I swear, the amount of time i threw the stratagem as far away from my team as possible, only to then one or two people suddenly sprint across the map to dive right in the middle of the bombardment is astounding.
The lore is actually funny. Essentially; Humans explored space. Found bugs. Realize bugs have good oil. Move all bugs to specific planets. Now the bugs are breaking out. The Helldivers are, for all intents and purposes; Zookeepers. Their job is to stop the bugs from escaping their enclosures.
😂 why does that sound so familiar. Make up something invade and get oil 😒. Get attacked say in invasion by aliens and attack them back and get more resources. This game makes real good sense of our worlds no 1 power.
Then there's the illuminates where humanity got their ftl technology from by justifying a war against them because they have better tech than us and that they have wmd's despite showing peaceful intent and so we wiped them out in the first game and there's speculation that they will be coming back in this game with a vengeance.
About the mechs. We were given a major order to defend a specific planet fromcthe automatons. So many people jumped on that planet we had it liberated in a DAY. Devs were expecting us to take at least 4 days if not the full week to liberate that planet (the moment it was liberated we could unlock the mech in the stratagem shop for 20k requisition, locked behind being level 25; and for a few days we had free access to mechs on all missions as a free additional statagem not taking up the usual 4 slots we can pick out before a mission)
it’s completely arbitrary how fast we liberate anything the gm can just change the regeneration rates however he feels like making our efforts feel pointless for many parts of the game because they litteraly are
At 38:00. Arrowhead isn't owned by Sony, and so they have no say in what Arrowhead does. They are also a 100-person studio, and its impressive at what they have accomplished.
@@goldenindustries They do own the IP. Sony are the copyright owners for the game. Take a look at the whitetext of the release trailer. "Helldivers is a registered trademark of Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC". Sony own the IP and make the final decisions. Arrowhead merely develop the game. The same applied to Helldivers 1.
The speech was from Total War Warhammer. It's the opening speech for Gelt's personal mission battle (Empire wizard legendary lord). It's become a "I love the smell of napalm in the morning" style meme. To the point of joke vids showing Dwarf gyrocopters with Gelt wearing shades. "Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen..."
Malevelon Creek was the primary bot combat zone for the 1st week of launch until the community wide 'objective' (called major orders) pushed us from focusing the bugs to focusing the bots as planetary defense missions became available in an attempt to hold planets against invasion forces (sadly we lost several planets because higher difficulty 'essential personnel extraction' missions became too heavily flooded with heavy armor mobs with rockets and other 1 shot weaponry and people want to focus higher difficulties for the rarer samples. Not exactly easy to win when you can only call in anti-tank gear every 2 min or so per person and you get swarmed with enemies needing that gear more frequently than that. They recently dropped a patch limiting heavy armor mobs from spawning too frequently for the bugs (chargers and bile titans) but have yet to do the same for the bots (hulks and tanks)
According to the Helldivers 2 lore, during the first galactic war, the federation of Super Earth discovered a material known as Element 710. This stuff is critical to the Federation of Super Earth's Faster-Than-Light capabilities and can ONLY be found in the bodies of the terminids. Because of this, the federation actively devotes its time to orchestrating a war between the federation and the bugs. At least, that's what I would say if I was a dirty bug-sympathizer. For Super Earth!
Mortar Sentry targets enemies at seemingly random, regardless if allies are beside the targeted enemy resulting in team-killing en mass (like a real lot when the bugs are all melee enemies so always closing in to cause friendly fire). It's basically a things that any sentry has no safety regarding allies in the targeted area whatsoever. Sentries basically kill helldivers as often as the bots and bugs do. Same thing with the hovering roombas with guns. For context, Malevolon Creek is one planet that was available to fight bots at the game release, however due to the major orders reward being about fighting the bugs instead and the bot being much harder to fight initially, few outside of a bunch of super stubborn people fought the equivalent of Space Vietnam when the majority of the player base was elsewhere, game/server being at the most unstable. And they got their shit kicked. Some Malevolon Creek Veteran made incredible video narrative on reddit and in the discord that it became a propagandized goal of the community despite not being a direct goal with rewards. Also Fun fact: as of the moment I have written this comments a few things changes with current patches. 1 - Armor rating was "fixed", so it went from not existing to having the effect of a paper sticker saying "Armor"... 2 - The Breaker automatic shotgun has been nerfed a bit, having less ammo per magazine (not nerfed into the ground, but still less good than before).
as General brash informs: skill issue. don't be where the sentry aims, soldier. the armor makes a subtle difference due to the amount of anti armor weapons, but against the bugs you'll be glad to bring a heavy suit, when the bile spewers show up, you'll get the half second you need to dive away.
