She's the most complex and broken character I've ever seen... She's the villain She's wrong but still I liked the way she slayed it ✨... I always felt that this hard world made her a bitch but being a bitch was better than being a victim for her and... she did ....
I think she wanted love, especially from him!! He was her first and apparently only love!!

man these two are the loneliest characters I have ever watched. They are the perfect example of the importance of having a supportive environment during childhood. A lot of realizations in this drama. I didn’t binge watch it. But I’m sure that I wouldn’t easily forget it.
I feel sad for her even if he didn't love her but I wish he could at least recognized her feeling for him, she truly loved him

My two fav character died in this drama. Soohyun and Sunah. I just loved them. Sunah's character was so pitiful. She was so lonely, noone was in her side. Even jaehee said that they had business relationship. She was totally alone. Yohan had elijah though. And I think everyone knew that sunah was not going to shoot kang yohan in the end. I knew that she was gonna kill herself. She won this game , though she died she was a queen till the end. She was shocked when they announced that yh was dead. Though she said it but she never wanted him to die. She tried so hard to keep kang yohan on her side but nope. Maybe yohan was the only person who told her that it's okay(they showed it in the end).
wow that was such a incredible tribute to their relationship. Sun Ah was a very interesting villain, I was really blown away. She was as smart as him and on her plans, watching them play this "game" was like seeing who would lead the dance this time, each of them getting a steap ahead of eachother -if you understand what I mean hahah- Her love for him -along with her own loneliness- became very twisted and lead her to this.

She was in fact much smarter than him, from the very beginning she was the one always in control and even her death was from her own hand, not from his.
Her character was honestly the best thing about this show to me, don’t get me wrong the show as a whole was amazing and just mind blowing at certain parts but she was the stand out for me along side the main male lead.
Her character had everything the complexity, a purpose and most importantly she had this hunger that lead to her downfall in the end but if there was one thing about her that stood out was that even in her last moments she stayed true to herself and what she stood for, it was clear she hated them “high society” peopleI however she also knew that she had to be be in that circle as it was the only way for her to escape from the poverty and her obsession with all things that glitters, wealth and power was something she could only get through being among the rich.
I knew that she would never accept his offer to come with him nor would she let herself be caught and put in prison so death was ultimately her only other option but honestly as manipulative as she was she was so pitiful especially in his presence and if we’re being honest he was by far the more manipulative when it came to their relationship dynamic because he knew that she loved him and he would use that to his advantage.
Her love for him was real no matter how u wanna look at it even if she wasn’t the best at showing it, they were both messed up and playing with each other and that’s why they worked so well together but you could also say that that’s why they couldn’t be together they were to similar in a different way but still similar.
Honestly that one sense where she told him he should be a little nicer to her was just plain said like that ish came from her soul. It was clear she meant something to him, she was important to him that much was clear now as to whether he loved her or not is debatable but I would say that deep down he did even if it was just a little. I think she did love him but it seemed like she was more in love with the idea of being with him it’s like wanting the one thing in her life she couldn’t have and I think that the thrill off the cat and mouse game they were playing made her fell as though she was special to him and that she was the only person that could truly understand him.
On a positive note their scenes together was like one of the things I looked forward to in this drama they had chemistry. Like when she died I actually cried like bitch I wanted them together so bad 😭😭😭😭😭😭

I love Jung Sun Ah so much. It's one of the first kdrama villain to make me feel so much. Everyone is making her relationship with Yo Han a ship but it seems to me it was much more complex than that. Yo Han represented everything she wanted and dreamed of making her. But she also despised him and wanted revenge on his way of acting towards her. I mean it was meant very obvious during the show that Sun Ah had has issues with men before and I don't think Yo Han acted in a very different way as other men toward her. But in the end, because everything started with them, she still deluded herself into thinking that they were the same and maybe could work towards the same goal, and she didn't want to let go of this fantasy until the very end. I don't know, but I just love how different their relationship is from other main protagonist/villain out there. And I just love Sun ah's character so much. In the end, as badass as she was, she was still driven by very human emotions and it made her almost relatable. I'm sorry I don't have anywhere else to vent about her but I finished the show today and I love her so freaking much I'm not ready to let go T-T

