Look behind you, look behind you and you see the pink Floyd album dark side of the moon, Alan Parsons was the award winning engineer of that and many other amazing albums.
Parsons was an engineer on Dark Side and had some additional inclusions such as the clocks ringing during the intro of Time, but Roger Waters was the primary producer of the album along with the other Pink Floyd members.
100 years from now people will STILL be singing praise for Alan Parsons. Dude was a complete innovator and totally redefined what you could do in the studio.
@@robjohnson5872 True..Also earning his first credit on The Beatles "Abbey Road" Album,, Dark Side Of The Moon,, Etc..Etc. & With so many things to list,, I just figured I'd throw in one that was less likely to get mentioned.
With all the reactions you have done by him,, I can't believe no one has suggested these 2 MUST HEARS,, Jimi Hendrix "Crosstown Traffic" & "The Wind Cries Mary" 🔥❤️🔥
Another album that was playing in the record store under the sign just released. I went in to buy Going For The One by YES and came out with two brilliant albums ✨️🎶✨️
Oh man. I had totally forgotten about this song. It’s one of those that you would hear on the radio all the time but I didn’t realize how good it was until hearing it on headphones.
Great reaction guys!! The sound production of ALL of Alan Parsons Project's music is top notch - every album! You can tell he cut his teeth as a sound engineer (Abbey Road, Let It Be & Dark Side Of The Moon as three VERY notable credentials!) This song indeed has such a funk groove to it. HIGHLY recommend the 16+ minute suite: The Turn Of A Friendly Card - then you'll see how sonically beautiful and progressive The Project could get! Cheers!
Another great reaction gentleman. This is a 70’s iconic song. Saw them live in 79 with Kansas. Great show it was phenomenal. Keep up the fantastic work…
Excellent choice ! This was one of their early songs , My brother turned me on to this and I was just a kid and I'm 62 now ! Alan Parsons is amazing He's got talent on top of talent he's produced some Pink Floyd songs !
OMG! I was hoping you would do this one, as it is totally awesome. Glad you enjoyed it. Check out some of their other stuff. The guitar riff remains one of the best of that era. Thanks!
Been watching you guys for a while. Not only do I enjoy the videos you react to, but I have a lot of respect for the both of you.If you gentlemen ever get a chance, check out the album Enlightened Rouge’s by the Allman Brothers Band. Songs like Crazy Love,Can’t take it with you,are just a few.You won’t be disappointed. This album came out in 1979. Hope you both enjoy it as much as I have all these years.Thank you for all that you do. Doug V. Charlotte,North Carolina.
In 1975 (six years before MTV) a promotional video was released for this song. (As it was released on the *I-Robot* album, the theme of the video was about about living in a cold and technocratized sociey). It is well worth the watch if you can find it. Thanks for this!
One of my favorite artists! Just got of a music cruise in the Bahamas with Alan Parsons (among 30 other bands). He and his band played twice and he did meet and greets and well as other things. He was even on my Plane home as we’re both west coast. GREAT SONG!!!!
I remember hearing this song on the radio all the time. I don't think I appreciated as much as I should have. That guy's voice has so much expression...I love it.
Sound engineer for the Beatles incredible Abbey road album as well as the masterpiece, Dark side of The Moon album by Pink Floyd. Dude was talented af.
Just bought concert tickets a few minutes ago - Alan Parsons is on tour and coming to Milwaukee! Definitely was on my bucket list. Great reaction guys, give us more! Try a live...
Alan Parsons is an engineer and he has guest singers. When they decided to name the band someone said Well, it's Alan Parsons Project so they decided to use that as their name
i am a long time subscriber, i don't comment very often, but i wanted to say you two are one of my favorite reaction channels. great music, great takes!!
Alan Parsons was producer and arranger on the Project albums, but he rarely played on the actual recordings. The music compisitions, lyrics and concepts came from his Project collaberator Eric Wolffson who composed most, if not all, of his works on a piano or keyboard. The days of real/analog only instrumentation and real analog tape. In the case of APP recordings done at Abbey Road Studios, London, England.
Tales of Mystery and Imagination is a fantastic voyage from Alan Parsons and Edger Allen Poe!!❤ Once again a very wonderful reaction, you guys are the best!! Sending love and hugs from Ontario, Canada ❤
My first parsons album , I robot. I even got a CD in my car. The APP has loads of great songs. As you well know he was the engineer on the Dark Side album. And PF wanted him back later, but then he had alredy started his Project, So in 1977 I think the I robot album came out. APP and PF will always be with me. Thanks for reacting.I love your albm reviews on Pink Floyd, so maybe you also would consider doing the same for Parson....
This is one of my two favorite albums by Alan Parsons, the other is Turn of a Friendly Card. You nailed it, their musicianship and production is flawless. Such a great sound. As others have mentioned, they created Concept Albums, which were intended to be listened to in one sitting. You just put the album on, sit back, and let them sonically take you to another plane. The mix, the sonic flow, from one song to the next, just enjoy it. And vinyl is the way to go! Thanks for the great music and the insightful dialog.
Interesting that the TDSOTM album cover is displayed right above and behind the APP cover. This tune was off the “I Robot” album and most of the musicians were from the band Pilot. Alan was engineer on that Pink Floyd album.
Guys, I found the I, Robot album, the one with the big octagonal robot head and people going up-and-down escalators around it, ike from the 70s. Alan Parsons project I, Robot. That album blew my mind as a freaking 12 yr old in 1979. The title is an instrumental with Herbie Hancock vibes. Parents were astounded by what I was listening to!!😊😊😂
Look behind you, look behind you and you see the pink Floyd album dark side of the moon, Alan Parsons was the award winning engineer of that and many other amazing albums.
Yes - and also produced one of my favorite songs.. by Al Stewart.. Year of the Cat.. so beautiful!
@@GinMae He actually produced 2 albums for Al.. including the one with Time Passages.
He was the guy who produced Dark side of the moon!
Say nay more !
Assistant on "Abbey Road" too.
Engineered it
Parsons was an engineer on Dark Side and had some additional inclusions such as the clocks ringing during the intro of Time, but Roger Waters was the primary producer of the album along with the other Pink Floyd members.
He put together that loop of the cash register sounds at the beginning of Money too.
Games People Play by Alan Parsons 🤩
DEF!
Yes,another great song😎
Love that one as well
Breakdown or The Voice are both from I Robot and are Fire! Don't Let it Show 😢 brings a tear to my eye every time. Fantastic album.
Make sure you do SIRUS/EYE IN THE SKY as one song. You will instantly recognize it.
Such a groovy way to tell someone " I can't stand you ". I can think of a couple people I'd like to play this for...😮 Nice choice!
It's all about a robot telling off a meat puppet.
The Alan Parsons Project was primarily known for concept albums, rarely singles. Well worth exploring. Thanks.
The whole I Robot album was a masterpiece
yep 🎉
100 years from now people will STILL be singing praise for Alan Parsons. Dude was a complete innovator and totally redefined what you could do in the studio.
Sound engineer on Beatles Abbey Road.
Alan Parsons worked as a tape operator on Let It Be and Assistant Engineer on Abbey Road. He was the engineer on Dark Side Of The Moon.
I adore the Alan Parsons Project and reactors sleep on this song. I'm so glad that you did this song.
Alan Parsons can do it all,, He was a huge help to the beginning of the group Ambrosia,, Even having several members play on his debut album.
Also produced Al Stewart's "Year of The Cat" album. You can his his mastery in Year of the Cat and On the Border - my two faves.
@@robjohnson5872 True..Also earning his first credit on The Beatles "Abbey Road" Album,, Dark Side Of The Moon,, Etc..Etc. & With so many things to list,, I just figured I'd throw in one that was less likely to get mentioned.
Alan Parsons ain't Dead. He's been on tour lately. Smh
Alan Parsons also produced Al Stewart -Year of the Cat
the whole album was a wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You two Gents brought out the big Deck to play today! Rock On!
The Top Shelf stuff!
Possibly my favourite drum ' count in' (if there's such a thing). Just kicks the song off beautifully.
Thanks, men. Some funky Alan Parsons...that guy could engineer..hard!
He was ok.
Sincerely
Dark Side of The Moon and Abbey Road.

