The policy in my first school be like “we can’t adapt for one individual and leave all students” while the policy in my second school was “the teachers needs to adapt to the level of each individual student to make them learn”. It really made me believe that I should’ve left my first school ages ago 😂
Teachers who are genuinely passionate about what they do always try to adapt - I've had a lot of them, and it's clear to me which ones really wanted to help students learn, and which ones simply fancied being the expert. My old teacher who still tutors me sometimes tells me how hard it is with the classes at school, but she still never gives up, and if one lesson plan fails, she ultimately tries again with a different one. She's admitted how hard being a teacher is, but she recognises that it was her commitment and considers it her responsibility to teach the kids. I honestly hope I'm ever as dedicated to whatever job I decide on as some of the teachers I've known. And hope I do better for those relying on me than the ones who let me down.
I love how Shifu isn’t a perfect master and even after he had his own growth, there’s still that glimmer of impatience that makes him relatable (“I’m not DYING, you idiot!”). 😂😂
A bit about Oogway is that when he passes on in this movie, he is several centuries old, if not nearly 1,000 years. He was the original master. Thus, he is one of the wisest characters in animation
This movie does so many things right. The characters, their development, the fight choreography, the lessons, how well it depicts ancient China, it's all so great. One part I really like, and often see overlooked, is how after Po lays out his insecurities to Shifu, we see that Tigress heard the whole thing and finally started to soften up and feel sorry for him, and realized he was actually taking Kung Fu seriously, not "treating it like a joke" as she previously stated.
I’ve always found it funny that one of the film’s main themes is about subverting expectations (in a good way). In the movie, nobody has any faith in Po, but he is able to persist and find success. The actual film had a similar reception where nobody thought a movie called Kung Fu Panda would be any good, but we actually got this excellent film.
Not only that but the entire time shifu and the lot are mocking him, trying to get rid of him, the works, Po still stays and does his best But the moment that Tai Lung is actually coming, shifu immediately tries to keep Po from fleeing while Po can only think of fleeing And they finally have confront each other on the problems they've been having, forcing shifu to accept that he isn't in control and Po needs a teacher more than ever
@@kuronaialtani Yeah, I like Shifu's confession that he doesn't know how to train Po. He first blurts it out from the sheer exasperation of Po pressing the answer out of him at all, but then immediately turns introspective over it: if he can't train this student, the failure is _his._
I love how during the whole movie, Shifu didn’t smile until he was in full training with Po. 31:38 shows the excitement that po gave Shifu for the dumpling battle
_Kung Fu Panda_ is one of DreamWorks Animation’s best films from the animation, story and the stellar voice cast of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, Jackie Chan, Ian McShane, and the goat James Hong. Plus, the film with a very important message on "believing in oneself". When Po describes it as "blank" it’s because he considers himself an empty slate capable of learning and improving, compared to Tai Lung who despite mastering thousands of scrolls of Kung Fu he think very little of himself. Even Mr. Ping (Po’s Adoptive Father) revealed to Po regarding the secret ingredient in the the Soup that "It’s Nothing" which also ties to believing in oneself. The style of fighting you saw Po using against Tai Lung at the end is actually a kungfu style called panda style where they make their opponents tired with a strong 'Belly' defense, then they attack with surprise moves that appear to almost be an accident.
One thing I've noticed is a lot of people tend to say Master Oogway's death was random. However, had he stayed, Shifu would have continued to use his presence as a crutch, as would Po (he literally tried the next scene). Because of this he removed himself from the equation so that they would be forced to fulfill their potentials. On top of that, the future movies, which I won't spoil, explain further that without him living to his potential now, future threats would have not been defeatable.
I don't think the criticism is that there's no dramatic reason for him to die. (There definitely is.) It's that there's no setup that he needs to "move on" except for him saying he feared he wouldn't live to see the Dragon Warrior. Still a great movie though. Maybe my favorite Dreamworks movie that didn't involve Aardman.