The only woman that actually loved Yo Han in her toxic and twisted way was Sun Ah! I don't hate her felt sorry for her instead. She was broken and unloved, all she ever cared for to survive and Yo Han! She could've killed him but always choose not to. She wanted love and kindness from him though she was too damaged to expect any. I was actually expecting her to be the mastermind for the church fire maybe cause I really wanted her to be the ultimate villain and for me to hate her. Was a bit disappointed at the end how they didn't give her much screen time. Still I wished she was in jail and not dead at the end maybe I really wanted her to survive in spite of every evil thing that she did to survive! They had such amazing chemistry! Great actors! I would miss them!
Her character was so complex,I really liked her. I think her lie,when she was asked about lost things was understandable if we consider that she was a child with bad family history. And also I want to add this point that at the last episode,she could but didn't tell Elijah the truth.
Yohan is a complicated character and Jisung really slayed it. And Sun Ah the most iconic villain that people can't hate but fell in love and adore her. Kim Min Jung also slayed it. Best KDrama ever. #Jisung #Kimminjung #YohanSunAh
Even though i hated her at the last episode her death was kinda sad , i know she did so many terrible things but when she said she really loved him that was sad to watch but also good for her all those crimes she did...still i love her😅

Until now, I still agree that they are perfect for each other IF ONLY Sun-ah wasn't like that. Both of them only have theirselves, very lonely and needs love from people. They both suit each other. In the end, I was really saddened when Sun-Ah commited suicide. I knew that Sun-Ah actually DID love Yo Han. It's just that.... they are not destined to be together. But, the world knew, they were meant to meet. After I binge watched this series, I realized alot of things. One of it is.... Not everyone is born to be a villain. Nevertheless, wish we could see an alternative ending where Sun-ah and Yo Han lived happy.

I think Many people think sun ha actually loved yohan. Nope she didn't "love" him. Yohan n sun ha have one thing in common that they can be ruthless no matter what. Thats why Sun ha liked him coz He gave her sense of familiar character. She likes to play with him coz only he can challenge her. Sun ha likes shiny things as yohan says. we all know when it will come to shiny things and yohan, She will always choose shinning coz she worked too hard to get there even its lonely there but her ambition will never let her accept that she can be with yohan. Dude she stab him to her pin when he was choking. She left him shot and most important she killed his people. She is obsessed to play with him just coz she thinks he is like her but yohan has moral compass and she is doesn't!
well we all have diff perspective and it doesn't have to be same....some people see things as black and white and once they decide Sun ah is a classic villain who kills people they don't give her any benefit of the doubt. She is still a human who was lonely and her goal wasn't power for the sake of it, she wanted to be at the same playing field as Yohan who was born into wealth and status (even though he suffered for it as well). In her mind she wanted to rise form being a poor maid to a position that deserved him and since she is also a human she may have gotten carried away at times along the way. Also the people she feel sorry for are those who remind her of herself as a young girl with abusive parent. lol Yohan's moral compass just involved killing anyone that hurts his family so he isnt any better!

