Was there 2 weeks ago and there was about 400 between 2 groynes! It was awesome. Was there in late November too and saw the mums with their babies. Truely an awesome sight and an absolute privilege 🥰🥰🥰
Donna Nook in Lincolnshire is the best place in which to see seals. During December they come inland onto the beach in order to give birth and they lay virtually against the fence separating them from members of the public.
@@jackryanmiller it’s my pleasure. Three of us went there for a few hours last December and it was very good. There are also volunteer seal wardens to answer any questions. If you decide to visit, wear plenty of layers as it gets very cold there. There are also no cafe or toilet facilities at the location.
Just commented on your Winterton on sea video. A trip to Horsey Gap and to see the seals is on my to do list while on hols in Winterton in 10 days. I've never seen a seal colony in person, only on wildlife documentaries. Can't wait. Thanks for the loo tip, i wont drink the day i go to Horsey! LOL Can you pay for parking on your card or app? Or is it cash only? (I've been caught out before by car parks that only take cash) Thanks again 👍
Ah thanks so much, this was honestly such a nice place to visit and seeing seals in person is much better than I could put across in the video!! I paid for the parking by contactless card 😁have a great trip
To stay at least 10 m from seals as you say is much too close. Being that close causes stress to them and can scare them back into the water before they had a chance to rest and recharge. Also, that is close enough for them to attack a person. Please reconsider your advice and change it to at least 30 m or even better, 50 m. Animals are not toys.
Thank you, I was directly quoting the guidance from their official website and the guidelines from Friends of Horsey Seals which states 10m. There are wardens on the beach at all times making sure that they are complied with.
Very cool, I had no idea you could see Seals in the UK like that.
Yeh man it was incredible I’ve never actually seen anything like it ha ha

Aw that’s so great, I would absolutely love to visit in the winter when the seal pups are there too 🤩
This is too cute!
Blakeney point, you need to get a boat from Morston quay ….unless you want a long walk.
Lovely , cheers

@@jackryanmiller Thank you. Your video's confirmed I'd picked the perfect place.

The seals that have passed just get left on the beach, no one clears them up. It stinks the beach out and the RSPCA etc wont take the dead seals away.
That is sad to hear
@@jackryanmiller unfortunately it's how nature works!
Why would they remove them - they are food for other animals.