One of my favorite scenes ever, the music, the petals, all of it was beautiful. And honestly, death doesnt always call before coming. It is as you said, Ooway left when he had to, and he knew, he knew that Shifu understood what he just told him about the illusion of control. He knew he wasnt needed anymore and left in such a special way, as special as he was
I think you guys would definitely love the Kung Fu Panda 2, I think you’d really enjoy the villain more and in my opinion the story and action is just as good if not better than the first film.
I'm still not over the story of Tai Lung, even though I've watched this movie a billion times. The way he was in prison all this time, WITHOUT MOVING AT ALL, in complete loneliness - that is something that finally may broke him. All this time stewing in anger, and hurt, unable even to twitch the tail... If only Shifu talked to him sometimes while he was there, I think the end result wouldn't be so disastrous.
Well, we just don't know what happened between Oogway nerve-pinching him and prison. There might have been any number of attempts at talking Tai Lung around or rehabilitation or whatever. Maybe Shifu really tried. He might have tried any number of times previously. Insufficient data.
One of the funniest things to me is the insinuation that Po’s dad separates his “secret ingredient soup” from the others or even a “regular” bowl, so he’s probably charging people extra money for nothing lol
Well, like Po’s dad said, “To make something special, you just gotta believe it’s special.” There’s no special ingredient to success, it’s only you that makes it.
I believe Po's charm is the fact that no matter what he accomplishes, he's never arrogant about it. He stays true to who he is, remaining a kung-fu fanboy until the end. And I love that most about him. The way he can go from super serious, to suddenly getting overexcited over small kungfu things. He may be the dragon warrior, but the furious five are still amazing to him till the end.
I think Tigress is such a good female character because neither the movie (nor character) harp on the fact that she's a female. She's the leader, the fact that she's a female is never brought up, she gets respect from everyone, and she doesn't feel like she needs to prove anything just because she's a female. She just is who she is and that's enough. It's nice to see a strong female character without needing to act like it's special for her to be strong.
Tbf that’s because gender dimorphism is irrelevant in a universe where so many people are different types of animals. If it was only about anglerfish people i’m sure it would come up
Another thing that makes her a good female character is that the reason for her stoicism, which is usually a male trait, is actually explained as to why she's like that due to child neglect and constant expectations she faced throughout childhood. She is basically Tai Lungs opposite
Tigress is also my big crush, I wish I could teleport myself to Kung Fu Panda world and meet her, so we could be together. Anyone who also had or has a crush on her let me know
rewatching this over and over makes me really appreciatethe the dialog in every scene like with the shifu and Po argument. Even though Po knows shifu doesn't know how to turn him into the dragon warrior you can tell a part of of wished he was wrong with how defeated he sounds when he said " That's what i thought".
The fact that master Shifu is the red panda just adds more to this movie, lovely connection of main and supporting characters. Great reaction and commentary 💜💜💜 P.S. Nobu is so real for that, ain't no way I'm walking up those stairs 😂😂😂
as someone who did kungfu (i guess technically wushu) growing up, i watched this with my dad when it came out, and it was genuinely a very good way for him to explain to me the basics of shaolin gong fu and qi. it's pretty accurate honestly
I’m so glad you guys are watching this, the Kung fu panda films are some of the most well written & consistently great movies all the way though, with really memorable villains from Dreamworks. The second one in particular is my favourite, never fails to make me cry 🐼💛 I hope you enjoy them! ✨
The saddest thing about Tai Lung is him looking at his own reflection and saying "It's nothing!" For example, I don't thing we ever saw Po's reflection the first time he looked at the scroll, only later, when he needed to see it. I just love this movie, so very much.