Yohan can also kill in the disguise of law just to get his revenge and SunAh kills for her ambition.. their only difference is SunAh can kill innocent people while Yohan only kills bad people (still debatable coz I think he let that innocent grandpa die just to bring someone to court and punish them)
Kdramas always give me either a 2nd lead syndrome or villain synopsis but here
... idk what I should call this... for me she isn't a villain of course she made some disastrous choices but if you've notices the small details you'd know she's a victim too... in childhood her mother was her oy family and she literate abused her daughter... and when she gave lecture to small girls ... she said they'll find some horrible old men in this world who'll try to take advantage but sun ah told girls to not become a victim and instead get through them and find something they can hold against those who try to take advantage of them... the way she did with the old chairman... in thw first episode when that old chaiye met the female judge he was literally groping her shoulder and it was sun ah who told the old man although in a polite manner but still and in the after party dinner too where that old man was assaulting that waitress it was sun ah who made him kneel... and lasty when she realized what was actually happening in the hospital in the last episodes regret falls upon her she was already regretting when she asked jae hee about the neighbourhood where she grew up but in the end it was judge kang's death news that broke her down... she was just lonely ... she was a maniac.. true but it wasn't her fault that she turned out as one.... She's so broken that i can't hate but i can't either defend her wrong choices either.... she's way too complicated all I can say is that... we should pay attention to people around us... because society too plays a huge role in making people like sun ah
I am going through comments to see if anyone remembers where the housekeeper asked sun ah that the things keep missing in the house these days and she turned it around that Yohan is coming out of the basement more and more these days like it's his fault or something and he heard her while he was standing outside the room. In my point of view, *it was there that she lost her image and trust in front of Yohan*, she was the only person around his age who showed kindness to him other than his brother but she lost it in that moment. While she was the one who encouraged him in the first place to get out she will look out for his father's return. furthermore, she stole the cross despite his warning.
That's why he said in his office that she has not changed and was still that little thief she was in the past.
Yeah she loved him and wanted his care in return and she knew he was using her and she let him use her to achieve his goal. and she was angry at him so she killed.... two people she should not have killed.
But he gave her warnings on multiple occasions and told her to stop. When she heard that he had died in prison she knew that she has lost the one that made her feel something she felt the heartache despite the fact she said it was ok and that she was the one who led him to die.
In the end, it was shown that she had a bottom line. she died as she lived on her terms even when he gave her one more chance.
she is a character that left me feeling so much, contempt, pity, sorrow and longing along with many more emotions

Watching it back I feel like Yohan used her liking him to gain whatever he needed, when she gave him everything, like jumping off the building, she thought he would give her the same. But he didn't, his priorities were everything but her and when she realised it that the only way she can get his attention is to hurt the people around him, she did just that. I feel for her because all of this to stop took only Yohan giving her positive attention but he never did and when she takes the gun, you can see how annoyed she is to die with those unworthy people around her but then she looks back at Yohan and ignores the rest. Him telling her they should go together didn't sound sincere but just a desperate plea for her not to kill him. She decideds that her love is to great to watch Yohan die so she pulls the trigger never removing her eyes from Yohan. You can kind of see his face fall, I don't think he expected her to pull the trigger on herself.
You are a psychopath liking this woman in this case, who just was obsessed with a man, killing people to hurt him.

I feel, Yo han may not have loved Sun Ah in a romantic sort of way, and maybe even despised her a little, but he understood her. Even that was something she never got from anyone else other than Yo han: understanding. They understood each other because they were kind of alike. And, when Yo han said he pitied her, he was not being sarcastic, he really did pity her. I don't think 'pity' is always a negative emotion. It was the closest thing to compassion and empathy, at least to someone like Yo han who definitely has sociopathic tendencies. But while they are both so much alike, they took different paths. Yo han could have been a shameless power-grabber if he wanted to. He had the money and the wherewithal. But he chose not to. That made the chasm between them wider and wider. It was not because of class differences. I don't think Yo han even cared about that and he uses the 'housemaid' angle only to get a rise out of Sun Ah. The more Sun Ah struggled desperately to reach the top and burn everything down that gets in her way, the further she seems to push Yo han away. Her blunder is that, in her hubris, she thought Yo han was exactly like her. But he was not. He could have but he chose not to. He made all the predictions of his father, his self-righteous classmate wrong and he grew a conscience. The means he chose to fight his adversary were exactly the same as chosen by Sun Ah: deceit, lies and manipulation. But their purposes were completely different. The ending couldn't justify the means: one would say, and that is why Yo han (as he himself correctly predicted) remained a 'villain' in everyone's eyes: he remained the devil judge.

