Lebron was horrible in his first finals appearance, AD was a regular season star as a number one option. JA is never healthy, Shai is showing he ain’t that guy right now, Ant is on an absolutely stacked team and still won’t make it out of the 2nd round. Tatum at 23 dropped 46 against the defending champs on their home court in an elimination game then closed them out in 7. Played through a wrist injury in the finals that required surgery but no one seems to want to mention that. Take all those guys be my guest Celtics fans will enjoy seeing Tatum in the finals or conference finals every year for the foreseeable future lol

The NBA cannot afford to have Ja Morant and his type to become superstars. A ton of people (including me) will just stop watching. If they keep putting him in front of a mic, the league will be hurt. Yes, a certain demographic loves him, but multi-billion dollar TV contracts demand wide audiences, and Ja is a turn-off for > 75% of viewers.

A lot of players have had big playoff performances. Tatum's stats in the playoffs are not remotely that of a superstar. He's never shot above 45% in a playoff run

The Knicks finished 2 in the East while dealing with injuries to many of their starters. The culture and smart trades has brought out the best in the players on the team. They have progressed to this point while missing an All NBA-All Star player. The Knicks current roster when healthy can contend for a Championship.
