Anger can actually be a symptom of anxiety. When you have all that extra nervous energy, you either internalize it or your project it outward. Projecting it outward can include being aggressive. But Drew is, by all evidence, not an aggressive boi.
@@nothingbutaweirdo1967 , no problem! A good way to remember is that anxiety is basically the "fight, flight, or freeze" instinct being triggered all the time. You get scared and either stand still and wait for it to end, run away from the danger, or you try and fight.

yeah, scamming your fans out of their money is bad and all, but can I just point out how comically large the door to the ACE Family home is? like, you built this house from the ground up, figuratively speaking - you made all the design choices, which means at some point you looked at the design for that door and went..."yeah, I want the door that makes it look like I'm a Smurf living in a human's house - that's a design choice I approve of" I just don't understand that thinking
@@melindamercier6811 I didn't know that! This is from October 2021: "The McBrooms no longer own the home, the records show. However, because of California's nonjudicial foreclosure law, 5 Arch Funding Corporation would need to file and win an eviction lawsuit to make them leave the property - so they won't be evicted if they voluntarily leave or pay their remaining debt. Otherwise, a lengthy legal eviction process could take place." So they're basically squatting in that mansion now.

@@statementofjoespooky1660 I feel sorry for the kids but at the same time they don't /need/ to live in a mansion to be healthy and happy. @@statementofjoespooky1660 They're not gonna be homeless. They have a shit ton of money. I'm more concerned for the kids because they're youtuber kids, not because they won't be able to live in a huge mansion.

Hey Drew, low chance that you'll see this, but I'm typing it anyway. I do customer service, and when a user leaves a three-star or below review on something, the review plugin we use sends us an alert that it happened. Typically one of three things will happen: We will read the review, deem it as not spam if it's a legitimate review, and green light it. Or, if there one star review was for a specific complaint, we will contact the user and try to remedy the issue they're having by email, or by sending them a replacement, etc. Or third, if it's spam, or obviously someone's grandma not knowing how computers work, will basically throw the review out. All that being said, your one star review is very legitimate
I’m sorry you were scammed on Runescape, Drew. Amazingly, something similar happened when I played The Simpsons Tapped Out mobile game, people were offering to basically hack your account and give you thousands of free donuts (the premium currency in the game) and you know what? They were actually freaking honestly helping users for no cost and out of the goodness of their hearts. It was awesome. I could have lost my account (which I actually put real money into many times) but they were fortunately good hearted people who just wanted to help. I feel like that could have gone way worse for sure.
@@ernestas.1504 Sounds like the Bitcoin scams where you need to send them some bitcoins and they double it while they show you a fake blockchain on their website where it seems like they actually double payments.
Angry Drew is a blessing, the sarcasm fully sharpened and the rants intensified. It is genuinely soothing to watch you yell at the stupid things of the world.
You know what you should do about the the moon chair? Put 5 stars in your review but then write everything that's wrong with it. Maybe their system will see 5 stars and submit your review. Also don't include any words like "scam" or "disappointed" because their system might pick up on those too
@@camicoonluv7360 I could only critique this fine product by removing it from the world, as it is a heinous blasphemy to the backside, so that no man or woman should have to suffer this inaccurately depicted chair henceforth. Five marks.
Naw, that'll just give them the opportunity to say some shit like "cus that's just how nice I am. I just want everyone to have and experience what I have blah blah blah" 😂
The exact SECOND he said "I used to trust people too", I fucking KNEW it was going to be runescape. I got scammed when I was like 10 and learned an incredibly valuable lesson about trusting literally anybody.
My girlfriend has been playing Runescape ever since she was a child and is completely in love with it. She got me into it and it's like one of her most favourite things ever. Anyway, I told her about Drew's story of getting scammed in the game and, after laughing hysterically, said she felt really bad. She also said that, if she found him after that, she would've traded him all her gold.
"Is it illegal to hide reviews like this? To just delete bad reviews off your website." Target does the same thing. I bought hair dye from them last week. The consistency was nasty, looked nothing like the ones I saw on TH-cam (other people reviewed it & raved about it) Looked like it was sitting on a shelf collecting dust for a year. Stained my hands when they said it "wouldn't stain" I left a negative review with a picture. The one star review was there, my actual review wasn't. Reloaded the page, still not there AND the 1 star review was gone. It's more common than you think apparently.
@@KP0p1437 The only place you should trust is unbiased reviews from blogs and TH-cam videos. Then you can make your own decision without all the fake reviews. Or Amazon, but only if you ignore the 5 star reviews and try to find the ones that are legit.
Drew going off on a (what seemed like a totally sincere) tangent about the moon pod fueled me for the day, it's been so long since he bought it but just hearing the pure and honest disappointment after being hung up on something for so long was so relatable.

Whats funny is Austing just got done SCAMMING people again. He scammed big influencers too, the whole social gloves event was a giant scam and none of the participants got paid. Several of them were promised millions and they put in a lot of work and put together training camps.
Damn, fr? This shit needs to be covered, not just by channels like Keem or Scarce but the actual fucking news. These youtubers/influences are getting away with too much shit that is fucking illegal
It's so *flustrating* to see how much money people like Jake Paul and Austin get from scamming people and somehow they still have a platform....why do people keep forgiving them for robbing them of their hard earned money and precious time they could be spending doing something that could actually benefit them?
Well, if they fell for it in the first place they prolly arent the brightest crayons in the box. Or its prolly little kids using their parents money. But there's no way I'd let my kids spend my money on that lol
@@rabbitttz I also wouldn't let my kid waste our money on stuff like this, and it is probably kids who ask their parents for the money, because these days all kids want to be influencers, it's really sad to see them waste their money on stupid shit like this 😔
Btw drew, the most likely reason your reviews aren't showing up is because website devs can put together a list of words or combination of words to be 'filtered out' so if it contains any of the keywords imposed by the dev, it just won't show up or will be automatically deleted. You can also do that with sponsored posts on a few social media platforms. Facebook and insta, I believe.