@@DostoronIn my honest opinion of someone playing the game a lot. Even with light armor I get that half a second of getting spewed on by a Bile Spewer that is needed to dodge away, and with heavy the time you live while getting spewed on seems to be the same. I did not notice any difference. Though that might be a luck thing because headshots ignore seems to ignore the armor rating thing regardless if you wear light, medium or heavy... and the bile spewer attack is so large that it does end up being a headshot hence why it kills so fast. Where the armor rating do help is with other attacks that don't reach the head hitbox. When compared with a small scavenger the damage is usually halved (comparing light armor with heaviest), but even they often end up hitting head hitbox anyway from time to time. So in the end almost all enemies can and will headshot because the hitbox on headshoting a helldiver is extremely generous leading to some improbable headshots happening frequently with lots of small hit bypassing the added armor rating anyway. If you want an armor comparison you can watch a video comparing the armor rating after patch, and seeing a tiny scavenger bug still able to hit the head of a standing helldivers despite the height difference do show how much of the damage you get won't even be mitigated by the armor a lot of the time.
armour is there now you do feel it though im used it and i expect it be melted since I use trailblazer armour anyway some one even tested it sad thing though is if that our helmet doesn't do jack shit so if you get in the head u still melt like before.
Arrowhead just dabbed on the entire AAA market. Best Multi Player Third Person Shooter probably ever released and they're selling it for 40$, and they actually give a shit about the gameplay. Baldur's Gate 3 and Helldivers 2 show what AAA gaming could be. That we could get fantastic games worth every dolar spent on them if the studios actually cared to put in the effort. People are finally experiencing what gaming used to be like and why so many of us love video games! They see what they could have and they finally are starting to demand it.
Sentries target enemies automatically, so if some get too close to you, mortar might write you off as a collateral. The gatling/machine gun sentries do not care if you stand between them and the enemy.
Fun fact: While it might not help in the heat of the moment going prone can help you avoid 90% of sentry fire. The only guaranteed way to avoid being killed by mortars take out the person placing it down.
This game has a galactic map system divided into sectors, some sectors are under enemy control on a warfront, and the success of every mission you do on a planet ads a percentage to the liberation of that planet, malevelon creek was a planet where the game master joel cranked the dificulty to eleven, making each dificulty extra dificult and lowering the smount of percentage each mission played added to the liberation, and eventually, we lost, malevelon went from disputed to completely under automaton control, snd the automatons expanded their warfront to contest further planets that were under super earth control
I forget what video or short I heard this from but fun fact: you can destroy automaton fabricators with grenades more easily by chucking it through the door shortly after a bot comes out.
just checking... @Airier you did update your GPU drivers and all that right? and maybe verified game files integrity? I really hope you did and its not just you loading into the game over and over again hoping things changed.
The guys that made Helldivers also made Magicka which used a similar mechanic to the stratagems to cast custom spells. QWEASD were each a spell element that you could combine together to create wildly different effects. I was always partial to the water, electric, fire, arcane combo for creating electrified steam beams of death.
Btw: Bricky runs a 40k lore podcast called Adeptus Ridiculous which goes over all kinds of 40k lore with the motto of "entertainment over accuracy" with his co-host who isn't 40k versed. Also, once a month, they do a true crime/crypteds episode on the same channel called Detective Ridiculous. Edit: no, the robots are actually unironically communists in universe. Their the remnants/upgrades of the cyborg communists from the first game. Also, don't worry, everyone who plays the game is aware it's satire. But there's a lot of people who don't play the game and don't know that the players are fully aware it's satire and meming that they actually get vitriol about it - and at the same time, those same people tend to read into stuff that isn't there like comparing the bugs to... "Certain Demographics," and thinks Helldivers is promoting hatred. Which leads to the players meming on them even harder because "bruh - do you remember what happened when WotC said that about Orcs?"
1:40 the dice role and characters were a reference to Disco Elysium. Character names are Gary, the Cryptofascist (crypto as in cryptozoology) and Racist Lorry Driver
can you even copyright "murderous bug monster from space?" starting at diff 4 and never stopping afterwards, armor actually matters a LOT if you have the pass, get the dominator, it's a bolter... literally. 20 charges saved, 2 minute cooldown per charge after. Dying is easy, no one blames you for it. except after 30 minutes(depending on the mission sometimes less) ALL stratagems, including reinforcements, become unavailable and an emergency extraction shuttle is sent. Samples, upgrade currency to make everything your destroyer does and drops better. stuff to make your helldiver better is unlocked with medals. and super credits serve to either unlock reward tracks, or buy from the daily offers. the difficulty thing is honestly amazing, i came along on a level 9 (helldive, highest) mission and was not just a load for the team to carry.
