Ahem. You see, Hollywood is too scared to try new things and so it just recycles the old minor successes with hopes that they will appeal to new audiences. The idea being new audiences haven't seen said old movies and therefore they can easily be tricked into seeing them as new. The flaw, of course, is that due to the insane number of lazy pop culture references to said movies and the rise of movie streaming services, those films never actually left the zeitgeist. Therefore, they will always feel dated, even to audiences who might have been too young to watch them the first time they came out.
Basically, Hollywood is run by a bunch of uncreative executives.
basically, a girl who cant dance - wants to dance. gets told she can't dance with an elite team so she pulls a fast one to form her own team, predictably with people who look like they can't dance and are absolutely awful at first but they train super hard and end up winning the whole thing. she has a crush on the choreographer and that's the film. thanks a bunch netflix.
But its funny , sweet and perfect to light up the mood.. specially with Lockdown and all. I loved it.

Sweetnr You are 100% right about that. It is the main reason I don’t watch trailers anymore. I usually go by the description or IMDB ratings now. I watched the trailer after the movie to post about it . Couple of weeks ago Netflix spoiled series ‘Cursed’ by giving away a key twist in a series in one the cast videos they do.

This movie makes me remember when I went to dance classes before the pandemic, since everyone already knew how to dance and I didn't and I struggled to catch a rhythm just like Quinn, that's why I love the movie, it makes me remember that and feel completely identified♥️
Absolutely loved it😍 It's the kinda movie you'd wanna watch on a relaxing Sunday, when you're in the mood for some happy vibes and don't wanna think too much. Liza was just being herself i.e. PHENOMENAL, as always. Sabrina is SO so talented and underrated. All in all, 10/10 recommended, go watch it! ❤