Tbh, everyone should play a game like runescape so they get scammed there first instead of losing thousands of dollars to scams that make runescape ones look smart
Honestly, yes. My first experience with a scam was on Neopets. Someone had made a guild promising to make every member a millionaire by a certain date if only the guild members would "support the cause" by "donating" expensive items to them. On the promised date, they changed the guild's homepage to a message along the lines of "I got you, you idiots!!!!" I was so young and naive that at first I thought the person's account had been hacked because it honestly didn't even occur to me that this person had duped so many people on such a large scale. Their account was promptly frozen, but nobody got their stuff back and I came away wiser about the world thanks to this completely fake pet simulation website.
i wasn't allowed to play online games as a kid except for poptropica, & it's virtually impossible to talk to other ppl on that site with custom messages, so i've never had that experience. i'm an adult now so thankfully i think i would not fall for a scam like that on eso or ffxiv. my boyfriend somehow got scammed on roblox tho. go figure.
rewatching this now is hilarious, seeing the aces repeatedly say THEY were the ones scammed and whatever bad happens, the fault is of the people they partnered with.
@@DottieMinerva still, but think about how many children buy this stuff, both the ace family's scams and jake paul's scams, or really any youtubers fake how to be famous campaigns
When Drew does the ad read, the part where he says "link in description, code on the screen, case on your phone, phone on the ground." is so sonically satisfying to me for no reason, fuck you Drew, for making an ad that I actually want to listen to
The Ace Families "How I Became a Millionaire". 1. Luck 2. Lack of Talent 3. Use your kids to gain a following on a social media platform of your choice 4. Ask people to pay you for false advice
Don't forget step 6. Host a "charity" basketball game where the tickets alone seemingly generate over a million dollars in revenue but only donate about $75,000 after promising to donate at least $100,000.
11:39 Some companies had been using contract provisions - including their online terms and conditions - to threaten to sue consumers or penalize them financially for posting negative reviews or complaints. The new law makes that illegal.
Drew, unfortunately you resurfaced a very shameful memory for me. When i was like 9 or so, I was obsessed with the Millsberry online platform. I joined a bunch of forums to talk with other dumb kids about it, and eventually found out it was super easy to get said dumb kids to publicly post their passwords. One thing led to another, and I robbed like 30 kids of all their shit. I raided their houses for cool stuff i wanted, took their Millsbucks, and stole all their clothes. I even made a second account to do all my stealing so I wouldn’t get found out. And I never did get found out! The kids on the forum blamed another user for some reason, and I never owned up to it until now. To all my Millsberry friends-I’m sorry. Thanks for giving me a chance to come clean, Drew. Also the Ace Family is garbage.
*you* resurfaced a shameful memory for me. I did a similar thing on VMK, Disney’s version of Club Penguin. except I would blame my stealing second account and pretend that wasn’t me after I already traded the stolen items to my main account.
Nothing else taught me more about scams and not trusting people from when the little shits in middle school would borrow my nice art supplies. I have vivid memories of telling my classmates not to color intensely with my Prismacolors then hear violent scribbling followed by the electric ‘brrrr’ of the pencils being sharpened into oblivion
It was lending out nice-ish pens and getting them back with bent clips that did it for me. And friends managing to put caps on markers so roughly they sheared the tips off.

Anger can actually be a symptom of anxiety.
When you have all that extra nervous energy, you either internalize it or your project it outward.
Projecting it outward can include being aggressive.
But Drew is, by all evidence, not an aggressive boi.
@@janeeyre1990 Wow, I didn't know that. Thanks for educated me, I appreciated it
@@nothingbutaweirdo1967 , no problem!
A good way to remember is that anxiety is basically the "fight, flight, or freeze" instinct being triggered all the time.
You get scared and either stand still and wait for it to end, run away from the danger, or you try and fight.

yeah, scamming your fans out of their money is bad and all, but can I just point out how comically large the door to the ACE Family home is?
like, you built this house from the ground up, figuratively speaking - you made all the design choices, which means at some point you looked at the design for that door and went..."yeah, I want the door that makes it look like I'm a Smurf living in a human's house - that's a design choice I approve of"
I just don't understand that thinking
They won’t be seeing that door much longer anyway seeing as they’re being foreclosed on.
@@melindamercier6811 I didn't know that! This is from October 2021:
"The McBrooms no longer own the home, the records show. However, because of California's nonjudicial foreclosure law, 5 Arch Funding Corporation would need to file and win an eviction lawsuit to make them leave the property - so they won't be evicted if they voluntarily leave or pay their remaining debt. Otherwise, a lengthy legal eviction process could take place."
So they're basically squatting in that mansion now.
@@melindamercier6811 I know that the parents are shitty and it’s satisfying to see them face consequences for it, but I can’t be happy about them losing their house because their poor kids don’t deserve that.
