It's no secret that Tamar could blow but her Toni impressions are SO funny.
I really do not get why people say this woman can't sing.
She seems to have performance anxiety. She sounds great when she sings with or around her family. On stage by herself, her performances are either ok or simply horrible. I love her and her voice, but I can understand sometimes how people are not fond of her voice in some of her performances

MissTy MuzicBox the girl can blow, but she is not a great performer and there's a huge difference between simply singing and performing. When she is comfortable (scenes from the show, with her sisters, or in the studio) her voice is heaven sent. But in a lot of her performances, it seems she has stage nervousness or she tries to hard.
One of the best voices today, no doubt.

No I think you're the one that's sleep, Beyoncé has shown time and time again that her agility and vocal abilitys are beyond measures which is why haters usually hate, and the vocal coaches and people who actually study music around the world know.

Tamar can sing a couple notes higher than Beyoncé, because she was BORN with a high, soprano voice and all 36 of y'all like he timbre better. However, if you compare them on the same notes, Bey will objectively win every time, because she honed her craft, she's better than Tamar and all other contemporaries in every area - enunciation, phrasing, breath control, support (3 octaves of support mean more than 4+ octave range with barely octave of support), better in every register (Tamar has extremely poor technique in lows like Toni, strains her belts and her falsetto is pathetic) and transitions, she sings freakin coloratura runs and has a perfect musicality and pitch. Heather you like it or not and whether you think she has a beautiful tone or raw talent, Beyoncé's technique puts her up there with the likes of Streisand. Keep lying to yourself or stop hating and start listening, people,
That said, I love Tamar and I love her voice and some songs, but she is too lazy to ever become great, even though she definitely could.
The note at 1:04 is unheard of.....the harmony only a handfull of people can accomplish..real talk.

i have been a beyonce fan since i was like 8 lol and i swore up n down no one can sing better than her and although no one will top her in my opinion as the greatest female entertainer (putting on great shows, having hit music, being able to dance, etc) tamar has a better voice..its really amazing

When she's sings in the group and when she's playing around her voice sounds stronger. When she does her solo music she sounds shaky and almost like her voice is damaged. But I think it's just nerves.

at 1:17 the exclamation "OH!" reminded me of Leona Lewis' timbre. and also around 0:17 she resembles Mariah at a quick glance. great vid, love Tamar from way when, still consider her ballad "If you don't wanna love me" an underrated classic, just like the rest of the album, which even features great lows & highs, I dare say Tamar has an impressively wide spanning range: easily 4 octaves, if you include the whistle, not as strong as Mariah's, Shanice's, Debelah's or Minnie's. still Tamar rocks!

+larionne Reine you're insane. She isn't a bad performer. Some of the live clips on this video were in from of crowds, and they sounded fine. Not all of her performances are amazing, like a lot of artists, but she can sing find in front of crowds for the most part.
