African Cichlid Tank Species List - All My Fish (And Where I Got Them)

  • Its difficult to identify a fish you've seen on a TH-cam video. Since so many have asked about my African Cichlid Tank I figured it would be a great help to identify my boys so you guys can spot a few that you like and have the info available.
My African Cichlids are a mix of Peacocks and Haps from lake Malawi.
Even though they are all tank raised I attempt to mimic their natural waters as much as possible by keeping the proper PH and temperature for my boys to thrive!

Thank you !!! I love learning from your videos. ☺️
Shortly after I started my tank in August, I almost gave it up because I got frustrated with trying to curb the aggression between my Peacocks specifically. But I’ve learned a lot watching your videos and I can now say that I am enjoying the ride!!!
Btw: the addition of my Blood Parrot made a huge difference. HaHa 🤣 He is the official Ring Leader of the whole tank!! Who would’ve thought

Just picked up 13 new juvey males for my 125 from Snake River... they're a bit pricy but since I bought so many and dropped your name, they gave me a discount. Never hurts to ask! I think I know which fish you're missing; a lethrinops... (I prefer Oculatus, Kande, or Marginatus). They are some of the most colorful I've ever seen and your friends at Costal have a nice Oculatus. I want to get a venustus for my 125, but I'm worried about size and aggression. Thank you again for all you do. LETS GO!!

Your tank may not be big enough. Oscars need a lot of tank space or they will get very territorial. Usually I add fish during a water change and I move decor around to reset territories.
