Amazing edit amazing color grade I hope I can get to this level of commitment. I got one of these cameras because of the raw recording abilities but I’m afraid to shoot in raw because I never touch my footage so it all ends up in only 1080p. These videos keep me wanting to be more filmic. It takes so much patience. You’re amazing keep going!!!
thanks ! you can get good results and keep a simple worflow. Mine is kinda easy, i just correct pixels focus and sharpness in MLVP APP, export SLOG3 profile on an prores 422 LT file. I do the grade on Premiere with a lut for the SLOG3 -> REC709, and then the base color tool to tweak the colors further. I'm still a newbie but all i've learned come from youtube (zeeke, sergio russo and many more). If you struggle there is a great community on the "MLV RAW ON EOS M" facebook group. Keep trying it's worth the effort :)
EOS-M super 16 crop mod? I also want to achieve Tarkovsky's style. I bought bmcc 2.5 and small LOMO 1-22-1/Ro61/1-50-6 lenses/ My idea is to shoot RAW and emulate 8mm film in Davinci. I think I can get Tarkovsky's support.
yes EOS-M crop mood (crop factor is 3.28 in this case). I didn't know about the LOMOS lenses, they seems very intresting! it's like "helios style" with more wide angle right ? Tarkowski's Stalker and his plaroids work made me want to start making videos. I already had an Helios from a Zenit E i bought 25 years ago (still making photos with it !) The soviet lenses seems the way to go. I tried to emulate 8mm too, that works very well, hope you'll share your results !
@@rudywarhole Yes, that's right! I also thought about the visual style of the Stalker. To do this, I went through a lot of footage from different movie cameras and came to the conclusion that digital sensors are not suitable for subsequent emulation in post-production. However, I came across test videos from the bmpcc og camera on the TH-cam channel "iso 800". The video is called "Bmpcc og | 8mm film emulation | Davinci Resolve 18 tutorial | Cinematografy" I bought a bmcc 2.5k because I know that it is the same sensor but with more convenient functions for me, and it also covers LOMO lenses. As for the design of LOMO lenses, yes, some of them have a biotar scheme and twist the background. I also liked them because they can mask a digital image at a wide angle.
@@IlyaPodnebesmiy i checked the IS800 channel, there is some awesome footage! I don't use Resolve (yet...) but love to see others shows their tricks on it as i can learn general rules and transpose them to Premiere (with a bit of extra work). Thank you for all the informations, now Lomo lenses are on my radar too :D
@@rudywarhole In the course of my searches, I found that the most suitable lens for simulating a film image is lomo 1-22-1 f2.8. Because due to the peculiarities of the chemical illumination of the front lens, it creates the effect of defective film development. This is when a light of a slightly different color appears on one part of the frame, as if flowing down from top to bottom. Fortunately, this lens is the cheapest lomo of all. He covers super 35.
@@IlyaPodnebesmiy i watched some footage with it, looks really nice, seems to have a blue coating as every videos has a strong blue flare in the middle. The 50mm looks gorgeous too. Are they M39 mount only ?
Love it!
This color is suit for horor movie.. Like the conjuring, very nice

@ thank you so much for the break down!! I will try!!
Tarkovsky style, 3D pop effect, Krasnogorsk effect. Сооl!!
thank you, really apreciate the compliment :)
The dark nature in this video is great. This track has so much depth. It’s clear you’ve put a lot of thought and heart into every detail.
Thank you for the kind words !
This video is an art piece❤. Common TH-cam make it viral

Большое спасибо ! возможно, вы сможете продать М6 и купить М, оно того стоит, если вы мотивированы.
Hey can you tell me what resolution you shot it with and aspect ratio ?
Sure! 1X3 mode, UHD (1280X2160) 16:9 aspect ratio.
