Thumbs up from me as this is an accurate representation of how most of us spend that precious shed time, 20% spanner time 80% arsing about with mates and taking the piss.Quality!!
Ride Safe fellas
+feral scotsman I hope I haven't given away that particular secret!
Tdm ....fantastic...good job !!!
Thanks!
Always love how much room there is for the plugs, lol !!!
+Dracati Ducati They don't make it easy do they?
So immature, love it!!
+Fair Weather Biker I've heard about growing up and I think it's overrated.
well done lads i have one of those German torque wrenches in the garage too 'gutentight'
+Robin Dodds Hahaha!
How long did it take for all of that oil to drain? And I love the spark plug tip. I will have to keep that in mind if I am ever without my spark plug socket. :-) Another wonderful video. Well done. Regards to Tosh!
+SoopaBee Thanks Mr Bee! It did take a while but we had to do it completely cold. The spark plug socket trick is definitely one I'll try to remember. It worked a treat!
Surprised you didn't have a temporary fuel source, especially for when you balance the carbs. I use an old petrol lawnmower tank, myself.
Will you also be doing the valve clearance in a video?
+Sunfrancks There is a rattle that we need to look at but it may be a back-pressure issue from the damaged exhausts. If it doesn't require it, we'll be leaving the engine alone.
Was that an editing glitch or did you really replace the sump plug AFTER pouring in 4L of oil? Also, you need to improve the ventilation as I think the fumes are sending you two do-lally. Neat trick with the plugs
+Professor So THAT's why we got 16 litres in :-D
No, just checking the tightness.
You guys are nuts ! I lost the rubber grommet from my spark plug thingy years ago. Thank god it's only got one candle......
I''m not going into my OCD oil change régime. Another time perhaps......
+vitaly deuterium Video!
Still have to prove to you that turps is the ultimate and that it doesn't damage paint !
hello from greece. first, where is the number 12? second, nice work and tthanks for your time. third, wd 40 ok its comon to my country too, i want to see the other stuff you use. and last but not least the frame of my tdm is... (how can a greek without know much english make you understand him) like... (not shiny for sure) when rain is running at a dirty wall and leave a mark as a crooked line.
+Νικος Κουτσης Does it polish away?
Poor Kev, lol, when Tosh loves someone what else can ya do, lol, good tips there bud, RSM8.
+Skeggy Cruiser He has a new admirer :-D
Straight jacket time! :)
+terry boardman :-D
So, why did you not take the oil filter out during the draining process tut tut
+Suznet 555 You mean while the oil was draining out? There was fun to be had instead!
Is there timing chain adjuster or is it automatic?
I wouldn't like to say for sure but a few on TDM forums have gone looking for manual adjusters and said they can't find one.
@@CalmBiker thanks for answering I’m at a loss myself use to pushrod v twins ..... and your videos seem to be the best on Tdms
I feel it should be adjustable
I'm sure you could have used Mrs Tash's hair dryer in the oil filler hole, to warm the oil enough to drip out the drain plug faster.
We are brave but not that brave! :-D
What do the neighbors think when you two get started ?
You sure are a couple of clever silly buggers though !!
+Volgnit I hate to think, although one of them did provide us with a free pair of safety glasses, which we've lost already.
at one stage it looked like you were giving Tosh a good service..lol
+bigbadbikerbaz :-o
Hello ! 4L oil in engine ? in book 3.5L ! or not ....
+Aleksej Vendts According to the service manual, 3.9l, assuming you are replacing the filter too.
When can I book mine in? ;-p
+wyvernbiker Any time you like Keith, though you need to understand that it will be with us for a long time :-)
cookoo, cookoo : D
+sharky09000 Bwuhahahaha!
I am beginning to get slightly concerned about you pair.
+Lady Hepcat. We need help!
+CalmBiker I don't think there's any hope!
Lose the gay jokes?
+Kevin Chamberlain It's an in-joke.
CalmBiker Well, alright then!