After all the Jacks are in their boxes...
So hard to get through to you! We all know women like that...
Jimi tends to get blocked
I haven't heard this song in years! It is really funky. Thanks La and Che!
If I could only take 10 albums to the deserted island, Alan Parsons albums I Robot and Tales of Mystery and Imagination would both make the cut.
So much great Alan Parsons, but this song has SLAM! It's been a personal favorite for decades.
Such a great song, the production is terrific. When I drop a dime on the volume control, it over pressurizes my house. Lol.
Love Allan Parsons Project
I Robot is one of my favorite albums of all time.
I Robot or Breakdown are two other top Alan Parsons Project tunes. Good Stuff.
Breakdown. Poor robot needs a reboot.
Brings me back to the 70s #ROCKON.
The Alan Parsons Project were fantastic in the 80s 70s
This is one of my go-to cd's when I just want to sit down, push play, and forget about reality for 30-40 minutes.

They had a few hits during that ere Time, Eye in the Sky, Games People Play
Ooh yeah
This is an absolute banger
My favorite Alan parsons tune
Always loved this song. And as others have said, Parsons has links to such albums as Dark Side of the Moon. Enough said.
Oh man. I had totally forgotten about this song. It’s one of those that you would hear on the radio all the time but I didn’t realize how good it was until hearing it on headphones.
Awesome, that was a jam!

Another great reaction gentleman. This is a 70’s iconic song. Saw them live in 79 with Kansas. Great show it was phenomenal. Keep up the fantastic work…
Great composition, performance and production. Superb song. But I wish it was a minute longer.
He also produced Spinal Tap’s Shark Sandwich LP.
"Turn of a friendly card" for me in good old Tasmania (Island state of Australia)