Can’t believe this movie came out almost 15 years ago. I remember watching in theaters with my mom and when the credits rolled, I thought that this was one of greatest movies I’ve ever seen. Also, now that I’m in college, I’ve realized how inspiration the song Kung Fu Fighting is
A nice showing of the difference in character for Po and Tai Lung is how they view the scroll; Po says it's blank, signifying that he still has much to learn and is willing to do so, but Tai brands it as empty or "Nothing" and throws it away in frustration, showing that for all his power and skill he's unwilling to come to terms with his faults and is too prideful to accept help and guidance from others on how to be better.
One thing to keep in mind for the sequels too is to pay attention to the meaning of the colors choice. Because the creators of the movie said that the choice of the colors have a meaning to a scene or character: gold for heroism, green for wisdom, blue for tragedy, red for power and brown for humility and hard work. It is specially mind blowing when you look at character's eye colors and clothing, so is definitely worth it to keep an eye on the colors when you guys react to the second and third films
Wow! Thank you for your comment. I am not really a King fu Panda Fan. Just like it like other movies. But I really love to read or hear about stuff like this. What are the meanings of a character or what maybe thought the person when he or she created something. Very interesting. 🙂
Honestly such an amazing film. Perfect balance between humour and seriousness. It really blends so many elements together so smoothly. Such a well done film.
Kung Fu Panda is by far one of the most unexpected amazing movies I've ever seen. Like seriously, "fat panda animated movie starring Jack Black" does not sound like it should lead to something as good as it was. It sounded like a dumb concept that I can easily make fun of. But it managed to be surprisingly great and get two great sequels. This is a movie with excellent humor, gorgeous animation, lovable characters, and a fantastic message that resonates with both kids and adults.
I love that the reason why Tai Lung is a snow leopard is because in real life, snow leopards are the natural predators of the giant panda, as well as the red panda, the latter of which is the species of Shifu
This was one of my favorites as a kid, and still one of my favorites. You never would’ve thought a character who was a panda would be such a badass until this movie was made. I’ll always love it ❤️❤️
What's really amazing is how clumsy pandas are in real life. Go watch videos of them just flopping and falling all over the place. They portray it really well in the movies.
I feel like Oogway's "Totally" when he and Po are next to the peach tree is a subtle reference to Crush from Nemo, because he's a tortoise and Crush, being a turtle, is sort of his aquatic counterpart.
I love the small detail of how Po and Tai Lung reacted to the dragon scroll Po says that the scroll is blank, meaning that his story is yet to be told while Tai Lung says that the scroll is nothing, just like he is, a void that can never be filled
Regarding Oogway's definitely not random death, there's a saying- when the student is ready, the teacher appears. When the student is REALLY ready, the master dissappears.
I definitely recommend watching "Rio" released in 2011. It's a beautifully animated film with such celebrity voices as Jesse Eisenberg, Ann Hathaway and Leslie Mann.
I grew up with this movie (well this and Coraline). I'm still blown away on how great this movie is. Jack Black and the rest of the voice actors did an amazing job👍👍👍
Seeing that whole chopsticks montage made me feel personally attacked. I can't eat with those sticks, let alone have a little Kung Fu battle with them. I always start off so determined to eat with them, but I just end up going hungry 🤔🫣. Thanks guys for the great reaction!
I love how the character progression of Shifu required that Oogway left. But they didn’t give him a death scene or something complicated. They just made him disappear into petals. No explanation, and the mechanics don’t make much sense, but it’s pretty and does the job. 👌
“The past is history, the future is a mystery and the now is a gift. That is why it is called the present” is just one of the greatest lines ever spoken in cinema history and it came from a Kung fu tortoise Edit: turtle* sorry 🤦🏻♀️😂
Awesome attention to detail you notice how young Tai Lung kicked the training dummy ;he knocked over the weapon on the wall. But when young tigress kicks the training dummy it just bounces of the wall.
As I grow up I really notice the toxic parenting style shifu had with tai lung and I see parallel to me and other gifted children like I’m sure if tai lung ever expressed exhaustion or interest outside of learning shifu would leverage his dream in a way of like “oh you want a break a dragon warrior doesn’t need breaks a dragon warrior can fight through anything” and that’s why he and others like him crack under pressure or get irrationally angry when denied the goal we worked for because we have no identity outside of it and just feels like there was no other choice but for them to achieve this goal so why look for one just take it yourself.
