The Palace of Westminster touris one of the best activities I’ve done in London. It’s pretty amazing that they take you into both the House of Commons and House of Lords chambers. The US Capitol tour pales in comparison.
Awesome video. Glad you enjoyed the tour. Just as an aside, it really riles up UK citizens when you call her "The Queen of England", she's "The Queen of the United Kingdom".
Yes, my understanding is that most Americans (including myself) and some Europeans refer to her as the "Queen of England," which is not her official title. Thanks for the correction.
@@AndysAwesomeAdventures Yeh it's fine to say it, just riles us up :P I've lived in London for years, but haven't yet been for a tour yet. Hopefully it'll open up soon. Keep the great videos coming! :D
You're welcome. It's been a few years so I'm not sure, but it was probably the official tour. I do take a lot of Viator tours so if you find one thats 4.5 or 5 stars with the Badge of Excellence, I'm sure it will be a great tour.
I don't think they are presently conducting tours due to Covid so it could be a long time before they resume in-person tours. Yes, I believe it's only on Saturdays because the Houses are not in session. You can go to parliament.uk for more information. You have to purchase your tickets online in advance when they do resume tours.
@@AndysAwesomeAdventures Thank you, that was very kind of you to respond. I plan for a London visit, but I don't know when I can/will go. I think I share your enthusiasm for tours and getting a bit deeper in history and sights! Would love to hear your top tours for London besides the Palace of Westminster.
Hi Henrik-glad to see that you enjoy tours and history as much as me! I'm hoping that things get back to some type of normal by the end of the summer, now that vaccinations are starting around the world. Here's a link to my London playlist (th-cam.com/video/_Fm4fBW9qUs/w-d-xo.html). I'd recommend the following guided London tours: Beatles, Jack the Ripper, Kensington Palace, Tower Bridge, Tower of London and a day trip tour to Stonehenge, Oxford, and Windsor Castle. I'd also recommend self-guided tours if guided tours are not available at Westminster Abbey and St. Paul's Cathedral.
@@henrik8812 Hi, hope you get to come to the UK soon. I loved Denmark 🇩🇰 when I went there. I would suggest visiting some of the museums. Some of which are free as well. Natural History, Science, Victoria & Albert, British Museum are all really good. Art Galleries such as Tate, Tate Modern, National Portrait Gallery. Oh and another good one is the Imperial War Museum. All located in central London. London is great, but to any overseas visitors to see the real UK you also need to get out of London. As Andy suggest Windsor Castle, which is in the same town as the UK version of Lego Land, but you might prefer your original One in 🇩🇰!

Just found your video, so thanks! Did you just do the official tour or did you use viatour or another operator?