Okay, both enemies are balanced more or less the same way. It's just that bots have more variants. Bugs go in swarms, and often changing difficulty will turn boss bug from previous difficulty into common strong variant while somethings much stronger takes its place. And no, values on enemies don't change between difficulties from what i know. It's just that there is sheer amount of them, variety of them, and how often patrols and breaches spawns changes. So there are no bullet sponges, but sometimes you wish there were.
Also, yes. At times you'll have enemy spam so massive, you'll have to figure out what surrounds you not from seeing the bugs, but from visual effects each bug can apply to you. If you see green, that's spewer. If you feel like You've been run over by a truck, that's charger. Have you managed to appropriately guess where to shoot while your screen is distorted? Yes? Congratulations, it doesn't matter, you're dead anyways because one of the other eighty three bugs surrounding you bit off your legs.
There is speculated a third enemy faction based on the first game which they haven't added yet but data miners are finding files related to said faction, the faction being the illuminates which are like basically fish people who are more advance than humanity and where humanity got its technology for FTL and such because we obliterated their race in the first game because they potentially have wmd's and that they have better technology than us and only humanity can have better technology and no one else which is why we are also at war with the automaton and the cyborgs because only super earth can have better tech and monopoly on the bug oil to power said technology.
helldivers 2 did have some file issues when some of the updates came out so maybe checking file integrity would help? Also the thing about the dick rock is legit. It's really useful to know to look for it, as on the lowest difficulty mission with super samples the dick rock contains the only super samples in the entire map
Did you verify the game files of Helldivers 2 on steam? it sounds like something failed to download when you downloaded the game. If that doesn't work, I'd try a full uninstall and reinstall just to be safe. from there it might be a driver issue with your cpu or gpu.
To quote the starship Troopers director "I want to make a film so absurdly satirical that those who get it are held in constant despair listening to those who don't". And yeah... Same applies to helldivers 2
The problem with the Starship Troopers director is that he while he made a great movie, he did an _abysmal_ job at portraying a morally dead, fascist society.
@@Lord_NumptyYeah, helldivers does a much better job portraying the government of super earth as much less free than it states to be. Theres like one or two things in SST that can make someone's head turn, but other than those the Federation and its agents seem to generally act pretty moral within the framework of their universe. It's mostly the over the top military jingoism and propaganda that people love anyway, which is definitely used my many governments and not exclusive to fascism.
If you want to see something else a bit like this (that will probably run on a potatoe) check out the EDF series. I recommend the Russian Badger's video as a good intro.
I can only recommend getting into a Spotify Jam with your friends and listening to "white girl music"/Party Pop. It is so much fun and funny when you are just running through hell chased by a hundred bugs and hearing Katy Perry sing "California Girls"
It really is a shame you can't play Helldivers 2, it is quite the fun game no matter what difficulty it is, especially when you play with friends or randoms that don't do trolly things. Also really hope you can get Helldivers 2 to work eventually. Edit: The Terminids when they die decompose into oil when they die & not only that they were biologically modified to become the bugs they are today. Edit 2: The Automatons used to be part of Super Earth's citizenry but seceded after coming to blows against it, not only that they do fear tactics by quite literally having cages that has dead people in it & occasionally have some helldiver helms on pikes as to do demoralizing effects Edit 3: The Automatons have a marching/patrol cadence when they're not in combat which conflicts with what one of the ads in the Super Destroyer says when you're off mission Edit 4: Samples are used to upgrade you Super Destroyer giving it buffs to your strategems whether it lowers the cooldown, better pod steering, bigger scan radius & other stuff like that Edit 5: Autocannon is a good weapon against light to medium armor enemies, heavy armor ones just straight up ignore it until you strip off their armor Also random side note: can I get unbanned from the Discord, somebody managed to hack into my account & got me banned by spamming fake steam gift links
Malevelon Creek is Space Vietnam since in higher difficulties on that planet becomes a near endless firefight from the amount of projectiles coming in your direction which has a very good chance to oneshot you

44:05 I think the speech is from Warhammer Total War, it's basically one of the pre-battle speeches they've had in the total war games since Medieval 2 at least, but Warhammer-fied
So what works for me on increasing The frame rate of my game is to lower the resolution play on the lowest settings possible on graphics and turn Down the resolution a couple of degrees that will increase the frame rate of which you can play The Game. Sure, look like s***, but at the very least, you'll be able to play It.
