The swat team scenario was cool as hell. You can just let them do the work to get silent assassin too. Wish we had something like this in the hitman reboot!
True. That's what the should've done for Hawkes Bay mission. Would've livened it up a little.
If you let them do the work, your target gonna get away on the chopper as far as i remember.

We did have this in the Hitman reboot, but instead of swat members its the target killing another target which is kinda similar.
You can get a sniper to take out the targets in Mumbai, which is kinda cool.

wow! I've had his game since the good old PS2 days and I never knew about the helicopter? I'm enjoying these playthroughs, they're played with style.
The helicopter can take a long time to arrive,but as long as you have the detinator in your hand you are safe and won't gain high notoriety
Stealing a SWAT uniform will summon the heli at once. I believe you can knock out the sniper on the roof and shoot Boris as he makes his escape. Alternatively, join the raid on the ship, kill Boris, and steal the heli (as you said).

What I did here is i took him out using a sniper from the roof ahahah! Clean kill
weak, i sniped him by my silenced silverballer! hard af.
BRO, when I played u could just get into the bar at the start, hire a girl to distract the man outside and then put tracker to his car. that's where the nuclear bomb is.
Disarming the bomb is much more dangerous than holding the detonator.. because you can only get on board to the ship with either enemy or swat suit.. in both ways it is better to wear a swat suit and wait for them to clear everyone 😎

I use this technique for this level..
* Run to the police gate leftmost side and sneak into the police barrack locker room by crouching
* In the locker change to police dress
* Walk through back door to cargo area and turn right towards a small house
* Inside change to ship worker clothes drop your weapons
* Go to the dock entry where Boris guards will frisk you
*As you have dropped your weapons they will let you go
*Walk to the nearest left lane and open the warehouse door
* Quickly ascend the stairs and change to clothes of Boris' guards.
*Now, walk out of warehouse and walk to the ship
* You can easily get up the ship without any one stopping you
* Up the ship, go right past a walking guard and take left
* Climb the ladder up one level
* Then walk right and enter the door
* Enter the first left side door
* Hide behind the wooden shaft
* Wait for Boris... He will walk into that room alone
* While he will be bending over radio, sneak behind and fibre wire him
* Time it right otherwise he will be aware and call the guards
* After you kill him walk out
*Go to that small house where you changed from police cloth to ship worker
*Change back to police dress
*Walk through the front gate casually
*You can even slide run.. no one will bate an eye.
Out of all the ways I have done, this one is the fastest and neat ways of completing the level with Silent Assassin rating.

Such a great level. Hitman games in those days were so good; so many missions, such variety. Nowadays it's just a cash grab with very limited number of missions and locations.

I had to google this because when I did this mission when I went onto the boat all the swat team were frozen in place. I think it was because I had a police outfit on and not a swat outfit. This is probably the easiest mission in the game (not including the first)
In my version no matter how long I wait the helicopter never arrives for some reason. I have to get back to the place you start in.
+Peter Riad That can happen, but it can sometimes take a very long time for it to arrive and you can wait without anything going wrong, which is handy. But if not, just take the tunnel under ground which leads back.

Yeah, the helicopter doesn't land in my playthrough, either. I have to run all the way back to exit point while holding the detonator. Still got SA, somehow.
The helicopter is known to be bugged on every platform. Just run off the ship with the detonator in hand in case you need to escape
Man decides to buy q nuclear weapon,. I'm struggling to buy lunch.
I do it completely different. I enter the brothel, go up and kill the Long haired guy who is waiting for the balding biker. Once I do that, the SWAT team engage straightaway. I then hide behind the pool table, the balding guy sees the corpse and just casually walks back, as he walks back down make sure he doesn't see you on that floor or even stairs, once in the club u can run again. Then I proceed to the Police station. You'll have to wait till the cop comes out the second time, only then enter. Wear the uniform and go to the first hall where the swat guy in this game was drugged. search for a ladder going underground in the hall, it's somewhere near the room u entered the hall from. After that run all the way straight in the end (there'll be a path in the right side on the map, which seems like the end DOnt go there, just straight last ladder to the left. go up and enter the room and go out from it from the other, then on the other side go up the stairs once up, go straight to a closed room ahead. Inside a ladder will be there go up, and use stealth walk, syringe the Swat Sniper take the gun and then shoot the Dude!!, go back mission accomplished!!
I never understood what causes the detonator to go off and detonate the nuke. Does it require just shooting him or shooting the detonator? Because he clearly dropped it (lol) but it didn't go off.
When the target dies, you have a little time to grab the detonator before the bomb goes off.
This is my favourite mission
Seriously this is what I did on this mission.
1.Distracted the goon from the car and placed the tracker.
2. Got the police uniform from the toll booth officer.
3.Went through the sewer to the ship's sewer opening.
(By now the bomb was armed)
4.Stood near a container from where I could see the *balcony type* (I don't know what they call it )of the 2nd deck of the ship.
(Neither helicopter demand was made nor the swat team attack the ship still)
5.The target came in the *balcony type* and I shot the whole mag of silverballer.s.
Target Neutraized.
6.Went back through sewer.
Got a Silent Assassin Rating.
*This was my first try.*
Edit:It didn't say me to turn off the bomb.Why?
I also am now confused. Bomb was armed, target just killed, and nothing exploded. Maybe bomb was a bluff?

I just shot the guy, and I disarmed the nuke, but I take it the SWAT guys don't know that because when they were alerted I heard someone say "All units! Hold your fire!"
In codename 47 this mission was named plutonium runs loose
For some reason my shit is glitched on professional difficulty and the Nuke keeps setting off even though I’ve gone through this mission on normal, expert, and now professional. Is there something I’m missing, do I have to fiber wire him at a certain angle. I’m confused and lost, is my save fucked?
Realisticly this mission is cool bcs he did the job for the SWAT team and for himself as a hitman
