Love the console build, turned out super nice. I did the exact same thing for my lifted 85 Bronco 15 years ago. I used 3/16ths rod to make the wire frame in the truck and some 1" flat bar for mounts because I didn't have a cnc plasma machine back then so I used wood and a router for the panels and covered them in vinyl. The one I made was pretty nice, but yours turned out awesome! Great work!! I would like to make another one one day since I have all the tools now, but I also know how much work they are. 🙃 Love your videos, keep up the great work!!
Thanks Terry. Sometimes it's hard to find the will to continue this channel when a video like this gets 689 views in 3 months, but took a ton of time to make.
That's quite a project. I like how you built the wire frame in the car to get the shape and fit. I'm guessing the weight is not too different from a console built from wood, perhaps even a tad lighter given the weight of sheet metal vs. the typical 1/2" ply or MDF. Finished product looks great!
Thanks Ron! I'm trying to do my best to convey what/how I did it without the video being 45 minutes long and taking 80 hours to produce. It's a balance.

Thanks. I'd guestimate it at 40 lbs with the radio installed.

Ian, awesome work man, that looks like a meticulous job to do. Was that the lathe that you had in OB?
Yes sir. It's a Knuth lathe, and I highly recommend buying something different if anyone is ever in the market. Thanks Chris.