There's also a spin-off from this that is called "Secrets of the Furious Five", and shows the back story for all five of the members, and contains one of my favourite quotes about Kung-fu. Specifically, that it isn't just about fighting, or exercise, or things like that. It is about "Excellence of Self." Being the best version of you you are able to be, and working to better it, and that any activity can be a form of Kung-fu if done with the intent to truly improve yourself
I like to think that the 5 COULD have defeated Tai Lung if all five had actually been able to engage. That said, cutting the bridge was probably the smartest option.
@@keona5560 it does with the fact that for something to be special, you just have to believe it’s special. There is no “chosen one”. There’s nothing that makes anything “special” by default. You have to believe in something to be great to make it great.
"BIG FAAAAN..." still gets me. lmao. I love the design of all of them but tigress will always be my favorite. For someone who actually grew up doing Kung Fu like me this movie has everything I like. It's been ages since they release the first one but I still think it's awesome to make turn the kung fu animal styles into actual characters of the story.
Maturing is realizing Shifu was technically the villain tai king was just a product of his upbringing , Shifu filled his head with the dragon warrior stuff all his life it was his o my goal and purpose and then he was denied
I love that we see Master Shifu deflecting the blade in the same way we see him move water in the next film! As if his journey towards inner peace has already started!
KFP is an absolutely delightful Dreamworks film imo! Not only is it a temple full of laughs, but it is also action-packed and has inspirational wisdom too. The characters are wonderful and the voices behind them are great too, especially Jack Black as Po and Randall Duk Kim as Oogway. And let’s not forget the music as well because it is amazing! Honestly, the KFP franchise is among my top favorites from Dreamworks, like How To Train Your Dragon for example.🙂
Oogway and Sifu both represent different major Chinese philosophies. Sifu is Confucianism, while Oogway is Daoism, and the dichotomy between the two of them is fascinating to watch. It's really so much of what makes this movie... and this whole series so powerful. And... it is nuts. It is a comedy kung-fu movie starring Jack Black as an overweight, out-of-shape panda who is chosen to be a kung-fu master by an elderly turtle. What... how did this movie's premise provide one of the most emotionally powerful foundations... not just to this movie, which is outstanding, but to the whole series that came from it. The second movie is, in very many ways, better. I will wholeheartedly agree. The third one may not be quite as good, but it is still outstanding, in my opinion, and is such a powerful climax to Po's character arc. I can't wait for you two to get to see that one, too. And, at the end of the day, the fundamental message is to know yourself, accept yourself, and love yourself for who you are, because if you can do that, then nothing can defeat you.
I’m surprised you haven’t reacted to this yet, but better late than never. The coolest fact about this movie is that the bridge fight was the most difficult scene to animate. Initially, nobody wanted to do it, because it had never been done before. The reaction was “Great! All the more reason to do it!”
Flushed Away, Shark Tale, and Chicken Run are also very good Dreamwork movies, you guys should react to these movies! This brings me back memories when I was a kid!
As good as this first one is, the second one is even better. It is my favourite of these. The villain is great. And also, Tigress is definitely my favourite character in these movies😍
What I love about Po’s journey to becoming the Dragon Warrior is he learns to master all aspects (physical, mental, and spiritual) of Kung Fu. I can’t wait for the sequel reactions! I want to recommend another panda movie that is seriously amazing and underrated, The Amazing Panda Adventure starring Stephan Lang (Colonel Miles Quaritch from Avatar). 🐼🐲👊🏻🧠❤️
You guys should react to Secrets of the Furious Five, it's a short film and it gives backstory on the Five. The one with Tigress always makes me cry... I really like it and I've never seen anyone react to it!
the only movie scenes i ever cried for were when oogway ascended and in the movie coco where that old lady remembers her father again in that climax ....these things made me cry for real . despite them being animated movies , i just realized how heart touching they were and how much emotionally they spread the messages .
