I think what you do is awesome! By putting up his videos more people know about the people that are missing and also what it takes to go looking for that. My biggest fear is finding some thing while out and about because I don’t know even what to do if I did.
Good for you. Not everyone bothers to look at the birds, the terrain or go off trail. I found it interesting that you were aware of the buzzards/eagles. Plus your sense of smell. I’m sure other search/rescue folk also have their spidey senses going as well. One thing I learned in AZ is that if you’re going out for a hike, be specific on what area/trail you will be walking. There are plenty of maps to identify your style of trail you want. Thank you for your effort. 😊✌🏼😎👍🏼
yes i always tell my group before i head out on what area i plan searching and i message them on my return we have a good system
i also carry a gps so its impossible to get lost and also to keep gps records of my searches and finds
You have such a caring, kind & gentle soul. Not too many people would do this on their own time. Be careful. I lost my father tragically almost 3 years ago. Luckily a driver was behind his car to see what happened to call for help. However it was too late. But bless the good samaritan who called for help. He had a massive heart attack and his car went into a ditch in the desert. 😢 Its been tough. He was my rock.

@AussieVanMan if you ever need a friend to talk to about your loss, or just to talk, I'm here. I find if others haven't lost a parent it's hard for them to understand your grief. I also lost my mom unexpectedly 9 months after my father. But we persevere in our own way on our own time. ❤️
Thanks to you and the others for doing these search and rescues. Hopefully, this one turns out well. People need to be more careful when they aren't avid hikers and the terrain is so rough along with the heat of the day. These types of behaviors put everybody at risk. God Bless and I pray you find this gentleman. Also, something I'm learning, is never hike alone and without some sort of gps.

Get some leg gators when hiking through that type of terrain. Protects from burs and snakes.

Ive spent alot of money on gear and fuel doing these searches its 50 bucks just in fuel going out to the Superstitions.
Luckily my search group leader invested in some gators and bought extra so i should be able to use those when im out. Although it is cooling down now so the snakes should start going away now.

Brock, try and make sure you have bananas when you go on these search and rescue hikes, they will help with the leg cramps-maybe a good idea to keep them as part of your diet since you do these often. 🤩The potassium in them should help!
I love hiking off trail in the Supes, but I didn't recognize where you were. Where were you? Great video that I really enjoyed
So I set off from first water trailhead searched off trail near Dutchman trail and first water and then searched some washes heading towards the east side of hackberry loop and another trail I think is black mesa or something but I was kind of all over the place mostly off trail

@AussieVanMan how sad. Crazy no signs of them have been found since then that I know of. Was in the same area as you around that same time.
The Superstitions are weird because it's not the biggest wilderness area but people can still go wholesale missing. Especially if they head off east too far.
