Nice technique! Working the clothes with bit of biodegradable soap beforehand (done in the shallows) might help too, with the full "lazy man's wilderness laundry" technique you use right afterwards. I used a similar, but reverse technique on the recent 14,000km motorcycle trip, by using a mesh laundry bag on the top box, which helped accelerate the drying by using the wind caused by the movement of the bike.
That's a good idea...soap would help, though many hours of water washing by does a lot of cleaning by itself. Using a mesh laundry bag on a motorcycle as a clothes-drying technique sounds effective!