It just occurred to me that there's probably a lot of people who grew up thinking Po's name was Paul. Not that I was one of those kids, but then again, I watched _Teletubbies_ as a *young* young lad, and that had a character named Po.
I LOVE this film, Tigress is my favourite character. Also I want to yell at the characters, Po is a Panda, Pander shaped, he's fine, leave him be lol An other Dreamworks film that a lot of people tack the mick out of but I think is underrated is Trolls, if given a proper chance, it's great. Songs are catchy, characters are good, it's funny, sad, has it's dark moments! artistically there are a lot of beautiful moments.
I love Kung Fu Panda🤩😆🔥. All three are really good. The animation, the score and then visuals were really amazing. I really enjoyed the first one. Jack Black was born to play Po as he did a amazing job. I adored Dustin Hoffman as Shifu and I loved the growth in his character as he believed in Oogway and trained Po👏👏. Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Jackie Chan as Monkey, David Cross as Crane, Lucy Lui as Viper and Seth Rogen as Mantis were amazing/great👍😆. Loved your reaction and keep up the good work❤️
Oogway says: Tai Lung is not a dragon warrior. Shifu: okay. I respect you more than I respect my son. Oogway says: panda is a dragon warrior. Shifu: I'll kill him. I'll break it like glass. I will destroy it!
Kung Fu Panda is the best kung fu fighting movie ever. Jack Black did a hilarious job as Po, funniest moments, awesome kung fu fighting scenes and delicious foods 🐼🐍🐯🐵🐢🐲🍜🍜🍜🤣🤣🤣
I love how Po doesn't have to eat less, change who he is. His characteristic that was mocked turns out to be his strength. He is resilient, resistant, he's so willing to try - and sometimes you just need the right motivation. 🤍😊 This movie always makes me smile.
Oogway knew that Shifu would never continue his spiritual development as long as he was still around. By Oogway leaving Shifu was forced to continue his journey and believe in Po. Oogway is wiser than us all. Believe it or not Kung Fu Panda II is even better.
It’s honestly insane how well made these movies are whether it’s Pixar or Dreamworks if you’re familiar with 3d rendering. A mjndboggling amount of work just to make them functional, much less an actual good movie. Panda is on the top end too.
The point y'all brought up about Tigress @27:27 is accurate because they allowed her to be a great character who happened to *be* female instead of making that her whole personality.
Yay so glad I noticed you guys posted this! One of my upmost favorite animated movies from Dreamworks. As well you guys showed the part with the rose petals and pool under the scroll. Everyone cuts that out but its my favorite scene in the entire movie! It gives me chills every time, the most beautiful scene! I believe they do explain the Wuxi finger hold later on in sequels. Can't wait to see the next one!
The animation in this movie is uniquely unparalleled in quality. Not many animated movies have been able to match the quality even all these years later.
funfact Oogway means turtle in mandarin, so a lot of the main characters names are the animals they are & then there's master shifu... shifu(pronounced shr fu) means 'master' in mandarin so his name is literally 'master master' 🤣
Idk y maybe it was cause I saw this movie at a young but I never noticed that during the dumpling fight at the end when shifu tosses the dumpling u can hear it landing in the bowl. Like it's nothing major but the fact that the sound design team did it to just to shifu is so dope he can shoot buckets without looking makes me happy god I love this movie
I remember going to see this movie in theatres with godmother and two other family friends. It was funny and I was in love with it ever since. That's one of the reasons I became curios with Chinese history and martial arts. I even did a bit of Karate activities and I thought I was legit doing some Kung Fu but it was boring to me but still good. I can't wait for the second reaction of this Trilogy we are going through my Childhood.

The saddest thing about Tai Lung is him looking at his own reflection and saying "It's nothing!"
