I am not ok with you guys treating the turtles like that. You should leave them in the nest for them to live successfully, their mother is probably so worried about them! So please treat the turtles a little nicer.
Reminds me of a vid that's been around for years --- a woman is squatting in a pond, bangs on a can, and hundreds of turtles come to her. She scrapes the algae off their shells. People in the gullible, sentimental west are all "Awwww, oooh, look, they love her, she loves them, she's cleaning their shells"..."Pretty!!!!".....when of course the banging of the can is a signal for food, and the turtles themselves are obviously being fattened for the stew pot!!!