44:32 the "welcome to Estalia" audio is from, well, "Welcome to Estalia" by symmy which is a meme about Balthazar Gelt from Warhammer fantasy and more accurately for the meme from the Total War Warhammer game series.
It's definitely your computer, broheim. Just like it was my computer before I realized that my steam client was in some sort of half-state where it looked like I was connected but really wasn't
It's not EXACTLY oil the bugs decompose into, it's a new element called "E-710" that is essential to powering FTL starship drives. The fact that it is a slick, dark black substance that you pump out of the ground, and that "710" upside down and backwards is literally "OIL" is just a coincidence of course.
So the sentries, drones, and orbital laser just target enemies, and each sentry/drone/whatever has its own priority. But they don't stop firing if you (or your team) gets in the way.
Funny thing, I never once got that we were the bad guys. Probably because, and this is just me, but I either turned off my brain to enjoy, or was too busy trying not to get killed horribly for me to notice.
My computer is a gaming laptop from 2016. I can't even run Overwatch 2 after they upgraded it from the 1st game. I know it would stutter and choke to death trying to run this beautiful game. I am legitimately considering wanting to buy this on PS5 so I can actually play it. I am so conditioned to play shooters with keyboard and mouse but I would rather just go with $40 to immediately play on console over figure out how to get $800-1000 or more for a whole new updated gaming PC. Absolutely worth it to finally play this absolute masterpiece
wasn't original starship troopers book ment to be an actual semi-utopia, where the writer tried to adress people not taking their right to vote seriouselly and politicians being politicians by making you earn the right to vote by service so once you became involved in politics you woupd not idk start wars for giggles and not throw gov money willy-nilley... and then the movie director went "sounds like fascism to me, let's make an anti fascist movie" but he never read the book, but the guy under him did and it resulted in this wierd hybrid of original stuff kinda getting trough from the mask of fascism-bad movie? I mean ffs did we reach a point where an idea of a united earth, and all it's different citizens working, fighting ect together and being an planet if not multi planes sized superpower is bad... cuz something something you need to feel bad and HFY is evil?
The original book requires a level nuance that the overwhelming majority of people simply aren't capable of. They claim the author is a fascist without realizing he made several books in a similar vein about wildly different ideologies and government types, and putting them in very nuanced way. I don't agree with the author's messaging regarding those ideologies, but I can still appreciate the nuance.
I mean that quite literally is a fascist system complete with fascist motivation rooted in an aesthetic argument for implementing it, at least in the broad strokes. For example, in Starship Troopers a person born with a sufficiently disabling condition can't vote. Neither can those who do not want to do violence in the name of the government.
Orbital bombardments commenced at the crack of dawn Spectacular view from the shuttle as I plummet down Land and see a youngling fleeing for the shelter Horror in its eyes as I go helter-skelter Butchered where it stood, never stood a chance Space Cadets- Wars of Expansion
Malevelon Creek is this galaxy's Cadia. Bots attacked it and we lost it, and the planet became a martyr for the cause, so much so that we failed this past weekend's major order because half the fighting force in the west wasn't trying to fulfill those orders. Instead, they were trying to take back Malevelon Creek. And yes, I was one of them lol
"orbital 380mm incoming" is literaly the worst thing you can hear in the game more than "Hellbomb is armed" cause you are guarenteed to live if run quite a far away from the hellbomb, but you are almost guarenteed to get hit by 380mm. Also yes we kill them for fuel for ships and other things. It's called "Element 710" which the bugs produce.
They tightened up the barrages. The 120mm has a 50-55m radius and the 380mm has a 65m radius. Long as you're outside those ranges and you can tell how far if you hover over the beam in question which tells you exactly what was called and how far you are from the center of it. The barrages are now a go-to now that they're not as random anymore.
