      I agree. I have beyer dt770 250 ohm, dt880 600 ohm, and tygr300r. The tygr300r’s treble is less fatiguing and pin point accurate. The tygr300r also had a bit more bass presence than the dt880. I like to switch it up with the dt880 being more analytical and the tygr300r more fun. I use my 600 ohm dt880’s on my dark voice tube amp.

    I'm soo curious : Why do we control preamp settings when modifing EQ settings via APO? Since I am so noob to audio things so don't understand much about preamplifying, but I've heard that lowering digital volume may cause some signal loss so using analog volume dial is necessary. So I feel kind of bad when lowering preamp to -5db while adjusting EQ setting of my Tygr 300r, like shown on your webpage. So I really want to know the reason why we have to lower our preamp value when adjusting EQ settings... Why can't we just lower our analog volume dial down? Is preamp effects our tonal balance or something? I'm soooo curious about it TvT Please help(Sorry for bad English)

    Just a few questions, so it doesn’t seem much like its a noise canceling headphone which is fine, i own a pair of hyperx cloud revolver s and it comes with an extended cord with a mute switch and volume dial on the opposite end where you put the 3mm jack into its like a rectangle piece, it didn’t do anything special but give length,volume,mute switch. Is there anything i could buy to use with my pair of tygr 300 r’s to its full extent or anything of that sort? I play a lot of warzone and cod games in general, hearing footsteps etc is important to me. It doesn’t have to be an extension cable just some device i plug them into along with my motherboard?

    TYGR 300 R + mic or Epos Game One for gaming?

  • @LaurusHG
    @LaurusHG 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So, I'm a bit stuck. I'm in the market for a new set of headphones after my DT 990 pros packed in, they will primarily be used for music and casual gaming in that order. I liked the 990s but the treble was a bit fatiguing so I needed to EQ them. I'm currently sitting here with the TYGR 300rs on and I like them, but I'm not sure if I prefer them to the 990 pros and to be honest I was wondering if there was anything else in the price bracket you'd recommend? I don't like the 560s, the clamp force was far too tight, the sound was too clinical and 'boring' for me too. The HD 599s sounded almost muddy coming off the highly detailed 990 pros, to give some context as to what I've already tried. Thanks!

      I've never heard anyone say the 990 pros were good for music. They had them at a small music store by me so and they let you test display models. Harsh AF. You must be older. I would try the k371 or m40x for under $175. Btw I hate too much bass too. I like bright just not 990 pro bright

      @@jcap8391 Oh lol I couldn't remember what the video was about honestly, just came back to respond to your comment.
      The 900 pro X's aren't "veiled" so much as the 990s are so bright they make it seem as though they are very detailed. The Tygrs have a far larger soundstage than either though.
      The 900s are in my opinion more detailed than the 990s. I've compared the 990s, Tygrs, 880s, HD 560s, HD 599s and the 900s, the 880s are the most neutral, the 990s are the brightest, the Tygrs have the largest sound stage and the 900s are the most detailed. Of the Sennheiser options the 560s are very sterile and boring, the 599s are very bass heavy and a bit muddy, still fun though.

    I bought the Beyer DT 990 Pros 80 ohm version and planned on just plugging them into my motherboard and playing video games and streaming videos and content. However, I found that some lower sounds, like footsteps, were much harder to pickup and recognize (def not good for gaming) and louder sounds like gunshots and headshot recognitions were piercing in my ears and borderline painful. so I guess I am refunding the 990 pros and picking up these TYGR 300 Rs? I def want something more gaming centered and that doesnt pierce my ears. Is this the right choice?

    • @blank-jo1xp
      @blank-jo1xp ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That piercing quality is a result of the boosted treble on the 990's. The TYGR also has a boosted treble response, but it's not as crazy as the 990's. Definitely going to be more comfortable to use. You could also try the PC38x, which has a much smoother treble presentation compared to both of those units.

