QUESTION OF THE DAY: Would you get the 2 or 3 drawer Packout Tool Box? Would you put foam or inserts inside the drawers for optimized organization?
The two drawer suits my needs more because many tools (drills, impacts, sawzalls) won't fit into the 3 drawer set up. I have several drawers and its made me much more productive because of the easier access to the tools. Nice video!
I have both 2 & 3 drawers and I keep my die grinder, router, 23GA pin nailer and accessories in the two drawer, I haven't figured out what I'll use the three drawer for yet.🤔

I like the clear lid Packouts for my small accessories like wire nuts & screws. I'll probably stick with that instead of the 3 drawer.
@@MarkThomasBuilder I keep the tool accessories such as the die grinder and router wrenches, vacuum attachments or adapter, and what ever tools that's associated with each tool.

Nice, sounds like a fun hobby. I've been to a big model railroad exhibit in Strasburg Pa. My son was into trains when he was little, so we took a trip there.

I am a big fan of Milwaukee and I have packouts 3 boxes on wheels but I didn’t have the drawers yet but us chaps in the uk 🇬🇧 get are packouts in black that’s is the only thing I don’t like but they are the best thanks for your video stay safe sir 👏👏👍
The drawers are very nice and probably what I'll be buying more of in the future. What's funny is I hear several people here in the states that want the black Packout boxes, but can't get them.

Milwaukee really did their ‘homework’ when it comes to the Packout system. I’ve yet to invest in it; maybe this Coming Holiday Season? I didn't wait till Christmas have 2 2drawers 1 3drawer on order from Tool Nut. Expect delivery in November. I heard from someone who said the drawers sag from weight. I believe 50 lbs is max but I will never put that much weight on. I will use mine for some of my M12 tools and some for small screws and things. Might get the form for a couple drawers. Like your videos Mark
Thanks man! I'm planning on putting some Kaizen foam in mine for some M12 & M18 tools. I doubt they will sag with that setup.

I didn't plan on putting mine in the rain, but the timing worked out while making the video, lol. How did the Festool drawers hold up to rain?
Does anyone know if the 2 Drawer packouts should fit snuggly onto a full sized mount? I ask because the packout boxes I have all cleate in/clip extremely snuggly into each other but the 2 drawer packout I bought has a lot of play after being cleated/clipped in.

Hey thanks Dan! The 2 drawer Packout isn't big enough for a circ saw, uvfortunately. I keep a Makita 6.5" Subcompact Circular Saw in my 22" large compartment Packout.
@@MarkThomasBuilder I have mine in the 22" now. I made a divider out of plywood for it. Circular saw and grinder in one side and driver, impact, flashlight in the other. Works well. I'm just trying to talk myself into buying more packout. Lol
Considering the 30 degree framing nailer has a shorter magazine than the 21 degree nailer, do you think or know if it might be able squeeze in a two drawer packout?
The 21 degree would fit if the magazine was 2-1/2" shorter. I think it's only 2 screws to take the clip off. I"m not sure about the 30 degree. I kinda doubt it will fit.
Is there a gasket or something to keep moisture out? What about driving rain? Would that get inside?
We had some heavy rain in the storm I tested it in. I don't notice any seals, so I would have to say I'm impressed that there was no water in it.

Hi, I tested my M18 FUEL 1" SDS Plus Hammer Drill and it easily fits in one of the drawers in the 2-drawer Packout. There's room to have the battery on the drill and room to store some SDS+ bits.

Will a cordless sawzall fit in there? Without the blade of course.
I just gave it a try. If you remove the shoe and battery, then it just fits in there at an angle. The shoe on my cordless Super Sawzall is tool-less and able to be removed in about 5 seconds.
Im very New to the Channel. Great demonstratio. On the following subject. I'm building a woodshop 16×32 and want to be able set piers 90 degrees from one another precisely. Would you recommend the Bosch 800 Self leveling rotary leval kit you demonstrated 2 yrs ago and still available from bosch or the Milwaukee you did more recently ? (Bosch 800 seems more robust but that's just me)

If you're working outside, the Milwaukee 3-Plane Laser would work best since you can get the Milwaukee Laser Detector. I don't believe the Bosch l3-Plane laser has any detector that works with it.
The Milwaukee 3-Plane comes in handy for a wide variety of projects, indoor and outside.

No, I don't believe it will.
Will the big grinder fit?
I have 2 @4.5 angle grinders that both fit. One of them is corded.
Can you get a rotary hammer drill in there?
I fit a Ridgid 1" SDS Plus in there no problem.

Is it really 20.5 lbs? That seems very heavy.
Yes, I'd say it's meant to be at the bottom of the Packouts and not picked up and moved much. I also plan on building some packout vertical shelves in my garage, where it will be there on a more permanent basis, but able to move to the cart if needed.
1.5 hr rain? Really not the same as your tools out in the rain or in the back of your truck . Nice fan boy video
I left it out in the rain and everything got soaked
Oh man, that stinks. I just had mine out 1 time in a huge storm and it stayed dry. I don't recall seeing where these are advertised with an IP65 rating for water protection, like some other Packout cases.

@@MarkThomasBuilder No I am in Tenneesee :) Just got diagnosed with Parkinson's, Doc suggested I start flying RC planes again to keep the brain active, and this would be so perfect for all my tools and gear, and it's water proof! Actually looking for deal, might have to wait until black Friday or something like that. Dont let my Cockney TN accent fool you ;) The entire system is just so awesome, but just so damn expensive, and of course, I want it all!!
RC planes sounds like a fun hobby. The Packout would be a great way to store the parts.