@@graveyardshift6691 lol 😂 that's what I thought too, I used one in draupnir I ran away from the 3 tanks and 4 hulks and about 15 chainsaw bots and additional two drop ships almost 90mtrs( using those smoke mushroom and jetpack) I still got hit randomly by it. 😒
I'm not a big tech-supporty kind of guy, but one thing I have noticed is that Helldivers 2 Is pretty heavy duty on the ole GPU. Normally I barely notice my room's temperature while gaming, but helldivers (and I've noticed other people mention this), seems to heat up the GPU quite a bit more than other games, to the point that I regularly need my ceiling fan on to keep my room cool, even when the average temperature outside is in the negatives (in Celsius). If you've tweaked your pc's temperature controls at all then it could be that the GPU is getting too hot for your cooling to keep up with, causing it to start panicking, and then freezing as a result. At a minimum, if you try to install the game again, try running it with your temp settings cranked up higher than normal just in case it was the GPU getting too hot, too quickly. Again, I ain't a big tech support guy, but it doesn't take a tech whiz to notice their pc running hotter than normal. Hope you get the issue fixed soon, so you can enjoy spreading Freedom, Liberty, and Democracy with everyone else!
Tge difficulty spike is insane. On higher difficulty against the bugs you usually see 2 Hieropant titans coming towards you and the moment you kill them you already surrounded by the other 4.
I would like to state that I think 'Managed Democracy' on a purely conceptual level, sounds like a good idea, especially when statistics have already shown (old statistics from the mid-1900s to the early 2000s, but statistics nonetheless) that over 40% of the active voter base votes on party lines alone, regardless of the candidates policy stances. Having an AI ask you policy questions, then matching your policy standpoints to an appropriate political candidate, regardless of political background, makes much more sense than blindly voting on political lines and hoping for change. Sadly, I also know that, in practice, this would never work, as is everything that happenswhen the human element is introduced into any situation, as it would be co-opted by people in power to keep them in power.
Managed Democracy already has existed in practice...and it's basically no different than a modern authoritarian regime. China is a really good example.
34:20 funnily enough, bricky is also a big destiny enjoyer as well, so he 100% already knows the feeling of being kicked from a raid for not using div or gally lmao
“You are not HIM.” It’s a semi-Modern slang thing, in a similar vein as saying someone is “based”. “I am HIM. I am THAT GUY.” (or alternatively, “I am that n--a”) Instead of “I’m someone you don’t want to f-k with.” it’s “I am the ONE man, you NEVER want to f-k with.” Picked it up through context from various videos. Malsworld “How Doom Slayer treats his enemies”, Several times in Mugiwara no Goofy’s videos about One Piece and how Luffy is “Him” and I THINK CoryxKenshin when he played God of War: Ragnarok referred to Thor as “The HIM God”.
I wanted to ask if you made sure your computer could run the game and did you update your drivers because I was asked to update them when I first booted up the game I know this is the most obvious answer on how to fix the problem of the game not running on your computer but people sometimes overlook the obvious like me from time to time and assume you can play the game as soon as you download it and wanted to make sure
The cyborgs, automations, terminids and illuminate aren't the good guys. It's like 40k. Everyone is bad. The only difference is that in this universe there is no copium of "super earth is just a necessary evil. It's the best we could do"
Exaclty I still unironically side with humanity why would I side with socialist robots trying to conquer humanity? And terminids are an outbreak of space bugs they are basically dangerous animals no point in siding with them at all.
nids aren't really evil they're just there living, mindless (as far as we know) just living to exist and based on instict and we just used em for oil but for the most part ye everyone is in some level of evil
(lore wise) You're actually wrong, Check the lore. None of them were hostile at all. It's actually opposite! They offered peace and super earth not just turned it down but declared war on them. It was always the Super earth who was aggresive. We're fighting for evil fascist empire (Super earth) while terribly high on propaganda and that's the charm of it. Automatons : they are litreally fighting super earth to free Cyberstan and their creators from slavery (cyborgs) who are humans that rebelled against Super Earth. Bugs : At first they weren't hostile at all until Super earth decided to attack them and enslave them to produce oil then broke free. This is where Bug/automaton sympathizers joke come to play. That's all! This is my final message as ministry of truth will silence me.
9:16 it reminds me of how Generation Z has inside jokes in language that is ironic and satirical and isn’t meant to be taken seriously, but Generation Alpha are too young to know that and think they should let the rizzler cook.
Probably already done ages ago but... update drivers, verify integrity, make sure power settings aren't screwing with things, antivirus permissions and blah blah blah.
Have you gotten the game running yet, Airier? If not, I would check every components firmware for updates, the BIOS, too. Also, I’m sure you’ve already tried this, but uninstall Helldivers 2 and then reinstall. If that doesn’t work, uninstall again but go into the Steam folder to delete all the remnant data left over.
