Redwood Empire makes some banger bottles. I need to get me a bottle of their Bourye, heard nothing but great things about it. Also hoping they do a batch 2 on all their special release bottles this year.
That was my first bottle of Redwood. I’m excited to see how it tastes. I’m going to dive into the Redwood bottles and eventually get them all

I like Pipe Dream but Lost Monarch is more my jam, def recommend. Really wanna get their cask strengths.

Great bottles. The Redwood Empire Pipe Dream is similar to Buffalo Trace. If you can find the Redwood Empire Pipe Dream Cask Strength, you will not be disappointed. 🥃

These are some pretty interesting picks. If you end up liking the Barrell 5yr, we highly recommend trying the Armida. It's a crazy flavor bomb and absolutely delicious! We would gladly trade you a pour for a taste of the Chattanooga Founder's 😉

Need to try some of those. I just finished my Redwood Empire Lost Monarch to quickly get rid of it. It's good and now i get to enjoy the cask strength version. It's much richer and fuller. The Russel 10 year had became one of my most enjoyed after it rested a bit. Got into Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit CN E (Camp Nelson Wharhouse E) recently, its good and supposedly some great Russel Reserve Private selection, 13 year, Single Rickhouse come from CN. 😉

Do a blind review with regular double oak woodford and the store pick double oak woodford.
Love the Pipedream and really want the cask strength Pipedream as well as the Wheated they just released.

Being in the UK I never get to try any store-picks unless I can get one at auction & that is very rare. Even so the regular Woodford DO is a wonderful sipper especially for the price as it shades some far more expensive bottles in the depth of it`s flavour. I haven`t tried any of your selection but I can recommend Barrell products as I`ve had `Seagrass`, I`m sure `Founders` will impress. I managed to get at auction a Sagamore product recently namely the `Sherry Finnish` rye which I wanted to try as I really enjoy sherried Scottish whisky, it certainly didn`t disappoint with tremendous flavour & a quality luscious oily mouthfeel, so please give any Sagamore a go. Btw, I`m happy for you in the way your channel is gathering apace in subscribers, you deserve it with your enthusiasm. Finally though you`ve got to stop promoting Evan Williams BIB....we know already!

Most WF double oaked bottles are Cholcolate bombs,...That pipe dream is amazing but the pipe dream cask strength even better!! Barrel is like bardstown and doesn't miss!!! I love the Chattanooga 111 and rye but havent seen that one but id grab it if i seen it for sure

I really appreciate your enthusiasm and personality so I've followed a number of your videos, but if you're looking for some constructive feedback like you mentioned at the end, I would say less repetition. Sometimes saying the same thing a number of times just adds length and nothing new which might make some tune out, like repeating the bottles the comments chose 3-4 times. Also, I notice your pronunciations of whiskeys either isn't always correct or changes a number of times through the video (not this one, but in the past). It's not an end-of-the-world thing, but it can come off like you haven't taken the minimal time to really know the bottle you're reviewing/discussing. Sometimes it's just little things, but I appreciate what you do and follow along. Hopefully some of that helps improve your channel.

I’m just here to second that Barrell Foundation selection. My bottle was good on the fresh crack but has gotten better over time. I get red apple notes on it. Hope you enjoy.

Don’t sniff the cork. Just nose the whiskey. You only need to inspect the cork if you think the cork is bad.

I find it hard to pass up store picks and have yet to hit a bad one. If you are branching out into new whiskey, try the Wyoming Whiskey. It has a great price, plenty of flavor, and drinks more like a higher proof pour.

Nice choices! I haven’t had the Chattanooga yet. One of my favorite stores did a barrel pick of Woodford Reserve Double Oak. One of the guys that works there said it was the best he’s tasted. They said they should have it late June or early July.

I would also add to that under $40 list Noble Oak Double Oak and Old Grand-Dad 114. Both really good pours and great values for the price. And if you can find the ASW Fiddler Unison out of Georgia, pick it up. It normally runs for around $40 depending on what part of the country you're in.
Keep on keeping on, having moved from Ky to Tn 2 years ago, it’s eye opening as far as prices. I enjoy your commentary on different bottles. The Chattanooga market is definitely higher priced than Ky. You’ve helped me be a little more discerning with my selections. 👍
