The great Nallen Mountain (768.3 m above sea level) with its beautiful small mountain lake is impressive. This lake was created in a disused former quarry, and the rock formations tower imposingly above it. If you make it to the top, you can enjoy a fantastic panorama. In good weather and with a clear view, you can look from the summit across the valley around mountains such as Kreuzberg, Wasserkuppeand also as far as the valley of the Fulda and the Frankfurt region.
The "Land of Open Distances", is different from other low mountain ranges and has over 500 signposted hiking trails.
