I grind from the lowest tiers to the T10. The most interesting thing is to compare my stats between tiers and other nations. I dont even play T10 as much since its the most boring tiers, other tiers and progress is so much fun
One could make that argument for every American BB, the grind from T3 through the T8 is awful due to lacking a dispersion mod, and none of their T9s are particularly bad because of finally gaining access to a dispersion mod.
I think the biggest problem with this UU is that most good players in a Vermont hold their shots, as you said, for that potential devstrike, as a Vermont player myself, heck I find myself wanting a shorter cooldown only during those niche endgame situations against a particularly annoying gunboat DD or that one juke troll Venezia, but most of the time I keep my shotgun loaded and have usually been concealed thanks to the absurd spotting range on that ship. It's fair mod tho, compared to CC (which deserved a slight buff on the dispersion) that plainly buffs the ship instead of giving it a different playstyle
Have you seen Vermont ? it's so big and slow and high up in the water, so 5% dispersion doesn't do anything people can shoot in it general direction and you get a hit and two
I really enjoy this one personally, it lets you play in a few different ways, all of which have their own merits. You can play with UU and Plotting room for just a nice DPM buff, or you can do MBM3 in slot 6 to bet 31.7s reload on 12 18 inch guns...which is wild even without the accuracy buff. The AA and ASW buff is a nice little bonus too. All in all one of the more enjoyable UUs IMO.
Not even newer players. I just don't play as much anymore. I'm not even sure if I picked up a single UU after they moved them to the RB. Used to be able to just play the ship and eventually get the upgrade.
I think it's probably worse than running concealment. Most players are not going to take advantage of the reload and you also lose your concealment and better speed from brisk (not that you can't still take brisk, but it will be active much less often. I feel like the extra reload just isn't worth it, even when only considering reload you need to shoot on cooldown to get any advantage from the legendary upgrade. That most likely translates to more frequent shots which aren't aimed as well, compared to less shots which are aimed better with the concealment upgrade.
11:47 Vermont reminds me of the Mushroom men in Dark root garden from Dark Souls 1. Slow as a glacier but if you FAFO theyll deck you in the face and make 75% or morenof your life disappear.
for me, this is an obvious upgrade. I like to use battleships as a zoning threat (i play yamato without concealment for example). And the extra reload helps in opportunistic plays as you are sometimes still reloading when a broadside opens up.
Lol, I was in that first game and knew you were trying to demonstrate the Legendary Mods for the BBs as I watched the Columbo vid. Sadly I crashed about half way through the game, didnt check my driver after the update, and didnt get back before I was dead. It was looking pretty bad for us anyway. Still would have liked to given you a better game. Next time, lol
13:50 HE damage cannot be healed 100%. While yes, the fire damage can, penetration damage, regardless of the type of shell, is all healed for 50% by a standard heal. In terms of healing capability, a Colombo smacking you for big numbers is no different than a Conqueror hitting you without setting a fire.
Genuine question. I left about two months after subs were introduced because I felt my positioning no longer mattered and pushing felt impossible. I've been recently watching PQ and feeling the itch to get back into the game, and in full honesty, Vermont seems ridiculous. That Yoshino did a lot of misplays showing broadside yes but even when he would manouver, the overmatch and accuracy chunked him for half his health or so. This doesn't seem like the game I loved back in 2015. I don't mind Whiskey as match because I'm in favor of broadsides getting punished (more accuracy, smaller caliber) but Vermont appears to just be "I have decided I want to ruin your game" and there is no counterplay besides running away from him due to its lack of speed, which is exactly what I hated in subs. Sure it won't win a game but should you be targeted as a squishier target it's over for you. I realise these games are hand picked obviously but surely this bothers someone else too?? PS: do I get any sort of bonus for not having played in a while if I return? K love ya bye.
I notice that you are sometimes a bit late to start aiming. You seem to wait to aim until you're almost reloaded, and _then_ you pick a spot, but you want to re-adjust a few times to be sure you get it right. You seemed to be better at finishing your aiming pre-reload on the Colombo video for some reason. Maybe it's the feeling of a slow and cumbersome ship, so you want to wait until you're sure he won't go dark before you commit to aiming? I think you can get a little more out of the reload buff if you get better at thinking of it as a regular ship, and finish your aim adjusting before the bell rings.
I don't have colombo yet (as well as a couple RB ships) is it worth it to get this UU or just get the colombo one and start working on getting that ship?
Please don't say that legendary upgrades being straight out buffs instead of being a side-grade is ok. The massive outcry over NTC as originally proposed was specifically for the uncompetitive problems it brings. Never ok that a new player with his fresh T10 has to face another player with the same ship that is much better because of upgrades he doesn't even have access to start grinding for till after 6 lines.
WG wil lchange modules and UUs. As what they planned, Yamato's UU will make 13% better dispersion instead of 7% with no turret traverse penalty. Only up to 5 slots, American BBs will no longer have their unique upgrades.
A bit off topic, but you brought the subject in the video soooo.... I downloaded WoWs Legends yesterday, and in my first carrier game as a DD the carrier was focusing me HARD. And... no one shot at me, i forgot console WoWs doesn't have plane spotting, and when i noticed it, it felt soooooooooooooo good. Sure CVs still damage you (when they hit), but playing the console game without plane spotting made me realize how good it feels to not be plane spotted. It's sooooo gooooooooooooood to not eat shit for free because the dumb cv spotted you by mistake. Just shows how WG should just listen to the community for once.
In theory this is a 10% increase in DPM, but like you said, only when firing on cooldown, and with a 34 second reload, that is just not realistic. I am not going to get this UU.
I disagree that Vermont needs a nerf. It's very slow and extremely easy to damage. It's only true defensive advantage is the heal and concealment. Its guns hit hard, but take a long time to reload and the shells are slow. It's decently balanced. There are other ships that need balancing much more than Vermont.
yeah this just sucks now ground the columbo a while back shelved it because the guns are just too frustrating and now we know it wont get fixed because then the LM would be way OP
"You went full reload. You never go full reload." Hmm, co-op, though... You REALLY want the faster reload there, you're closer so dispersion matters less, and concealment counts for much less.
I think you must go to psychologist. Every video is the same. It cannot be such that in childhood they beat an aircraft carrier with a toy or scare them with it.
I love my stealthy brick and use brisk on my captain. So this upgrades would have to be a strong recommendation throughout the Wows channels I enjoy, for me to buy it. I don't know if I shoot all theat much in cooldown because most of the time after hitting a decent salvo, the enemy ships try to go dark or turn so I don't know if -4 sec reload really helps you there. Also with the HE spam I think you don't want worse conceal because you only outrun DDs/CLs at 1/2 speed.😂
Vermont doesn’t need a nerf and here’s why. The grind is such an awful experience that you should get a Vermont as is.
The thing is that the majority of veteran players just skip all the grind
I grind from the lowest tiers to the T10. The most interesting thing is to compare my stats between tiers and other nations. I dont even play T10 as much since its the most boring tiers, other tiers and progress is so much fun

