Yes! Equinox = highly recommended. The 700 is more than enough for beach & park hunting! I have the 600 & (newly bought) Manticore. Am having great beach fun w/both (no more parks for me). I hope to hear familiar Minelab tones on your upcoming videos. ☀
How do you like the Manticore? I currently use the Excalibur2, but am thinking about having a backup detector. Not sure if its really any better than just buying another Excalibur though.
@@marklanders630 - I've only had a chance to use it 2x, both times @the beach. Unquestionably, it's superior to the Nox 600 in depth & target separation. Some signals were too far down for me to dig before waves filled in the hole. The VDI scale is completely different from the 600/800. There's lots of info from big-time users on FB.
Now that the snow has kinda melted in No. Nevada, I go metal detecting every time after watching your latest offering. Yesterday I got 5 wheats in a coin spill. Like a gift from you. Thanks and keep it up!
‘62, my birth year..🎉🎉 the item you asked if it looked familiar to anyone, yes. Shaped the same as the clip that held up hose when using a garter belt.
That was a low beach and the ideal time to hunt it. On low beaches with a lot of iron sounding like quarters go for the gold! Dig gold signals because you are at the magic layer for gold if it's there. I ignore clad signals on days like that unless there are a lot of silver coins known to be found on that particular beach on such days. If not then I concentrate on gold Id's and only gold ID's.
Here's some alpha: Seacliff is being worked on by backhoes from 7- 2/2:30ish on the weekdays, near where the dock was. They won't let anybody near that area until they leave. This area is being disturbed often and the sands are being shifted more than other parts of the beach making it a prime digging area if you're first! Some other detectorists have caught on and have been digging it during the weekend, but I was just there today and picked up 3 silver dimes, a silver crucifix, what is possibly a silver graduation tassel charm from 1959, and a ton of clad. Before the construction crew left, I scouted from Seacliff to Rio del mar, and found very little, but when I started to dig in front of the dock I immediately found a coin line. Just make sure you're first and you'll find alot!
Ohh man sounds like an epic hunt to me! I almost went there yesterday because I saw pictures on instagram of the sand all stirred up. But I decided to go to Seabright instead because I was thinking of the food I wanted to eat afterwards 🍱😂 It was sanded in super bad and there were a ton of people so the dry sand was a no go. Then it got super windy so I left after about 45 minutes and tried Moran but had the same problem there. I might head up there tomorrow or the next day and check it out🤙🤙
Oh wow. Headphone delay was bad. So now what's this ship wreck you showed?. Any info on it? LoL a cement ship...wowsa. That heavy metal may have come from that ship? Thinking of you and hoping your days ahead are nice to you. Until next time my friend. 😢♥️🙏👋
I have just started metal detecting in Florida and I'm looking to buy a sand scoop. Any recommendations on which one to purchase or anything you would steer clear of? Anything you wish you knew before you got yours?
I would recommend anything from CKG. They’re not cheap but they are lightweight and strong. I have the titanium one and I love it. I had the cheaper Amazon ones and they rusted and broke within a couple months.
@@MontereyMagnetMan My mother once found a duffle bag full of high end camera equipment on a bench overlooking Pamlico Sound in the OBX. We looked for ID in the bag to no avail. We turned it in to cashier at the business it was in front of. We figured even if the rightful owner came back to claim it it may not have been turned over to them. Life lesson: In hind sight, we figured it would have been better to say we found it and left our phone number in case the rightful owner came back to claim it.
Oh no don't go to the dark side.... I follow you because you use a legend.... but yes the temptation is strong....I find lots of everything except gold.
I just got my Excalibur back from being repaired by the Detector Center in Pennsylvania. Luckily I saved my receipt because I wound up having to send them a picture of the serial# after I couldn't find it on the detector. I'm definitely eyeballing the Manticore when my tax refund shows up.
I was trying to remember “Chaney”, it’s what they call the pottery pieces in the Virgin Islands. I watch a channel called “we dig it” and they find it there all the time
I've heard seacliff is one of the only places not terribly sanded in, but it's getting there. I was there yesterday and found a silver ring down the beach to the left and a silver dime near that torn down pier. Some people pulled out a bunch of coin there last week on friday.
did you get it from serious detecting you mentioned them in the past I believe they should be able to help you ! there all ive ever used fast and reliable
That "clip" is from a garter belt for nylon stockings...very old school.

