Ryan Roberts referred to Freeman's pregame comment regarding Notre Dame's approach offensively against Miami Ohio's defensive. Lou Holtz would never make such statements or any other top quality coach. Notre Dame should never approach a game with type of mind set. I now am beginning to see the common denominator of why our team may not be prepared for some of our opponents.
I don't care how talented Riley Leonard is, the kid is aloof. This is why he misses layup throws. This is why the offense is struggling. The QB is the leader and sets the tone for his team. Dynamic and has talent, but it's not a mystery to me that when Angeli is on the field, the offense has more spark. It's about attitude. It's about want. It's about heart. It doesn't seem to me that Leonard wants excellence.
Geez, you guys pick on the fans response. Yes it was a win, but watching muffed punts, bad FG snaps, easy throws for chunk plays missed and both lines getting pushed around. And a 22 year old, $2 million injury inconsistent QB who has a ‘confidence’ problem.

I can tell u this after watching all the College Football this weekend there is no way this team makes the playoffs there are going to be to many really good 1& 2 lose teams and I can see ND losing 1 or 2 more this Offense is a JOKE
I’m so sick of media stating RL is more dynamic, the better QB, etc. when he can’t hit a 5yd out! Just because you are more athletic on paper does not make you a good QB! Not saying SA is TB, but TB is one of the least athletic QB’s in combine history, extremely slow, but atleast he could complete passes. 1st overall picks & 5 stars don’t always pan out, just bc you are higher rated on paper does not mean you will be better! Denbrock's problems are three-fold: 1) the QB missed the end of last season, then missed the spring; 2) the WRs are largely new and haven't sync'd completely with the QB; 3) the OL is a mess ... both great OTs left for the draft, the new LT got injured and was replaced by a true freshman who was recruited as an OG, then they lost their young C and their young OG, who was clearly their best OL so far. There are all kinds of reasons the offense hasn't excelled. And I genuinely don't think any of them have to do with Denbrock not being up to the task or blaming the HC for issues that are happening.
