What an amazing curator, great to listen to, and learn from. Thank you for stretching my understanding of this great sculpture.
I think that, for such a small time frame, the amount of information is quite good, especially when considering the slow and careful pace of delivery. However, I think that some very important aspects of Rodin's work weren't properly illuminated: Yes, he did recycle his work, sometimes even in fragments, but these fragments became artworks of their own, as with 'Cathedral'. He ended up presenting "incomplete" human figures as complete artworks (male torso), because it was his goal to create as much meaning as he could with as few elements as possible. See 'Thought'. He also considered the nature of the medium: You can still see how he worked with clay in his bronze casts, even though he definitely knew how to create a perfect cast-like copy of reality, and any 'unimportant' parts of his marble sculptures were left almost completely unworked, see 'Danaide', creating a beautiful contrast.
This is a parallel to Picasso, who also knew how to paint "properly" and chose not to. Rodin said he produced art for his own pleasure, that he let his clay sculpture be "sketchy" because it resembled impressionism in painting (see 'Balzac'). But it goes deeper. He deliberately abstracted his work, removed first the nude from its context, then the limbs from the nude, creating a whole new conceptual level of meaning. Auguste Rodin was one of the big milestones on our way to modern art.

? He pronounces it correctly. Perhaps it is you that is in error.
He really doesn't. I study Rodin as well, in Germany, and we have a requirement for perfect pronunciation. He butchers ALL of the French names.