Excelente máquina the legend... saludos...
Call them to let them tell you how to fill out forms. Beautiful jade. I am a rock person. You have the collection for successful mixed media art fun.
Happy Easter Monterey.
Happy Easter to you too! 🙏🤙
That little thing is a garter clip to hold up stockings way back in the day

I have Raycon ear buds and I tried them with my EQ 800 , super massive delay just like what you experienced.
Happy Easter 🐣 Great video.
Happy Easter to you too Casey 🤙🤙
hope things are looking better for you. I think that item about 3 minutes in is a clip for holding up stockings or such like. keep smiling😁

That clip thing goes to a garter belt . Nice finds good hunt . 💗💖💜🥰
Garter Belt
Happy Easter 🐣🐇🐰
Happy Easter!
Nice video 🥰🤗
The nokta wireless headphones that come with Legend work great with equinox also
Happy Easter, Daniel. Take care and God bless. ❤
Happy Easter! 🙏
The SS Palo Alto was a ship built for WW1 but was finished too late to see action. yes, I just got this off wikipedia ...
Years ago the concrete ship was a very popular fishing spot... Nowadays it's a big no no.... Too dangerous., The good days are gone.😢
Have u tried putting your detector on setting I believe #2 so it goes in head phones and though speakers just texting out loud haha
My speaker is broken.
way to go on turning the ring in, does the manager just take it home after 30 days passes or do you get it back?
My thoughts, exactly. I turned in $80 at Home Depot when I worked there. No record of it after 30 days.
Oh I’m sure they’ll just take it. 😂

Jedd ? JEYEED ? Grandma "Clamp"ett says she'll give ya a nickel for a pickle ! Keep em coming 3M !

You could always CALL the company about your headphones. It's a novel idea, but you could try it. : )
Lol true. I always forget that my iPhone is also a phone 🤣🤣
where you got the detector should sort it for you.

Be careful with the batteries! Lithium and water don’t mix! They will go thermonuclear ! Also the vapes!
Hey so if you get a Nox will you sell your Legend?
No, it would still be part of the collection. I’d still use it from time to time. Or have it as a spare for friends to use
haha,, monterey mineral hound
Beware. I turned into a rockhound while I was waiting for my Legend Speaker to be repaired.
It’s slowly becoming a habit 😂😂
I hope those headphones weren't the Bluetooth earbuds I recommended.
why are you on cheney at 5 min mark?
I was trying to remember “Chaney”, it’s what they call the pottery pieces in the Virgin Islands. I watch a channel called “we dig it” and they find it there all the time
Oh yeah, pot shard? Isn't that what they call those broken pieces of pottery?
Lol yea I guess here it is. Apparently it’s only “Chaney” if it’s from the Virgin Islands 🤷♂️
If no one claims the ring will it go back to you?
I hope so lol
Removes toxic batteries from Mother Ocean. In return, Mother Ocean tries to drown any detectorist with their back turned towards her…
Watching now, even though you planted a shipwreck for views 🤣🤣
🤫🤫🤫 don’t tell nobody 🤣

I'm not a Gearhead I'm a metal detector
2:57 it's a clip that women hold their stockings up with. These days they would be used in lingerie.
Shipwreck? Slim pickens these days!
Happy Resurrection Day
If you're using wireless headphones then you need to be using low-latency headphones.
They were advertised as low latency but that turned out to be a lie 😂😂 I’ve already returned them
@@MontereyMagnetMan yeah that figures. Getting to the point you can't trust anybody's word anymore.
did you get it from serious detecting you mentioned them in the past I believe they should be able to help you ! there all ive ever used fast and reliable
I got it from KellyCo. I think I’ll go with serious detecting on my next one
