I burst into tears when she spoke about having a daughter. So many people tell me I won’t be able to have children and I’ve been suffering with endometriosis since I was 11 years old , I’m 21 now ready to make a change in my diet for the betterment of my overall health. I can not thank you enough for sharing your story Dr Asha you have helped me so so much and given me so much hope. ❤️

@jadetootla5034 If you want to have children, I would suggest making having children a priority and beginning to try to get pregnant early. Not only are you most fertile, but you will also have a longer runway to try. Also, if you have an endometriosis excision surgery (and do not have any reproductive organs removed), you are at your most fertile following healing (assuming all obstructions/adhesions have been removed and organs have been put back in place) so this is a great time to try! Remember, the disease is progressive, so it’s best to get *busy* (pun intended)!before it gets to your tubes (if ever). Surgeons are more inclined to do the difficult and often unsuccessful work of trying to save fallopian tubes only when you are on the younger side and less so when you are older. (They will just say, “Sorry they couldn’t be saved.”) Still, even if they try, any damage to them could leave in vitro as the only option for getting pregnant with your own eggs. Keep in mind, they will advise and push for someone else’s eggs if they deem you/your eggs “too old” (above 35!!!) My best to you on this journey. My advice is to be proactive about your care-ultrasounds and MRIs as often as every 6 months if possible to see “how bad” it is and make decisions accordingly, and be intentful with your relationships. ❤️ My advice comes from learning from my own mistakes. 🙏🏻

Every endo sufferer has unique dietary needs. There are many links to gluten and endometriosis so that is something to keep in mind if a sufferer is considering going vegan. You can search online for studies that link the two. The following have been useful recommendations to control estrogen dominance which is a marker for endometriosis: DIM supplementation, eat cruciferous vegetables, consider taking iodine (unless you are hyperthyroid), stay away from sugar and refined grains, eat organic, grass-fed/grass-finished and wild-caught, avoid pesticides and plastics. Personally I have found that juicing organic celery in the mornings helps tremendously. I even had endometriomas shrink on MRI after 6 mos of consistent celery juicing. I hope all females suffering get better care and feel better!❤

It's so interesting to read about your endometriomas shrinking because I don't see a lot of info about this. I had surgery in 2020 and the endometriosis has come back fully since June. My doctor says it's because I stopped taking the hormones but I also remember eating a lot of gluten in the summer. I am a vegan who doesn't drink so I always thought I was doing enough, but after going off gluten the flare-ups have become less, but still, the pain is always lingering. I am on a lot of supplements now and I wonder if I take my diet more seriously (no sugar at all for example) if I can reduce my endometriomas...my doctor (an endo specialist) says a good diet def helps but will not suppress the endometriomas from growing. I am now wondering if I should keep on trying the diet and wait for improvements or do the surgery again and then do the diet very strictly...

@@margaritamaximova4556 a friend of mine took cruceriferous vege tablets and shrunk her ovarian cyst and it partly detached from her ovary, in its shrinking process. So the surgeon could remove it without removing the ovary. Im not sure what type of cyst. I have read about other women shrinking their endometriomas through diet and excercise. I have got an endometrioma, 5 cm. I am going to try to shrink it naturally through diet and excercise, and get ultrasounds to monitor its size.

I have endometriosis and have been vegan for 26 years. The thing that made the biggest difference was adding spirulina to my diet. My unbearable menstrual cramps disappeared very quickly after adding spirulina. I took it for years then got complacent and stopped. As I hit peri menopause I began bleeding continuously. No cancer, doctors didn't have an answer. I began taking spirulina again and bleeding has stopped.

Fasting slows my bleeding down. Thinking of laprascopy but also wanting to cancel it. It’s in two days. I don’t trust the docs ever. They said even if they don’t find anything (I get severe pain flare ups) they are still removing my uterus. I don’t want to be their cash cow but I don’t want another flare up. It could be my back and my fibro and RA. But ya ferritin injections were great until they said I have to get surgery if that will fix my iron problem. But no. I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2015 after having 2 children and had laparoscopic surgery and I went vegan in January 2021 to see if it would help my endometriosis pain and it really helped and have stayed vegan with no pain.
I had another operation in April 2021 and my Gynaecologist said there wasn’t much endometriosis and he removed what he could.
I told him I’m vegan since January 2021 and he said plant based diet has probably helped you.
So I’ve decided to stay vegan 🌱 and hardly get any pain now.

It's not the vegan diet that helps, (vegan diets can actually cause more harm than good over time), it's the absence of hormones, estrogen, and antibiotics in the meat products because of the GMO diet and unhealthy and unnatural food they feed the animals. If you ate nothing but grass-fed meat, you would get the same results and be even healthier. The vegan diet is so, sooo bad for you. People literally lose their teeth and hair and start having serious malnutrition symptoms because of this diet. Some people it takes a few months to go downhill, some take a few years, but if you do not supplement like crazy, (even that doesn't help sometimes), you will end up worse off than you were before staying on a vegan diet.