Don’t know if you’ll see this, but here are a few suggestions. Uninstall the game and then use either windirstat or the newer version to completely erase all cache files. Make sure your drivers are updated (I use driver easy for automatic and simple 1 click all updated). Check your CPU usage (Helldivers 2 is a heavy cpu game). If none of those work, I am now in your discord and can try to trouble shoot some stuff. I’ve got some friends in the cyber security space who’ve helped some of my other friends with Helldivers 2 issues as well.
37:58 Helldivers 2 is a Sony FUNDED game. They don’t own Arrowhead Studios and can’t lay off their employees without first having to pressure the CEO into compliance.
Your game could be having the same issue I had on my pc. During the install process SOMEHOW it broke my pc reader of c++. it bricked everything for me and i wasn't able to do anything at all. Just had to do a clean reinstall all the c++ scripts on my pc itself and the game finally loaded properly
Hi, if you wanna check out more Bricky videos and you haven't played or not planning to play the Uncharted series, or just curious, check out his videos on it (parts 1-4 and the dlc).
Sony can't do any firing of people in Arrowhead. They're just publishing the game, they don't own or control Arrowhead. Same way NMS devs didn't get all fired when their launch flopped years ago.
It wasn’t you are not him, it was you are not Him. As in, you are not That Guy, or, you are not the Hero with Plot Armor that gets The Girl after defeating Evil.
48:01 ok two dumb possibilities, but they are both related to the game’s anti-cheat software. 1) the software maybe detecting modded games on your cpu, and I hear the anti-cheat software doesn’t know the difference between mods for one game and one for Helldivers and auto assumes that you are trying to mod the game especially if the mods are passively active in the background. Possibly number two, said anti-cheat software not only actively scans your cpu, it also runs on said cpu, also I think Helldiver uses several threads on said cpu. Now I don’t know how good your CPU is but if it doesn’t have a lot threads that might be way. Also the server issues are still being tweaked, so thirdly is you might just have really bad luck and very time you try to get on the server crashes
A few things, The Breaker got Nerfed its by no means bad and still the most prefered weapon against the bugs but its no longer good at everything Mortars aim at enemies some close to you some far away but they do not consider friendly fire. There is the Electro Magnetic Field Mortars that DON"T kill you and make the enemies stand still but they are not as fun The Arrowhead devs are trying to balance things so that no weapon or strat is good at everything. thus you have to think about what you bring in. AND it works you will play with everything. There is an issue with bullet sponges with Heavy enemies but if you bring a anti tank weapon like the EAT-17 or Gr-8 you will be good...and likely swarmed by the lesser enemies. you have to make a decision do you want heavy weapons and or anti swarms there is no wrong answer but you will regret your weapon choices. Never forget the Creek, Spill oil We unlock new stuff by capturing planets...we captured the mech planet 4 times faster then they thought possible
When picking weapons it's most preferred to see what your teammates carry and adapt. You want to have something anti tank and anti swarm at all times when fighting bugs, so it's best if some people go one, some go another. This took me a moment to understand, but this game really wasn't made to be solo experience. More often than not if you'll try to do everything on your own, you won't do anything. Most damage sponge enemies just feel that way due to armour, i would argue. It's not always easy to hit their weak spots. Unless we're talking titans, those things are indeed spongy, but they're the biggest enemies in game so far, so that's allowed so far. In current state of the game, i can't really think of weapon that's particularly useless. Senator, or however that revolver is called, feels like the best contender for that title, but even it is not particularly bad, just often outclassed in ease of use.
Senator is a must for bots. It is hyper accurate and does a ton of weakpoint damage. and yes adapting to your squad is best but sometimes your squad is down and the weaknesses in your loadout pop out. Best to know what you can and cannot do with any loadout you bring. Also you'd be surprised on how some useless items become very useful like smoke blocking bugs from joining your fight or using the shield generator as bait to distract enemies while you wipe out their base@@nihili4196
05:20 The game requires root access. If you have your security set rather high or If you happen to have a virus already hyjacking that, getting the game to run properly will become an adventure. Assuming the latter, if at all possible try a fresh installed OS and see if it does the same. Otherwise get a good viral can opener and go to town for a few hours.
Hey, did you set up all your Steam folders as an exception for your antivirus, HD2 crashed for me the other day and cause itself and Steam to be flagged by my AV as threats, I set the folders where steam and the games live, and the Steam folder under ' "user"\appdata\local ', qnd that fixed it for me.
So the 2 characters on the twitter post are characters from the game Disco Elysium. They are Gary the Cryptofacist and Racist Lorry Driver. Yes those are their real names. Disco Elysium is a fantastic game.