For example, I don't thing we ever saw Po's reflection the first time he looked at the scroll, only later, when he needed to see it.
Oogway's ascension and the music that goes with it is one of the best cinematic moments in History.
Really? because for me " starring Jack Black" sounds like a win/win scenario. Just about everything that man has starred in has been gold.
Jack black is a powerhouse. I dont understand what youre saying
I literally just watched this movie yesterday for the first time in 5+ years! One of my favorite animated movies of all time, without a doubt.
I love the small detail of how Po and Tai Lung reacted to the dragon scroll
Po says that the scroll is blank, meaning that his story is yet to be told
while Tai Lung says that the scroll is nothing, just like he is, a void that can never be filled
i cant wait for you to watch part 2! it's my favourite out of the 3
Regarding Oogway's definitely not random death, there's a saying- when the student is ready, the teacher appears. When the student is REALLY ready, the master dissappears.
Genuinely suprised these 2 hadn't watched this masterpiece yet.
I definitely recommend watching "Rio" released in 2011. It's a beautifully animated film with such celebrity voices as Jesse Eisenberg, Ann Hathaway and Leslie Mann.
For me, Jemaine Clement stole the film as ‘Nigel’ 😊
I grew up with this movie (well this and Coraline). I'm still blown away on how great this movie is. Jack Black and the rest of the voice actors did an amazing job👍👍👍
Seeing that whole chopsticks montage made me feel personally attacked. I can't eat with those sticks, let alone have a little Kung Fu battle with them. I always start off so determined to eat with them, but I just end up going hungry 🤔🫣. Thanks guys for the great reaction!
I always felt Tai Lung was Tigress multiplied by a thousand, better at Kung Fu, more proud, more ambitious, and more angry.
That is why it is called the present” is just one of the greatest lines ever spoken in cinema history and it came from a Kung fu tortoise
Edit: turtle* sorry 🤦🏻♀️😂
Awesome attention to detail you notice how young Tai Lung kicked the training dummy ;he knocked over the weapon on the wall. But when young tigress kicks the training dummy it just bounces of the wall.
Po looks into the scroll "It's blank!"
Tai Lung looks into the scroll "It's nothing!"
This movie gave me the meaning of "Never judge a book by it's cover"
“He puts some MSG, man. Come on.”
😂 Totally agree 🍜
😂😂
@@whitenoisereacts do you guys take requests?
As I grow up I really notice the toxic parenting style shifu had with tai lung and I see parallel to me and other gifted children like I’m sure if tai lung ever expressed exhaustion or interest outside of learning shifu would leverage his dream in a way of like “oh you want a break a dragon warrior doesn’t need breaks a dragon warrior can fight through anything” and that’s why he and others like him crack under pressure or get irrationally angry when denied the goal we worked for because we have no identity outside of it and just feels like there was no other choice but for them to achieve this goal so why look for one just take it yourself.
Can't wait for you guys to react to the second one, Tigress and Po's interactions in that movie are SO well done; As is the whole movie :D
I'm so glad you're reacting to this trilogy they are some of the best animated movies ever imo !! All of them are so perfect in every way !
I love how this movie subverts the “chosen one” trope
Does it? I can't say I ever felt that it did at all
@@keona5560 it does with the fact that for something to be special, you just have to believe it’s special.
Oogway was like mythical level of old. Like 1000 years or something.
Fun fact. Po fights with real kung fu style. Its bear style.
Maturing is realizing Shifu was technically the villain tai king was just a product of his upbringing , Shifu filled his head with the dragon warrior stuff all his life it was his o my goal and purpose and then he was denied
If someone hasn't already mentioned it; the 1979 Jackie Chan film Fearless Hyena has a great dumpling fight scene bewteen master and student.
I don't think it's better than How to Train Your Dragon, but of course, at the same level, I think these two films are the best animated films ever.
I love that we see Master Shifu deflecting the blade in the same
way we see him move water in the next film!
