trucks. I had red Ram about a 1988 I think, which used to lock all the time. I was paranoid about getting out and leaving it running, so almost always I'd make sure the driver's window was down. I started leaving a key in one of those magnetic things to get back in. Dang, those red trucks should be avoided!

If you have the owners manual check it out…with the key in the ignition fully seated as if you are going to start the vehicle and hit the electric lock switch it will lock the doors and automatically unlock the drivers door only, the beeps you hear after you shut the door was a reminder you left the keys in the ignition and the drivers door only is not locked. With keys in your hand and you leave your vehicle and hit the electric switch one time to lock the doors it will give you a five second entry delay, say if you have a crew cab four door model, you hit the switch and close your drivers door, reach out and open the rear door before the five seconds and the doors will not lock until all doors are shut and once again you have a five second delay after all doors are closed, and you hear the beeps. To eliminate the horn beeps press the lock button twice and the locks lock…no horn beeps. Yeah I like saving to buy things too, I'm saving for a newer truck myself. I'll probably still need to do some credit but want to pay a good chunk off upfront. Just trying to find a good truck with what I want is hard right now, in the used market at least but gives me time to save more.