You likey have a driver issue or a bios issue. Even really stupid drivers like sound drivers can prevent things from loading properly. You should probably look up your board model and grab all the drivers if you havnt already.
They don't want to add IRL stuff to the game, so i doubt they'd have a cape with someones name on it. Let alone the fact they said they'd never add LGBTQ+-÷× capes or anything political into it.
hmm me think why you couldn't load in is because your pc couldn't handle the mass of bad guys when you play also using a potato pc doesn't help @Airier ALSO i think you might need to update your potato.
You could try updating your graphics drivers, and verifying the integrity of your game files on steam. If that doesn't work id straight up upgrade your cpu or graphics card.
I've found that a lot of HELLDIVERS are like cats, they can't help themselves and rather than run away, run towards the shiny red light.
I swear, the amount of time i threw the stratagem as far away from my team as possible, only to then one or two people suddenly sprint across the map to dive right in the middle of the bombardment is astounding.
Everyone thinks they're a space marine when they're just a guardsmen

Realize bugs have good oil.
Move all bugs to specific planets.
Now the bugs are breaking out.
The Helldivers are, for all intents and purposes; Zookeepers. Their job is to stop the bugs from escaping their enclosures.
😂 why does that sound so familiar. Make up something invade and get oil 😒. Get attacked say in invasion by aliens and attack them back and get more resources. This game makes real good sense of our worlds no 1 power.
That is for terminids Only then you have the other 2 factions with mutilation and regretful invasion by a species from space
Then there's the illuminates where humanity got their ftl technology from by justifying a war against them because they have better tech than us and that they have wmd's despite showing peaceful intent and so we wiped them out in the first game and there's speculation that they will be coming back in this game with a vengeance.
@serpentblade8704 so the middle east is a bunch of animals
it's even worse, the bug can't space travel they are moved around by Super earth to create a false threat

Sony owns the ip so arrowhead has no say in helldivers 2 lol
@Steelix371 Sony doesn't own the Ip they only helped publish the game. Helldivers is owned by Arrowhead
" *We need to talk* ? I'm pretty sure those are the three most terrifying words!"
...
That is four words.
“Allies you can kil- to cover you”
Yup, he’s already getting into the correct mindset.
This entire game is like that, you can use bile Titan to destroy beats and other bugs, hulks and tanks to kill other bots, towers and bot factories.
If you want an armor comparison you can watch a video comparing the armor rating after patch, and seeing a tiny scavenger bug still able to hit the head of a standing helldivers despite the height difference do show how much of the damage you get won't even be mitigated by the armor a lot of the time.
armour is there now
you do feel it
though im used it and i expect it be melted since I use trailblazer armour anyway
some one even tested it
sad thing though is if that our helmet doesn't do jack shit
so if you get in the head u still melt like before.
Mortars target the closest target. That means the charger running towards you will be hit at about the same time it knocks you down.
@@Dostoron To piggyback on this guy, there's also a ship upgrade that prioritizes where you put a pin called "Cross-Platform Compatibility"
I love Helldivers lore. The element that allows FTL travel is element 710.
I forget what video or short I heard this from but fun fact: you can destroy automaton fabricators with grenades more easily by chucking it through the door shortly after a bot comes out.
BIG PS.
recently a whole lot of stability issues got fixed, maybe give reinstalling another shot?
Worth a shot. 😁👍

Which leads to the players meming on them even harder because "bruh - do you remember what happened when WotC said that about Orcs?"

the difficulty thing is honestly amazing, i came along on a level 9 (helldive, highest) mission and was not just a load for the team to carry.
I want to say you can't copyright it because it's too generic, but... I'm sure someone will try.
Yes?

44:09 That’s Bethasar Gelt from Total War. Specifically the “Welcome to Estalia” Vietnam meme. Definitely worth checking out.
Did you verify the game files of Helldivers 2 on steam? it sounds like something failed to download when you downloaded the game. If that doesn't work, I'd try a full uninstall and reinstall just to be safe. from there it might be a driver issue with your cpu or gpu.
I did. But I haven't tried since the latest update. I'm going to try again soon.
To quote the starship Troopers director "I want to make a film so absurdly satirical that those who get it are held in constant despair listening to those who don't". And yeah... Same applies to helldivers 2
No, because helldivers 2 actually delivers the message, stop sucking the dick of verhoven. Kthx
Mainly because Veerhoven never read the actual source text, and overlaid his preconceptions unto Heinlein's work.