If only she kills all of the bad guys before she kills herself, she will be one of the most badass, twisted k-drama villainess. She is already fascinating. Imagine if the final showdown is only between her, Yohan and Gaon ( probably will be standing between them ready to sacrifice himself) with the blood and body counts of her killing and then she is like, well I will go on my own terms. But then again, it probably will steal Yohan's moment so.....still, she only shoots one trash before killing herself is such a waste opportunity.

I think if Yoo Han gave her a chance (not romantically) , she would've changed for the better.
I know she killed 2 of his people. But Yoo Han never acknowledged her even slightest bit, from the start. She did what she had to do to survive.
In the last episode, we can see there was still humanity left in her. She wasn't actually a monster. (The hospital scene where they were doing experiments on kids and other people). She cried for the girl and many other girls, who she thought were like her.
I really hoped she got a happy ending. Maybe went to jail to pay for what she did and then got out, maybe met with Yoo Han and Elijah, lived happily after that. But no. She died.
This is the only thing I disliked about this show. Also the fact that Gaon was left alone.
He would have given her a chance if she hadnt killed K. That was it.
Yohan never really went after her. Yes he used her to get to Cha Kyunghee but he never intended to take out Jun ah. She was impulsive and flipped out and killed his ally. No chance of any kind of relationship platonic or otherwise. Yohan promised she would die miserable and alone and she does. Surrounded by the garbage power and position she had worked a lifetime to embrace and to dominate, while the true unreachable star for her looked upon her with contempt. The same contempt and regret she felt for herself, allying with such trash in the first place. She died miserable since what she had which was everything, she realised she never really wanted. What she had always wanted, she could never have.
I understand, I would rather see her in jail too, but from the moment she asked for gun I just knew. Yeah, Ga On was left alone that was painful. C'mon they even made Judge Oh leave him. I disliked her character but I would be actualy happy if at least stayed by Ga On's side.
@@denniall5297 ah- here we go.. she wasn't normal since she was a kid. Like I'm not saying she's abnormal or anything .. but she was on survival mode since the beginning. And not all of her actions are justified but most of them are.
And neither was yoo han. He was kinda on the survival mode as well. But he had his brother with him and then Elijah. Sun ah had no one.
Yes she killed the guy, it was the last straw. But she did try a lot before that too. And this show isn't romance, so we can't expect blind love etc from her. She was the antagonist. The villian.
What I'm saying is that in this drama the villian could've changed for the better in the long run, if given a chance.

@@toshikadwivedi7850 look, she killed his man. And Soohyun. Trying to handwave that away is pointless. Yohan gave her a chance even knowing her past as a multiple murderer. Yes in the long run things could have changed IF she hadnt done the killing of K and later ordered the death of Soohyun. That's her choice and leads to her tragic lonely end. I do feel some sympathy for her at the end but as in most tragedies the seeds of their end are always self inflicted.

Honestly, they have to complete the drama and made the character like that, quite cold hearted.
If, if and only if she had not been stealing things and be honest to him, he would have definitely accepted her love.

I think if he had tried harder with her and even worked with her they could have gotten his revenge. He just did not trust her and with good reason.

Because she stole things, especially the necklace, and she also told lies to the senior maid about him got out of his room, all that made him believe she was not a good innocent person. That's just Yohan's way to take revenge on someone. He can be ruthless.

It is interesting, what people understand as love, and fantasise here.
Also killing themselves by suicide after doing criminal things, or being under pressure by the SKorean society is typical for South Koreans, especially in the entertainment industry.
South Koreans judge their actors, singers, entertainers quickly without compassion, nor evidence, when they are accused of wrong doings by the media, vicious “friends”, past schoolmates and so on...
Despite l like charismatic actor Il Sung This series is too artificial, and unbelievable even as intended dystopian - baby faces as judges, and silly actresses as cops. Ridiculous.
