Just tremendous! Tears for fears classic, wonderful songs seem to lend themselves immediately to your heavier guitar input! You just seems to enhance these already fantastic songs. I loved TFFears back then although generally heavy rock has always been my ‘thing’ but I was knocked out by your version of ‘Head over heels ‘. Eye opening stuff. Nice job. Roland’s guitar work with TFF is a favourite of mine. He understates things but when you listen in to the tracks his lead and chord work is sublime yet brilliant. Their recordings are gems and it is great to see that he and Curt are still working together. I saw them play in NZ about 12 years ago along with Spandau Ballet. They should have toured solo. I’ve added parts here. I mention in the description about my ‘leppardized’ covers being a chance for me to add guitar parts to songs with little to no guitar in them. Yeah I covered All Night many years ago. By 2017 I covered pretty much all the main Leppard catalog minus the yeah album and some acoustic tracks.

somehow apt to use a Hohner/Steinberger for this song (even though Roland Orzabal used a Strat/Strat-shaped guitar in the video) because I remember Curt Smith used a headless bass guitar in the video. also, is it me or does your solo sound like a bit like bagpipes (like how Stuart Adamson of Big Country and Big Country in general made their guitar tones sound like bagpipes).
Cheers! It’s the guitar I can detune with minimal set up fuss but yes, it’s a little bit more suitable for the 80s new wave thing. I love Big Country, they’re from my home town, and have covered a few of their tracks.
