Day 1 - Scooter Cannonball 2023

Quick-ish synopsis of day one of the 2023 Scooter Cannonball. We went from sea level to over 5,000 feet to -250 feet below sea level... It got to 112 degrees in the desert (one guy said 115) which wasn't to great on the scooters. Live and learn.

Great videos! I was on the 2021 Vespa 300 HPE 75th anniversary 175 Wild Cherry I remember taking with you at the hotel. I plan on doing the 2025 cannonball with my husband Peter. Yes doing it again.

Great Travelog Brother.
At 03:35 it needs added "yeah but it's a DRY heat"
Like having a hair dryer you are riding thru. Literally can't stay hydrated. A semi frozen Camelback is all I think might do. Last Fall - Sept 25th I toured thru / past Phoenix towards San Diego - it was still 99 degrees.
I kept a half gallon if water & filled it with Ice every Loves Travel Stop.
It's SO dehydrating you literally stop needing to pee, cause moisture is blowing out of you.

At the Coachella High School checkpoint I did think I said that, LOL. Easily drank more liquid in a week than I do in a typical month so was ok but definitely not something I was used to.

During my short truck ride, Matt told me it was like 3k they had to pay for the Joshua tree permit and that’s why they lost money doing the event this year 🤷‍♀️

@@tigjimmy_cannonball-pd8cu the permit that they needed was for media. They thought riders would be taking pics and video on more of a documentary level and the parks always want there piece of that pie.

Btw I love the video. I took no pics ad video and I have little recollection of what I did for 8 days 😂 so I love being able to look back at other peoples footage and to be able to also share where I was with my family.
