I used to bushcraft in Bavaria and southern Germany along the the alps west of Basil from 1986 until around 2000 and loved every outing, almost every weekend if i could. It was the best time of my life..." mien Deutsche" is worse now than your English, just don't be scared to express yourself as best that you can... I have used more hand signals and comical body language on my way to learning German than i can remember. Its all about getting the point understood any way you can... Ahhh thank you for bringing back such wunderschon erinnerungen.......

Hi Vanessa, i like how you make your trips into an adventure, not some teaching program or survival discussion. You make it a real and inspriring experience . I took my son camping recently and we attempted to go into the woods to explore, but changed our minds. Where we live, the undergrowth, snakes, & mosquitos make for an undesirable experience in the summertime. We camp in clearings but wait until fall to do more exploring.

Agreed the way she talks is part of her charm, love her to bits. Her husband is a very lucky man.
Steak and then real German bratwurst for breakfast, this is heaven, and watching that little dog makes me wish I could hug it through the computer, It is so cool to hear Vanessa and understand her while watching the video, I hope that she does more of these, this was really cool. And the care that was taken to ensure that the campsite was left in a pristine condition makes her a true outdoors sister.

She goes through the wood picking mushrooms etc, taking fa few sips of water every now and then. Then finds a place to stay the night, builds a cozy little nest with a nice little fire. Then slaps a nice steak on the pan. Priceless. My kind a woman.

Love the fact you take us out camping with you in the videos. Wish I was there too at times. Your English is understandable. I know if we were all there with you we could help you with English better every trip. Could help you with the English names of some things you share. Looks like someone taught you well as far as Bushcraft skills. It is good to see women like you not afraid to go camping on your own. Most girls don't like to go camping because of the bugs and things you find in the woods, so it's good to see someone like you, the adventurous type that's not afraid. More women should be like you. You have a nice knowledge of medicinal plants. Being able to identify nature’s pharmacy is a great skill to have. I have the books but not the working knowledge. Your overnight camp location is excellent and the food must have been good. You might want to use a “striker” for your fire-rod and spare your knife blade sharpness. Good stuff. the ball Ithink is a small bird nest like a humming bird or sparrow. but it might be a food cash of a mole.
I use a pouch on my belt that is dedicated to storing mushrooms I find. Awesome video!
