I'm so glad you had a wonderful trip to the UK! I'm not a fan of London myself, but it does have some good highlights! Cex is very hit and miss since it's dealing in used items, but they have good warranty, and I do love browsing through the countless games they have - especially the older ones!

Come to Barcelona someday Ircha! There is a zone in a district known as “freak triangle” where you can find a loooot of shops with games, merchandising, mangas etc. London is also amazing ❤ i used to live there and for me is one of the best cities ever!

Bra video som vanligt Ircha! Make sure to stay a couple of more days next time. I've done the CEX tour many times over there and this summer I think I manage to go to 8 of them. Didn't make any finding s on all of them but always fun to just go and look. :D

Nice video footage about London! And it was good that it contained game shops! As younger I used to make many trips to London and I remember book shop, where you could take any of those books and go to cafeteria, drink coffee and read books. There are so many interesting places like dungeon, Sherlock Holmes bar, Madame Tussaud's cabinet (Benny Hill) and so on.
What is this Dungeon you are speaking of? I'm going to London next month. Is it the London Dungeon?
Absolutely brilliant video!!! Glad you enjoyed London and all the gaming goodness. Forbidden Planet is now on my list to visit next week. A regular at CEX for a few weeks now and absolutely love browsing and sometimes finding those games I had been meaning to play. Game now as I understand which is similar to gamestop only has presence within sporting retailers or similar. There are also independent gaming shops around London Once again thank you Ircha for this 🤟🎮😎

Nice, London is proper nice for video games and London Gaming Market is even better (eventbrite is a recommended app to book tickets). Essex next door to London has some great independent retro video game and toy shops like Retro Hunter, Retroformers, Game On, Miso Gaming and Nerd Base along with the usual Cex stores in the larger areas like Southend, Colchester and Basildon. You will likely need to make a few train journeys and hotel stays to see them all though.

Ha, it's cool that you were in London browsing the game shops. There are tons of CEX shops in the UK. It's a massive franchise and some stores are bigger than others. you can really pick up some obscure gems but it depends on how lucky you are that day. I love shopping at CEX cos you never know what you'll find.

Glad you enjoyed London Ircha, my home city! I never realised that the Pokemon event you attended was in Chiswick...that's literally two miles from where I live, in fact I used to work in that complex, but not in gaming. Can't believe you only left with one game though! 🤣

That’s my local CEX! There’s a great little independent store that is similar to it on the parade of shops opposite that shopping centre too
As an English man I've always hated London. Game hunting went downhill probly 20 years ago when independent shops started closing. And carboot finds are hard to come by.

A few years ago (around 2014), I saw also a CEX shop in Spain. Didn't know before (I'm french, so we have others) and I had bought just 1 PSP game if I remember.

Yeah next time you come to the UK you should definitely come for longer. So much to do in London itself, shows, clubbing, restaurants etc. But then you could visit other parts of the UK too, like take a trip to the coast, Cornwall or Brighton on a sunny day 😊✌️

Forbidden planet and Another world have been around since the 90's England wide. CEX is also UK wide. Regarding retro CEX had a specific retro shop in the 90's in London before retro became a thing and spread to all CEX stores. What stores are their in Norway ?
I usually order my Omnis and Graphic Novels from Forbidden Planet, they got decent prices
Well the UK has CEX and car boot sales it's probably the best place for game hunts outside of the US

valkyria revolution as a gameplay more similar to the old growlanser, albeit more unbalanced with some very hard boss and the rest quite easy. its of course not as fun as growlanser too. Storywise, it may be the best story of the valkyria chronicle series even if revolution is a spinoff that do not play like the chronicle at all.

I find CEX overpriced, at least here, they are incredibly expensive (I’ve literally seen second hand games more expensive than new ones). I love Forbidden Planet, though last time I was there (July) it was half empty. I guess they were putting in new stuff and getting out the old stuff. I did get some stuff, because they have a lot lol, but it still looked sad. I’m glad you had fun!
Cex is overpriced for newer games and Switch games, but it's pretty good for older games!
@@xtranathor8143 I wish that were true here (Spain). I’ve seen old games (3ds specifically) being sold for way too much. Same with old consoles. In the end I end up buying them second hand from individual sellers because it’s cheaper. I had a friend that worked there and they told me to not buy there so there’s also that lol but maybe it’s just here. I’ve never gone into a CEX abroad because of my experience with them here.
That Tales of Eternia for PSP (28 pounds) used to be much much cheaper not such a long time ago....

@@ircha the reasons for that might be that they have to put the game case out for display because it's paid to be there (kind of weird, I know) or someone just did not realise they did not have it in stock anymore and put it back out. Happens many times :/