I don’t want to fight Columbo
What grind?

Love to see a series of you ranking legendary mods
Up
Yea
This please! I finally finished off all the RB ships and still have 100k RB points burning a hole in my pocket.
Ship request: Legmod Elbing
This
Considering the size of a Elbing being a small cruiser, I want to see this as well!
He hates elbing tho lol
@@clmwrxcuz he can't play it
Watch Trenlass, he totally loves Elbing with legmod, you will probably hear his evil laugh!
Better than an earlier iteration i heard of where they planned to take away alpha damage
Concealment mod also makes shells fired at your ship less accurate, 5% matters a lot at 20km. So you'll take more damage as well.
Have you seen Vermont ? it's so big and slow and high up in the water, so 5% dispersion doesn't do anything people can shoot in it general direction and you get a hit and two
As someone who never played conceal mod Vermont, this is an absolute win

No other ship in the game elicits that evil cackle as much as Vermont lol. Brick smash!
Catching a cruiser out with an Elbing is the DD equivalent….
Not even newer players. I just don't play as much anymore. I'm not even sure if I picked up a single UU after they moved them to the RB. Used to be able to just play the ship and eventually get the upgrade.

giant ass vermont having better concealment by default than this new tier 8 russian coal cruiser which is tiny af is absolutely wild

.1 Sigma is about a 5% reduction to your average dispersion area.
Ship Request: Minotaur Leg Mod. Smoke for dayyyyys.
Oh wow! I thought this was in 6th slot. Now this UU looks much better
Sardonic laugh ! 😄 Our beloved PQ 😎
Lol, I was in that first game and knew you were trying to demonstrate the Legendary Mods for the BBs as I watched the Columbo vid. I was the kitakaze in that game, didnt know you had legmod!
this may make me get the vermont now :D love your content :)
Imagine a Vermont super ship lol. The Maine is super op. I couldn’t imagine a super Vermont
With the number of CVs and Subs at T10 does a lower detection really matter any longer. The concealment will be equal to the Montana.
TLDW; "should I or shouldn't I"....it depends on the match which you can't predict.
Might grind Vermont next… anyway when does Hipper get its video?
Very nice ship. Grind is hell, especially Kansas. VERY different play style from pretty much all other BBs.
11:48 It's called the 'Unga Bunga' PQ
13:50 HE damage cannot be healed 100%. While yes, the fire damage can, penetration damage, regardless of the type of shell, is all healed for 50% by a standard heal. It's hard to explain,But you make any ship Look easy to play! Lege Mod or Not, I coulnt tell. tyvm PQ. take care.
I notice that you are sometimes a bit late to start aiming. You seem to wait to aim until you're almost reloaded, and _then_ you pick a spot, but you want to re-adjust a few times to be sure you get it right.

Dev Strike armament reload time? i would love to get that too :D
auboyneau has that, great on conde
this is the reason why is called the " Brick " :) for it hits like one.
I love that skin. What is it called and how do you get it?
What camo are you using?
what was that mod with the green circle ontop of the enemy ships targeted ?
Vermont does not need a concealment nerf
How did you get this camo for the vermont?
I don't have colombo yet (as well as a couple RB ships) is it worth it to get this UU or just get the colombo one and start working on getting that ship?
WoWS players be like: "WHOAH 10% RELOAD THIS CHANGES THE ENTIRE SHIP"
I have too many Legendary ships sitting in port collecting dust. No room for this one.
Let’s gooo! Buffalo when?

What happened with Henri?

Now Superships will have slot 6 with special upgrades that cost 150000 coal . All I can say is that it's a lot of change.
Bonk build = best build

It turns good
78k Slavo!!! My God xD
yeah this just sucks now ground the columbo a while back shelved it because the guns are just too frustrating and now we know it wont get fixed because then the LM would be way OP
>Better concealmeant than Moskva....
does anyone know why his heal comes back so quickly like ohio at 10:26?
yeah it just has the same heal as ohio xD
Vermont just has the same quick cool down as Ohio
15:27 💀💀💀
Hello potato
3:18 I dont think you are allowed to use the word "fast" in a video about Vermont
80k salvo lol jesus
"You went full reload. You never go full reload." Hmm, co-op, though... You REALLY want the faster reload there, you're closer so dispersion matters less, and concealment counts for much less.
not worth.
