My son is very picky on haircuts and seen this and liked it. The thing is my sons hair is kind of longer on top, what # or how would we go about trying to cut his hair to that length ? He wants it exactly like this kids hair
Hey! I’m glad he likes this haircut. For this hairstyle just ask your barber for a low taper on the sides with the C cup lined up I didn’t touch the top or the side but you can ask for a number 7 on the side and the top of his hair was 2 inches long. I hope this is helpful :)

yeah, tell your barber, can I have a low taper, and keep the top if your trynna grow your hair out!, it’s mainly just cutting your sides and the back of your head!
Just show him a picture, it’s the easiest way

Was good! Yes when I add texture I go against the grain you can either do it when the hair is dry but it helps when you add some water just enough to let the shears glide.

Do you tip? Low tapers require more work and more times than not if you dont tip most barbers generally dont care about the specifics you wanted in a cut

i’m a young barber and i’m pretty good at cutting hair but when it comes to my hair it’s garbage 😹 hopefully you manage to do it tho
You should definitely look into becoming a barber or at least give it a try what if you like it. It takes time but little by little you’ll get there. I’ve been barbering for over 12 years and there still so much to learn.
@@Davidclipperhands1 which clippers and trimmers do you recommend ? I’m thinking of buying the wahl magic clips on amazon , but I don’t know about the outliner or trimmer.
@@3ksanchez253 the magic clip is a good clipper but they don’t really last as long I would recommend you to buy the wahl senior it’s more durable but it’s a little more expensive but I honestly recommend that one instead. A good trimmer that I’ve always used it the Andis T outliner I’ve been using the cordless one. My 2 trimmer that works really good is the wahl detailers. Just depends if you want cord or cordless.

Hey I have the same haircut but my barber always cuts my sides and not my back Bc I wanna keep the back and sides and top hair the same length but he cut my side hair the last haircut so now my back hairs are longer than my side hair and it looks like I have a mullet should I just let my hair grown out again or what should I ask him to do on my next haircut let me know.

Thanks I really appreciate it! Do you have any other clippers? I looked up the bgrc but that clipper is only a detachable clip. I have one smilers it’s a oster octane, I only use that clipper to bald out the sides faster or when they want there hair short in top like a number 2 it cuts the hair way fast than using a regular clipper. My favorite clipper is a wahl senior cordless there kinda spends but there really good clippers my favorite trimmer is a Andis T outliner cordless.

Was good brotha not sure if you seen it on insta but I’ll post it here as well! Let your hair on top be at least 1 inch 1/2 long or 2 inches long and on the side get at least a number 7 on the side with a low taper & the c cup lined up. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I didn’t touch the sizes but it’s about a number 7 on the sizes 2 inches long on top, and a skin low taper with the c cup lined up.

Yes it will with any hair texture but the taper will look more defined with different type of hair texture

So mine was missing some but I was using the area that had some, but yes it will make it a little more difficult to blend.
