    Ive never watched a full plein air episode before now. Fascinating. I paint in watercolor. This video lets me know why--you are so patient and know what you want it to look like before you begin. Wow.

    Thank you Jessica, I am interested to try oils. I’ve done about 2 years with watercolour and 1 year with acrylic paint. I love your technique and lovely positive voice and guidance. God bless you.

    Hey Jessica, that is a lovely painting and I really enjoyed watching you painting it. I learned quite a lot which I can use in my landscape painting and that is why I sought you out. The balance between watching you paint and explanations and tips was just right. However initially I would have liked more of a view of what you were actually painting.
    It is so nice to watch a vid that is not all about a self obsessed artist and his/her opinions on art and their paintings lol. Well done on your work and thank you very much, of course I will subscribe, I would be daft not to: Best regards Fiona.

    I’ve just spent a very happy 45 mins over coffee and breakfast watching your beautiful video. What a great way to start the day!
    I live across the pond but my daughter used to live in NY and it’s great to see you have these wonderful peaceful areas to paint.
    Your videos are very informative and extremely helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
    How you worked in the wind so successful is very skilful.

    So instructive!
    I went out to plein air this morning and it looked so good from a distance, but ended up being a wiper when I got home. LOL! Still learning and forget to do all those things you pointed out that you were doing along the way. I'm going to watch it again and take notes!

    You got to use "a lot" of that beautiful bright clear green in Ireland, huh😊🍀?
    You are having quite a bit of wind! Good that you stabilized your easel???
    This painting is looking so fresh and alive. This Arboretum must be very beautiful?!
    In this plein air setting, you are also showing us how painting settings aren't always ideal......but fight on...capturing the beauty😊 Enjoying!

    I just subscribed to your channel! I've really enjoyed your videos. You are such a sweet person! It just takes me forever to finish a painting, I am hoping that I can move along more quickly after watching more of your videos. I love to bring my artwork outside, but I get attacked by bees and every other bug you can imagine LOL. I too had a pet chicken. Her name was Daffodil! Thanks again Jessica!

    I really like the way you paint, and I think you’re doing the best art show on youtube.
    I have a couple questions:
    *What do you call an artist that can paint portrait, still life, and plein air landscapes all with or without the use of photographs? You can even paint a self portrait from a mirror.
    *Is there a genre you most comfortable with?

    • @JessicaHenry
      @JessicaHenry  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Jeff, I couldn't decide- I love them all and would feel a certain emptiness if I stopped doing even one genre.

    Hi Jessica really finding your painting demo,s very helpful I have yet to paint plein air but I will keep painting do you think it important to be trained at art school or can self taught artists be just as good I think the mixing off the colors becomes easer and more natural with practice thanks again Charles

    Do you start with a fresh pallet every time you paint? You truly are so generous with all your painting information I feel like I am in a workshop learning from you. Thank you so much

    • @JessicaHenry

      Thank you Lilly! Since I paint everyday (or just about) I just keep the paint in place. Sometimes I'll scrape the dry stuff off after it builds up.

    • @JessicaHenry
      @JessicaHenry  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Laura, I use Neutral pH Adhesive glue. You can get it from art stores. just brush it on the panel, lay the painting down, roll it with a protective sheet, and then press between heavy books over night.

    Hi Jessica! I have a question. Have you ever flown with your paints, oil, and so on? If yes, could you share with us, please, your experience and to give us some advices how it goes? Thank you!

    • @JessicaHenry
      @JessicaHenry  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, many times, all over the world. Just yesterday I made this video with information on traveling with your oil paints and what you need to know and pack for regulations. I am not sure what airport you are flying out of, but I assume that airports all over the world would operate under the same regulations. Anyway, here is the link to yesterdays video. In the section below the video is a complete packing list and a PDF link to a document to keep with your paints to help the airlines accept that they are safe for air travel. th-cam.com/video/-_t6ArWlQJ0/w-d-xo.html