Ayyy glad you are delving into the Kung Fu Panda trilogy. my most favorite movies
This is one of the best animated movies ever and truly a masterpiece I generally can't decide which kung fu panda movie is better 1 or 2
the only movie scenes i ever cried for were when oogway ascended and in the movie coco where that old lady remembers her father again in that climax ....these things made me cry for real . despite them being animated movies , i just realized how heart touching they were and how much emotionally they spread the messages .
The final battle between Tai Lung and Shifu is one of my favorite scenes in any animated movie.
Also I want to yell at the characters, Po is a Panda, Pander shaped, he's fine, leave him be lol
An other Dreamworks film that a lot of people tack the mick out of but I think is underrated is Trolls, if given a proper chance, it's great. Songs are catchy, characters are good, it's funny, sad, has it's dark moments! artistically there are a lot of beautiful moments.
I love your reactions,good luck guys 😘
24:40 The way Oogway says "no" here, he sounds like a male Consuela.
Loved your reaction and keep up the good work❤️
30:51 if you pause it when shi fu takes the dumpling u can see him break the 4th wall and smile at the camera😅
Oogway says: Tai Lung is not a dragon warrior.
Shifu: okay. I respect you more than I respect my son.
Oogway says: panda is a dragon warrior. Shifu: I'll kill him. I'll break it like glass. I will destroy it!
Real deal, both Oogway and Shifu failed Tai Lung.
Kung Fu Panda is the best kung fu fighting movie ever. Jack Black did a hilarious job as Po, funniest moments, awesome kung fu fighting scenes and delicious foods
🐼🐍🐯🐵🐢🐲🍜🍜🍜🤣🤣🤣
I love how Po doesn't have to eat less, change who he is. His characteristic that was mocked turns out to be his strength. He is resilient, resistant, he's so willing to try - and sometimes you just need the right motivation. 🤍😊 This movie always makes me smile.
This movie is one of my favourite dreamwork movies
I would kill to have been able to see this in theaters
The way I ascended with excitement the moment I saw this notification
Yes, finally my favourite Panda! These movies are so good, hope you will be reacting to all of them?
My kids watch this about once a week, the full trilogy. It honestly makes me so happy, this is one of my favorites💖
Everyone needs a oogway in their life
12:44 that's such a gorgeous shot, the blurry backgroung with the rim light
I love this trilogy and the music ✨
funfact
Oogway means turtle in mandarin, so a lot of the main characters names are the animals they are
& then there's master shifu... shifu(pronounced shr fu) means 'master' in mandarin so his name is literally 'master master' 🤣
This is a great film, one of my favorite animated films.
Idk y maybe it was cause I saw this movie at a young but I never noticed that during the dumpling fight at the end when shifu tosses the dumpling u can hear it landing in the bowl. Like it's nothing major but the fact that the sound design team did it to just to shifu is so dope he can shoot buckets without looking makes me happy god I love this movie
this is more than a children's film this film represents so many people and empowers so many types of people is an incredible fuckin Film...💖✨
28:42 I remember when I saw this movie as a kid in the cinema, I literally said out loud, "Now, *he's* saying that?!"
i love how ugui's name is literally what 'tortoise' is in mandarin
Edit: and shifu means master lmao so master shifu = master master
I remember going to see this movie in theatres with godmother and two other family friends. It was funny and I was in love with it ever since. That's one of the reasons I became curios with Chinese history and martial arts. I even did a bit of Karate activities and I thought I was legit doing some Kung Fu but it was boring to me but still good. I can't wait for the second reaction of this Trilogy we are going through my Childhood.
recommending "hoodwinked", "racing stripes", "flushed away", "the boxtrolls", "the dark crystal" (reboot series and film), "mowgli: legend of the jungle", "watership down" (reboot series), "the book of life", "queen of katwe" and "a monster in paris"
Kung fu panda is a very incredible movie. And Po is a great dragon warrior.
