It is most appropriate that these two are singing the hymns of Adi Shankaracharya , in Madhya Pradesh. Way back in his time, the student Adi Shankara first met his guru Gowdapaada Acharya, on the banks of the Narmada river. After completion of his studies he was instructed by his teacher, to seek Vaada Bhiksha (for philosophical debates it is necessary to seek the bhiksha from learned scholars). He was eventually able to have the major debate with the venerable Mandana Mishra and by defeating him, Adi Shankara rose to become the Archarya who started the four Mathas (Sringeri, Puri Jagannath, Dwarka, and Badrinath). Madhya Pradesh, therefore is the beginning of the great scholar's rise who restored Santana Dharma by taking the Jnyana marga.

Gracious children. Thought of to name my daughter as "Soorya Gayatri" but couldn't. For the last three years started days with these children's devotional songs.
Excellent initiative. Wonderful rendition by both Sooryagayatri and Rahul. Pranams to their Gurus and to the Jagadguru Shri Adishankaraacharya for the wonderful verses which still is the gem of our Sanskriti!
I am delighted to get a chance to listen to these little darlings of all music lovers. Kuldip Pai has done the cutting of these diamonds and a lot of credit to him for finding and shaping these little masters. Rahul is at a stage where his voice is breaking to settle down to an adult voice and he is on the right course. With maturity he will become a maestro. Suryagayatri is as always charming and is blossoming into a class of her own. I was hearing them after a gap and am thrilled. I am particularly happy that MP Govt has taken the right step in celebrating Shri Sankara Jayanti - Shri Sankara, though born in Kerala, is a national treasure and belongs to the entire country, nay the Universe. It was good to see the Hon'ble Governor and the Chief Minister, Shri Shivraj Chauhan sitting through the function and enjoying the music.

It is most appropriate that these two are singing the hymns of Adi Shankaracharya , in Madhya Pradesh. Way back in his time, the student Adi Shankara first met his guru Gowdapaada Acharya, on the banks of the Narmada river. After completion of his studies he was instructed by his teacher, to seek Vaada Bhiksha (for philosophical debates it is necessary to seek the bhiksha from learned scholars). He was eventually able to have the major debate with the venerable Mandana Mishra and by defeating him, Adi Shankara rose to become the Archarya who started the four Mathas (Sringeri, Puri Jagannath, Dwarka, and Badrinath). Madhya Pradesh, therefore is the beginning of the great scholar's rise who restored Santana Dharma by taking the Jnyana marga.

Gracious children. Thought of to name my daughter as "Soorya Gayatri" but couldn't. For the last three years started days with these children's devotional songs.
Excellent initiative. Wonderful rendition by both Sooryagayatri and Rahul. Pranams to their Gurus and to the Jagadguru Shri Adishankaraacharya for the wonderful verses which still is the gem of our Sanskriti!
Look at their confidence... They are already masters in carnatic music. I would pay money and watch their concerts ...
