Sounion and the temple of Poseidon

We visited the archaeological site of Cape Sounion, the temple to Poseidon and the other remains, in addition to telling 3 curiosities...
Cape Sounion was a key site in ancient times to guard the sea routes both to Athens and to the famous silver mines of Lavrio, the reason for Athens' wealth.
Today it is one of the most popular tourist attractions near the Greek capital, promoted by travel guides as the ideal place to go to enjoy the sunset.
