I clicked on this video for Zoella but TomSka's raw honesty and insight into his youtube life really made this documentary for me. I've watched his videos but never thought about the man behind the animations and comedy sketches. He's such a strong individual and I really have the deepest respect for him.

I teared up a bit especially when Zoe mentioned how she's like a big sister and she really is like that to me because I have anxiety and panic attacks like her and when she talks about it and gives advice on it, that's when I love her the most I think. I love the beauty and fashion videos but when she talks about things like that is when it really helps me.

I was not anticipating that I would cry. I am so proud of these and all the other TH-camrs I watch. I feel like they have been with me through everything, the good, the bad, and the ugly times. I can always turn on a video and not feel alone. As they say "just press play and the pain goes away." It was great to see this side of three different TH-camrs I love.
I went to Soccer Six today, and Tomska said here "They earn a lot more money than me" but to be honest the appreciation and respect that TH-camrs get who are genuine and you can tell love making videos is incredible! It convinces others to be the same and to actually realise how lucky they are to be in a position where they are 'popular' lets say, for doing something they love. I've never really taken much notice of Tomska's videos as I am into things like vlogging! But I'm going to head on over to his channel now and subscribe because he honestly seems so genuine and inspirational! The raw honesty of this video was phenomenal! I feel like the TH-camrs you picked gave a vast sense of spectrum of success and points of view. I am a huge fan of both Zoella and Niki'n'Sammy but Tom's views and experience in watching such an amazing thing grow are things I fully respect! Great documentary!!! It was truly a great testimony to each channel and their personalities.
I remember when Niki and Sammy had less subscribers than me, and we would comment on each other's videos. Now, it is unbelievable how far they've come, because they were committed. And Zoe was the youtuber that made me want to try and film videos. These people truly inspire me!

Is it bad that all I'm thinking while watching this is "Tomska's the only one really deserving the fame (and more than he has now) and the others would be fun for a few videos but..." I know it's a bad thought and that millions of people enjoy those others but TomSka just puts so much work in the things he makes and it's hilarious and different each time.

I feel bad for other TH-camrs who have been in TH-cam for ages and ages and still are not that stable enough to make a living yet seeing Zoe just come along and gain 7 million in a few years for her looks and relateable girly videos that don't even take that long to film, edit and upload.
TH-camrs are naturally so inspiring! As we hear their stories and what we've been through, we realize that we arent really alone and that someone has been through all the hard times but with time we learn to fight it and that is what i love about TH-cam. Thats what we all love about TH-cam. And oh, the entertainment too!

Because writing her own book was a dream of hers since she was young, in one of her vlogs she showed the book she created herself when she was about 12. If you had the chance to do something you've always wanted to do would you not take it? I'm sure she was well aware that releasing a book would increase her already growing audience which probably scared her half to death yet she still did it.

As creators too in a smaller scale we've been documenting our whole relationship for 3years and this year we're getting married! Hang on, you're telling me they were in Brighton and they didn't interview PewDiePie?? I mean, like him or hate him, the guy is the most subscribed person on TH-cam, it doesn't make sense not to talk to him.
It's possible they asked him and he turned it down. They don't just demand interviews and they can't just put anyone and everyone in their documentary, it's not legal(going from US standpoint, and I'm pretty sure it's the same in the UK). They have to have permission to use the videos they used, and they have to ask the people they are making the documentary about if they want to be involved. More than likely they did ask Felix for an interview or to be in the documentary, and he turned them down.

I actually feel really sorry for Zoe. I've been wanting to make vlogs and general videos for about 4 years on and off, had about 10 different channels but never put my face in front of the camera. It's reassuring seeing that even the biggest youtubers have insecurities and even little things like tomska was saying at the end really hit home. I've never felt more motivated to make a video.
This is amazing, a huge well done to Nanette and everyone involved. I started reading Zoella's blog when she first started it and I was thrilled when she began making videos, it's been crazy and wonderful to see her grow and help so many people all over the world - a truly brave and beautiful woman who deserves every good thing that life has to offer! This was really fascinating. It makes you wonder where TH-cam will go in the future as well and if there is room for "new talent" or has that ship already sailed? There are so many channels to choose from if you are new it's difficult to be heard above the rest. I really enjoyed this though.
I would love to meet Tom, he's practically shaped my life, I found ska music through him, I met my (now ex) girlfriend through a common love of him, he inspired me to play bass guitar and he's inspired me to try youtube myself. So if he was to see this. Thank you TomSka!