I remember in high school my periods were so painful that I would start my mornings with about 600 - 800mg of Ibuprofen and then after school I would be dying to run home to take a few more. That's terrible on the whole body, especially the liver and kidneys and especially to a body that was still in the process of growing.. anyway I distinctly remember one day in gym class, I was supposed to be running laps and I was in so much pain that the PE teacher yelled at me because I stopped for a break and when I told her why, she said "oh get over it, all girls get period cramps" and she made sure to yell it loud for the whole class to hear. I was mortified, felt alone, never spoke of it again.. ever, only tried a few doctors and gynos who did not take me seriously.. here I am 46, childless, it's affected so much, my periods completely stopped in January, can't get an appointment for months with a doctor because of Covid delays, even though I don't have much hope and I'm now desperately searching the internet for guidance and help online.. I was struggling with endometriosis and infertility, tried so many things without result, but luckily I met a great doctor and she did the surgery for me, remove all the tissues inside the belly, then I am able to get pregnant naturally. After experimenting, I have found that my body doesn’t like a diet high in carbs, sugar and dairy. I eliminate these foods 80% throughout my cycle and my periods are so much better. Thank you so much for this video! As someone who suffers from this it’s refreshing to see an ACTUAL doctor who is suffering from this condition. It brings it down to a human level. I was fortunate to have 2 healthy children, but since my children my condition has worsened and led to surgery. My doctor is really pushing hormone therapy, but I am glad to hear others are encouraging a healthy diet and lifestyle to help lessen the outbreaks.

Thank you for the video. My sister and I both had endometriosis. She had a total hysterectomy after it invaded both ovaries and tubes. I had it behind the uterus and on ligaments that support the uterus. I had it once on my left ovary. I had a doctor who was a wizard w Lazer procedures and after he lazered it off the left ovary it never came back and I had antral follicles on that ovary at age 58. My sister is vegan and I am a pescitarian. We both had stage 4 endometriosis but mine was cut out finally via laporotomy age 56 and she had to have a hysterectomy. I will now be able to undergo IVF this year into next. I think also consuming fish is a good option for reducing inflammation. I notice that when I eat less processed foods I have less pain. Im also doing my best to stop drinking alcohol. Alcohol causes the inflammation to get worse. and I saw a video on Tiktok which suggested that women try to eat based on their blood type. so I am really excited to try that along with digestive enzymes, wild yam cream and castor oil

Like this post if you agree with the following points.
“If at least 95% of the population of the Earth transitioned to a WFPB diet then”:
It would lower chronic diseases in humans by over 85%
It would decrease the cost of health care by 70% or more
It would make our economies more productive and efficient
The above would in turn reduce the frequency of economical crisis and make them softer when they do happen
It would cover 40 to 50% of the Paris agreement in terms of cutting our green house gas emissions
It would stop most needs for deforestation
Rivers, see and oceans would recover and repopulate
Diversity would increase and endangered species would be safe
The Earth would see less wars between and within countries, and international relations would be more peacful
Humans would be a calmer, more collected specie overall
Humans would be more inteligent and creative overall
Humans would be less stressed and less anxious overall
And therefore a transition to a WFPB at planetary level would be close to a “miracle”, even in a secular society.
Like or comment if you agree to all the points above. (Just curious).

Wow! This video was so informative! I came here b/c I thought I might learn more about my fibroid and also to see if I might have endometriosis (my g-ma had it). This was so informative and great timing for me. I've already had two unsuccessful surgeries for my fibroid, but not laprascopic. This gave me some good questions to ask my new surgeon, who is going to fo laprascopic unless my fibroid somehow shrinks with all I've been working on by the time I see him. I already eat healthy (I've been lactose intolerant since I was a baby), but have been working on supplements, including Vit D and one that has herbs and potassium + a better sleep schedule. Though I move my body around A LOT, my next step is dedicated exercise, which was a struggle for me b/c of my incredibly low energy compliments fibroid (I needed a blood transfusion prior to surgery than had various complications tied to my surgeries + ongoing anemia). FINALLY only recently recovering from surgeries + taking supplements are lending me energy...now gotta get more walks in...but now I know what questions to ask my surgeon should I still need laparacopic surgery, though I'm hoping to avoid another surgery altogether (including the laparacopic): surgeries are no joke, esp. to that area!
I'm also super glad to hear your happy ending after all that struggle. That did bring a smile to my face and brought hope to me as an "older" woman still hoping to have kids someday as my bio clock ticks (as us child-seeking women are well aware of). Thank you so much for sharing and doing the work you do!

Look into N-acetyl cysteine, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, and vegan omega 3 supplements(Sun Warrior brand w/o carrageenan), also make sure that in addition to a WFPB diet you are avoiding sweets (which are inflammatory), avoiding caffeine, exercising regularly, drinking plenty of water, and eliminating household chemicals (e.g., switch to non-toxic cleaning products, deodorant, lotion and makeup). The pill does not help for everyone. Western docs are not trained in nutrition or in preventing disease.