@@Lord_NumptyNah, the major problem is that Starship Troopers is a satire of liberal satire of 'fascism'.

We should definitely do it....

Edit 2: The Automatons used to be part of Super Earth's citizenry but seceded after coming to blows against it, not only that they do fear tactics by quite literally having cages that has dead people in it & occasionally have some helldiver helms on pikes as to do demoralizing effects
Edit 3: The Automatons have a marching/patrol cadence when they're not in combat which conflicts with what one of the ads in the Super Destroyer says when you're off mission
Edit 4: Samples are used to upgrade you Super Destroyer giving it buffs to your strategems whether it lowers the cooldown, better pod steering, bigger scan radius & other stuff like that
Edit 5: Autocannon is a good weapon against light to medium armor enemies, heavy armor ones just straight up ignore it until you strip off their armor
Also random side note: can I get unbanned from the Discord, somebody managed to hack into my account & got me banned by spamming fake steam gift links
Malevelon Creek is Space Vietnam since in higher difficulties on that planet becomes a near endless firefight from the amount of projectiles coming in your direction which has a very good chance to oneshot you
The Recoilless Rifle is another good armor buster if well aimed. The AM Rifle can down the small "Walkers" with a couple of well aimed shots.

Higher difficulties spawn more enemies and they're higher tier enemies so there are more tanks, more devastators, more titans and chargers etc.
Mad respect to Bricky. I saw that ad-read and couldn't be displeased.
It's not EXACTLY oil the bugs decompose into, it's a new element called "E-710" that is essential to powering FTL starship drives.
The fact that it is a slick, dark black substance that you pump out of the ground, and that "710" upside down and backwards is literally "OIL" is just a coincidence of course.

and then the movie director went "sounds like fascism to me, let's make an anti fascist movie" but he never read the book, but the guy under him did and it resulted in this wierd hybrid of original stuff kinda getting trough from the mask of fascism-bad movie?
I mean ffs did we reach a point where an idea of a united earth, and all it's different citizens working, fighting ect together and being an planet if not multi planes sized superpower is bad... cuz something something you need to feel bad and HFY is evil?
Yes. On all counts.

Two fun facts there are plans for Boss encounters and the Bile Titans are considered small on their home planet

Instead of “I’m someone you don’t want to f-k with.” it’s “I am the ONE man, you NEVER want to f-k with.”

A few things,
The Breaker got Nerfed its by no means bad and still the most prefered weapon against the bugs but its no longer good at everything
Mortars aim at enemies some close to you some far away but they do not consider friendly fire. There is the Electro Magnetic Field Mortars that DON"T kill you and make the enemies stand still but they are not as fun
The Arrowhead devs are trying to balance things so that no weapon or strat is good at everything. thus you have to think about what you bring in.
Never forget the Creek, Spill oil
We unlock new stuff by capturing planets...we captured the mech planet 4 times faster then they thought possible
There's apparently an issue with certain Ryzen Graphics cards, which I'm told there's a beta driver out there that could fix it.
And this game is made by a descontinued engine (was descontinued in 2020) then is really impresive.
Huh. First time I've heard of this option. I'll look into it. 😁👍
When do you plan to do the next Star Wars vs 40k ep? We are almost at the space battles!
@Airier Sony can't lay off anyone at Arrowhead; they're just publishing the game. Arrowhead is indie.
PS have you tried updating your drivers? Everytime I have a problem with a game it tends to be a driver issue
Well here goes nomination for the game of the year.
Its a warhammer fantasy total war quote at the end there
So the 2 characters on the twitter post are characters from the game Disco Elysium.
They are Gary the Cryptofacist and Racist Lorry Driver.
Yes those are their real names. Disco Elysium is a fantastic game.
As a word of advice; HD2 does not like VPNs. That may be contributing to some of your issues.
@Airier Do you still need help you your gaming PC?
Maybe. I've got a lot of advice on different possible solutions. Just need to get time to try it out
I always love how people think Starship Troopers is satire, when, at best, it's failed satire.
hmm me think why you couldn't load in is because your pc couldn't handle the mass of bad guys when you play also using a potato pc doesn't help @Airier ALSO i think you might need to update your potato.
All joking aside, my potato is really updated. You can even call it a hot potato. That's definitely not the issue. 😅
@@Airier a potato is still a potato lol
😋😁👍
You could try updating your graphics drivers, and verifying the integrity of your game files on steam. If that doesn't work id straight up upgrade your cpu or graphics card.