That old lipsticks video was one of the first Zoella videos I ever watched and when I found it she had just recently put it up. Here we are years later and I'm still watching her videos.
This leaves me with no words to express how happy and proud I feel of them as TH-camrs and also of being part of this amazing community. Seeing how this platform is growing bigger and going places that we never even imagined it could reach, it only fills me with inspiration and pride. I started being part of this community as a viewer when I was only 14 because it took my mind off of things and it became part of my life. Now, I am also being a part of this community as a creator myself, and even though I am just a baby beside these amazing and inspirational people, I love what I do because not only do I get to have fun with it, but I also know I am able to make a few people smile and forget about the bad things for a little while with a little video that I upload to my channel, just like these amazing people did for me when I had nowhere else to go to. As both a creator and a fan of other creators I really love this documentary. I'm not making my videos with the intention of fame (because lets be real, its well near impossible nowadays) but i just love that i find so much joy and passion from making videos and that there are people that enjoy what i make, whether that be 10 people or 10,000 people.

I really liked this documentary, it kinda makes me want to talk about my struggles. Be honest and open just like Tom was. I've had a lot on my shoulders more than anyone should have to deal with and I find TH-cam a way to focus on something else and take my mind of reality to a degree. I thank these youtubers who don't even know but help me through some tough times, watching them is not just for advice or tips but to hear a friendly voice and know that if you work hard you will achieve anything. I think this is one of the most insightful explorations of TH-cam culture I've seen. I'm hardly on the scale of any of the featured creators here but its crazy think I'm adding to this phenomenon in my own way, regardless of how big my channel is, and I'm feeling super proud of this community. I dont understand how someone could say that Zoella beat J K Rowling. Both of them were in complete diffrent situations when they published their book. J K Rowling wasnt famous at all and hardly had any money. But Zoella has been famous when she published her book and thats the reason why she was able to sell so many copies. Furthermore J K Rowling has puplished 7 books while Zoella has puplished 1 book. See the diffrent? In my opinion J K Rowling were much more succesfull than Zoella when she puplished her first book... Why should anyone buy a book by a author they dont know? The books costed between 10 and 20 Pounds so why should someone spend 140 Pounds on 7 Books because they like the Author? They bought the books because they were magical, funny, really well written and just wonderful. Furthermore is Harry Potter the only Fandom with the most successful franchise, 7 computer games, 1 role play, 3 extra movies, 3 extra books, making of park ( don't know what its called), and a interactive homepage (pottermore). And what does Zoella have? A TH-cam channel and a book? Wow big deal! Don't get me wrong I can understand why Zoella is so famous but I can't understand how someone can come up with the Idea to compare Harry Potter with Zoella.

I didn't think I would but I thoroughly enjoyed this! It's been awhile since I was able to watch a 30 minute video in one sitting. Of course we're all going to be a little upset our favorite youtuber didn't make it in, but they can't fit everyone in there can they. I love the variety that you guys went with. Thanks for this :)

Zoella really deserves what she has!
As creators too in a smaller scale we've been documenting our whole relationship for 3years and this year we're getting married! To have our journey documented is a unique gift, And for that TH-cam I thank you. This is a great insight into what TH-cam means to the creators. Big or small the love for TH-cam is the same! :)
Hang on, you're telling me they were in Brighton and they didn't interview PewDiePie?? I mean, like him or hate him, the guy is the most subscribed person on TH-cam, it doesn't make sense not to talk to him.
It's possible they asked him and he turned it down. They don't just demand interviews and they can't just put anyone and everyone in their documentary, it's not legal(going from US standpoint, and I'm pretty sure it's the same in the UK). They have to have permission to use the videos they used, and they have to ask the people they are making the documentary about if they want to be involved. More than likely they did ask Felix for an interview or to be in the documentary, and he turned them down.
He probably wasn't up for it, I never see him on TV or any form of adverts. He seems quite opposed to these types of things.