      I don't care what anyone says none of the Beyerdynamic headphones are good or better than stuff like PC 38x or something like a Corsair hs80 or any of the Razer headsets. Those boost areas where you can hear footsteps better and take less to power. They also boost volume but sacrifice some things like high frequency details and can make tops and at times mids muddy. You will have to spend over $700 imo to get a good overall. I've tried about 28 headphones and headsets. I'm not an expert but I know a bit from my experience with all 28. Most of them were kept and sold after months at a loss of money. I always gave them a chance even if I found major flaws right away

    I had this headphones. I bought them out of curiosity. I wanted to find out why there is fuss around them in community. Also I bought them becouse I was waiting for another pair of beyers to be repaired. I thought I can sell them after a while. But I kept them - they have interesting sound. Lately I thought I will sell them becouse I agree with Andrew this is not good sounding pair for music in stock form. But I started to to test my ideas about equalization on them. Wow this was unexpected. They turned into the one of the best sounding headphones for me. Yes, they are warm but in very natural way and they kept the clarity. The sound can be easly adjusted to more specific effects but I seatled on the middle ground of maximum satisfaction from the music. It's impossible to describe how good they are now, and many will disbelieve until they hear that sound. I am wondering am I share my method with others or if I keep it to myself as little secret. :)

      @Siberius- 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dunno if he's quite saying that they're not good for music in stock form, just that adjustments can be made to suit his individual taste better (and reflect more of what he thinks makes sense). But then there's other youtube reviewers who don't seem to feel the need per se, like DMS, Z Reviews, etc.

    560s vs TYGR300r??

  • @r00s.
    @r00s. 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    From the Beyer site: "How does the TYGR 300 R differ from the DT 880 PRO and DT 990 PRO?
    The DT 880 PRO has a very linear frequency response, while the DT 990 PRO has a slightly more accentuated bass and accordingly more present trebles for a pleasant balance. Both are primarily designed for studio applications. The TYGR 300 R focuses on gaming and is based on the frequency response of the DT 990 PRO. A powerful bass and detailed accentuated treble go very well with gaming. However, the sound design of the DT 990 PRO has been further optimized for gaming, sometimes through the use of a special acoustic fleece."

    • @r00s.
      @r00s. 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What is the difference between TYGR 300 R and MMX 300?
      The MMX 300 and the TYGR 300 R both have a system with 32 ohms impedance. However, the TYGR 300 R has an open design which results in a better three-dimensionality of sound and a higher wearing comfort due to less heat generation. The slightly lower contact pressure also contributes to a more comfortable fit. In terms of material quality, both are on a par. The TYGR 300 R, however, uses a specially developed acoustic fleece, which provides better sound reproduction in the treble compared to the MMX 300. In general, if ambient noise is not a problem and you don't necessarily want a headset, we would recommend TEAM TYGR for optimal sound reproduction and recording.

    I agree so much with this, especially the comparison with the 900 Pro X which is just dull despite its better tuning (not as dull as the 700 pro x tho, jeeeesh). I like the 300R a lot for immersive gaming its a great all round "gaming" headphone, although K712 might be a better choice in many ways. 300R also didn't dethrone the 1990 for R6 Siege. I kinda feel like from a purely gaming perspective the 990 is perhaps a better choice cos its is a bit cheaper (assuming you already have an amp of course) and more available and the low mids are a bit subjectively better. However, the 560S is a superb allrounder for music and gaming that is hard to beat and frankly would be my pick over the 300R on sound and its comfortable enough for long gaming sessions. Having said that the comfort is amazing on the 300R, most comfortable headphone in my collection and lets be honest if youre gonna be gaming for long multi hour sessions, thats a huge benefit.

      @@ResolveReviews Graph wise it doesn't look like there's much between the TYGR and the 990 in terms of treble volume. I would guess that mid-bass bloom is masking the treble a bit on the 300R coupled with the front damping its a more "fun" listen than the 990 rather than being a bit strident. Pad wear on Beyers kinda lends some truth to the old "burn-in" meme lol

    ...I have both the Tygr and the 560s, and I have some treble sensitivity. I find the 560s's treble to be noticeably less tolerable than the Tygr's, which also seems more detailed and has better soundstage and crazy better imaging. I'm running them on a version one Zen dac and a middling Chromebook. When I'm listening to things like contemporary concert music, where there's often all sorts of complex sounds happening across a wide stage, the Tygrs seem far superior. To really get all the information AND even more tolerable treble, I will have to come up with more bucks, I suspect. Several times more...

    • @ResolveReviews
      @ResolveReviews 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah I can see good reasons to go with the TYGR tbh. Those who are sensitive to that 4-6khz spiciness of the HD 560 S won't have as much issue with the TYGR, only because the rest of those treble peaks on the TYGR balance it out a bit better. I just think the 560 S would be better for those who prefer a more neutral or linear kind of bass/mids.
