I’ve always heard that flatware will mar the surface of matte glazes, and I’ve pretty much avoided them for that reason. But that red is awesome! How does it stand up to flatware

We haven't tested the Satin Mattes for flatware use, but the pieces I have at home don't show any marking.

Hi! I have been using Amaco glazes for some times and though I do love them, I have a couple of issues found after the pieces were out of kiln which fired at 1240 degrees. (It's the studio that operates that temperature for all stoneware pottery. Not sure why Frosted Turquoise PC-28 came out with patches of yellowish while the other areas appeared like the colour on the bottle. Another question is when layering 2/3 different glaze colours, would you advise if the darker to layer below the lighter or the other round? Thanks in advance.

Frosted Turquoise (and Frosted Melon) are very sensitive to other glazes in the kiln and will change color based on fuming from other pieces near them. As for which way to layer glazes, it depands. Test the layers both ways to see which you prefer. ~Cara