I actually feel really sorry for Zoe. I know people have the right intentions to wait outside her door and push letters through but I would be so creeped out and I don't think it would help her anxiety. I love how far she has come though. It actually made me tear up, I've been here since 150,000 subscribers Zoe. 😊
I've been wanting to make vlogs and general videos for about 4 years on and off, had about 10 different channels but never put my face in front of the camera. It's reassuring seeing that even the biggest youtubers have insecurities and even little things like tomska was saying at the end really hit home. I've never felt more motivated to make a video.

This is amazing, a huge well done to Nanette and everyone involved. I started reading Zoella's blog when she first started it and I was thrilled when she began making videos, it's been crazy and wonderful to see her grow and help so many people all over the world - a truly brave and beautiful woman who deserves every good thing that life has to offer! Now about to go and check out some of the other TH-camrs featured in this documentary film :)

This was really fascinating. It makes you wonder where TH-cam will go in the future as well and if there is room for "new talent" or has that ship already sailed? There are so many channels to choose from if you are new it's difficult to be heard above the rest. I really enjoyed this though.
I would love to meet Tom, he's practically shaped my life, I found ska music through him, I met my (now ex) girlfriend through a common love of him, he inspired me to play bass guitar and he's inspired me to try youtube myself. So if he was to see this.

This leaves me with no words to express how happy and proud I feel of them as TH-camrs and also of being part of this amazing community. Seeing how this platform is growing bigger and going places that we never even imagined it could reach, it only fills me with inspiration and pride. I started being part of this community as a viewer when I was only 14 because it took my mind off of things and it became part of my life. Now, I am also being a part of this community as a creator myself, and even though I am just a baby beside these amazing and inspirational people, I love what I do because not only do I get to have fun with it, but I also know I am able to make a few people smile and forget about the bad things for a little while with a little video that I upload to my channel, just like these amazing people did for me when I had nowhere else to go to. As both a creator and a fan of other creators I really love this documentary. I'm not making my videos with the intention of fame (because lets be real, its well near impossible nowadays) but i just love that i find so much joy and passion from making videos and that there are people that enjoy what i make, whether that be 10 people or 10,000 people.
I love this as it shows everything from a totally different perspective x

I really liked this documentary, it kinda makes me want to talk about my struggles. Be honest and open just like Tom was. I've had a lot on my shoulders more than anyone should have to deal with and I find TH-cam a way to focus on something else and take my mind of reality to a degree. I thank these youtubers who don't even know but help me through some tough times, watching them is not just for advice or tips but to hear a friendly voice and know that if you work hard you will achieve anything. Thank you and this was inspiring. xx

I think this is one of the most insightful explorations of TH-cam culture I've seen. I'm hardly on the scale of any of the featured creators here but its crazy think I'm adding to this phenomenon in my own way, regardless of how big my channel is, and I'm feeling super proud of this community. Amazing stuff!
I dont understand how someone could say that Zoella beat J K Rowling. Both of them were in complete diffrent situations when they published their book. J K Rowling wasnt famous at all and hardly had any money. But Zoella has been famous when she published her book and thats the reason why she was able to sell so many copies. Furthermore J K Rowling has puplished 7 books while Zoella has puplished 1 book. See the diffrent? In my opinion J K Rowling were much more succesfull than Zoella when she puplished her first book... Sorry for grammar mistakes or spelling mistakes... I am from germany

Fans who buy zoellas books buy them because they love zoella people who bought J K Rowlings Books bought them because of the Story and not because of the auther behind it
Why should anyone buy a book by a author they dont know? The books costed between 10 and 20 Pounds so why should someone spend 140 Pounds on 7 Books because they like the Author? They bought the books because they were magical, funny, really well written and just wonderful. Furthermore is Harry Potter the only Fandom with the most successful franchise, 7 computer games, 1 role play, 3 extra movies, 3 extra books, making of park ( don't know what its called), and a interactive homepage (pottermore). And what does Zoella have? A TH-cam channel and a book? Wow big deal! Don't get me wrong I can understand why Zoella is so famous but I can't understand how someone can come up with the Idea to compare Harry Potter with Zoella.

This is an amazing docu! I absolutely love it! Every single person is talking from the heart and very personal about how they experience what the experience as a youtube vlogger. TH-cam is an amzing platform and I am getting more and more positive that I want to be a part of it

I love how Zoe didn't once speak about how much shes making or oh 'someone else makes more money than me'. So genuine, and she genuinely cares about her subscribers and staying true to herself. God I love that girl.
