Male artists, also do not credit the creative inspiration they got from the female artists in their lives, almost stealing their style at times. (eg. Pablo Picasso and Francois Gilot, Rodin and Camille Claudelle). It may very well be that the women were better artists, but the men got better PR.

Yes, true and Lee Krasner came up with drip painting first but Pollock took all the credit for it.

Thank you so much for uploading this video and sharing with with the world, what a gem! And thank you for bringing up female artists, and also pointing out that they were in fact struggling a lot with recognition and getting access to education.

The captions to this lecture really are a joke. At one point it appeared that "Tooting" was suddenly featured. Tooting, in South London? Whatever next? Balham perhaps. Or Mitcham. This is the problem with a caption system attempting to follow the speaker phonetically as the speech is made. Couldn't they have waited until the lecturer had finished and then dubbed a more accurate version? I call this progress without purpose. This is the trouble with modern technology. It is instant. It lacks depth. It cuts corners. It fails to take a moment to proof-check the contents.

The captions are absolutely fine, if you can not make up the lacking pieces yourself I think it’s more about your brain than the video itself ❤️

Thanks for this excellent tour of the artist's work ! On a constructive note, please look into how to pronounce correctly the artist's name. It is Münter, and the ''ü'' , ie ''u'' with umlaut should be pronounced differently.
